Best to contact the manufacturer about that, but I would think they would be ok with light offroading ... but mounting something heavy like a spare tire to the bedsides will causes unnecessary strain on the bedsides which have been known to slowly separate over time from the combination of offroading with added weight.
Great informative video...would this system work with the factory hard shelled, tri-fold Tonneu cover? Any idea if the manufacturer has an updated system that allows you keep the forward bed anchor points without having to drill into the molle system itself?
I'm not sure how the factory tonneau cover is installed. I don't think they have updated the molle to be able to use that forward ancho point ... but the entire molle panel is an anchor point really.
Get a 90-degree fitting for the end of the Waterport then attach your Quick-Connect to it. And your Amazon link for the Water Port: The one on Amazon does not look like the one you have.
Have you decided to get rid of the bed rack? Glad you made fun of yourself - was also thinking “how many Molle panels does one guy need?” Wouldn’t it be cheaper to use rivnuts to mount all the bed items?? What about a locking truck bed cap and all those bed Molle panels loaded up? Then get rack for truck cap?
I sold my bed rack about a month ago and not sure if I'll get another bed rack just yet. I'm enjoying the rackless look of the truck and the molle panels help regain some space to mount stuff that was on the rack.

Awesome video bro!! When you gonna do a diesel swap in your tacoma?
Are these stainless steel MOLLE?
@@helmkaj The website doesn't say but I'd assume regular steel with PC.
You really make Gen2 look so much better than Gen3! Way to go!
So does the 4.0L
How are you mounting the rotopax base on the molle panel? I have a similar panel and I’m looking for ideas.
I go over that in this bed setup vid: th-cam.com/video/1rk6DxB5Occ/w-d-xo.html
I saw some videos from a few years ago- you have really changed your build a- lot
Ha ha yeah the truck has gone through quite a bit.
Whered you get the molle panel behind your rear window i cant find it anywhere

Could you clarify which Quick Fits you used mounting the Water Port.
These Super Quick Fists for the Waterport: amzn.to/2WN0oWl
@@Tacomaholic thanks bro, ordered.
Man, sucks living in the ghetto cause all these would get stolen with a quickness
I like the installed preview at the beginning of the video.
What are the rubber straps called for the tank mount? Link?
Those are the Super Quick Fist Clamps: Was $13.95, now $7.61 after 45% discount amzn.to/2M3fsNs
Thinking about running this setup with my softtop
‘Bizarre mating ritual’😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Can you mount a hi lift on those?
Yes you can, Its a modular panel you can mount anything to it. just have to make or adapt the mounting hardware for it.
Absolutely and Cali Raised offers all of the hardware for an extra charge. Or you could just DIY with stuff from the hardware store.
Ha! @7:45, Extended trip “To The Mall”
Are these stong enough to hold onto a mounted spare tire?
Best to contact the manufacturer about that, but I would think they would be ok with light offroading ... but mounting something heavy like a spare tire to the bedsides will causes unnecessary strain on the bedsides which have been known to slowly separate over time from the combination of offroading with added weight.

Nice video. Will the cali raise molle work with a bakflip tonneau cover?
I believe it should but best to contact them about it.

Excellent idea.
I've got the older version of the Waterport and looks like they only carry the new one.
@@Tacomaholic Which do you think is better?
Looks great! Thanks for the feature!
Love it! Great product. 👍
Weird mating ritual ! 😂😂😂
Does this work with tonneu cover
It should but I'd recommend contacting them just to be sure.
Cool but victory 4x4 makes a panel thats more functional and its under the bed rail not on it.
You mean like this one th-cam.com/video/MpFcMkXe7ns/w-d-xo.html
Which Waterport is that?
Their first design I believe.
@@Tacomaholic 8 gallons?
@@relaxvibes2986 No it's 3 gallons if I remember correctly.
Great mod! Looks great as well as it’s function👍🏻 Stay safe my friend

Tacomaholic it’s time to get a hard (metal) tonneau cover!
Thanx bro!
I have these, they're cool, but they block the rails so you cant use soft topper (cant slide it back and forth)
Wouldn't it be better to put this, with your water tank, on the passenger side to counter the Taco lean issue?
Could be, but my hi-lift jack is going on the passenger side.
Whats with the fire extinguishers? Really?
Horsepower obviously
Are you kidding me? Why would you NOT have a fire extinguisher in your vehicle?
@@Tacomaholicgot it! I will get one tomorrow then!
@@westcoastplinkin6559never seen a fire resulting from a vehicle in my 58 years. Silly. It’s an adornment.
