Found it! It's the bottom spring next to the front bushing, I just put a piece of plastic in between the springs and it's all good!

My 2014 Taco baja package does it also. It's so darn annoying! Glad I came across this video and hopefully i can get it taken care of. On my 99 Taco I sprayed down the entire rear suspension, trying to eliminate the problem and it worked but I couldn't pinpoint the source. Thanks for sharing.

Same issue - Toyota dealer mechanic said the leaf springs are still good on the 2014 tacoma but it's the pads that are wearing. For 2014 Toyota doesn't just sell the pad part but you have to replace the entire leaf spring - in my case it's both sides they say ( although I hear it on one side) and it's a $1600 - fix for a squeaky spring. Crazy that Toyota sells the pads separate for only certain years. Apparently the labor to replace leaf springs is approximately 3.5-4 hours

The squeaky noise is the leaf spring silencers it not sold by toyota for this particular truck but they do sell for other that work part no 48252-26070 it not hard to change.

Just lubed my friction pads. The 2 near the cab... Left and right are really thin. They seem worn and do most of the work. They sit between the spring. They are round.

My 2017 TRD Offroad Tacoma had a problem with squeaking with the OEM suspension kit. The same happened when I installed King suspension with Icon upper control arms and Icon leaf springs. The more you go off-roading and pressure wash underneath the more it will squeak. To fix problem just use silicon spray on all rubber bushings or other parts connected to suspension and use white lithium spray on leaf springs. I used WD-40 Specialist Silicon and WD-40 White lithium.

The most common LOUD squeak from leaf springs is the problem I have. The friction pads (4) at the ends of the shorter leafs are worn away allowing for a very heavy metal to metal contact. Get the new pads installed--end of problem. 2013 tacoma.

So curiously, what did you do to fix the problem? Also, I didn't hear any squeaking in your video at any point to indicate that just wiggling the plastic spacer did anything to eliminate a squeak.

I'm dealing with an ANNOYING squeak from my driver's side leaf spring. So bad that when I'm driving through parking lots with bumps it is loud. I figured it was the front bushing but now I'm not so sure.

That noise is nothing compared to the leaf spring squeak my Mitsubishi Triton (L200) makes. If mine was like yours I would be happy. Lucky mine is a Mitsubishi 2.5 Turbo Diesel because their motors are rattly and louder than a Massey Ferguson Tractor, so I can't hear it when I'm driving. But if I was parked & decided to throw the leg with the missus the whole world would know what was going on.

Do not use WD-40 as it will dry out. Spray oil is sold in aerosol cans. Makes for easier and quicker coverage of noisy leaf springs.

install the grease nipple then grease them ( Old school) ... Why ? because you drive the truck...Trucks are water buffalo..they work and work and work then need that kind of service are NORMAL...If you do not like the noise of the truck then buy a Mercedes...Now different stories OK
