Thank you so much for this. I was working on my intro and I had a feeling it was getting too long. Your minute and a half guide has given me something to whittle it down to, while keeping all the bits where I highlight my strengths. I have my interview with Amazon for an internship this time tomorrow evening. It'll be my first interview at such a large company, so regardless of how it goes, it will be a learning experience.

I'd also make sure that you sound like a human being when you answer this. Don't recite a script, don't recite your memorized speech. It's pretty simple. What have you been up to lately, what were you up to previously that's relevant, a fun tid bit or two if you have one (I write Christmas movies for TV so I always close with that) My answer was maybe 90 seconds tops. Reverse chronological order works better as well.

For this kind of question, in the event multiple interviewers ask you this same question, would you still recommend coming up with multiple versions of answers (for instance, highlighting different strengths in each?). Different versions in terms of length - yes. Maybe also the longer one could contain more strengths, keeping the core strength unchanged

Usually not, unless something exceptional or if the personal direction highlights on a core competency critical for the role.
