The ginger (Billy Lee) was not harmed in the entirety of this run.. Unbelievable. Damageless Double Dragon completed!! Congratulations Slack. It was a blast watching it all come together.
Thanks! The Double Dragon Damageless Project was in my opinion even harder than Ninja Gaiden because each enemy has to be killed with a proper timing otherwise they can hit you.
Good lord. I'm trying to think up what possibly damageless runs you could do after this but I don't know if there's anything more difficult than the ones you've already done lol. This is incredible.
Battletoads comes to mind. XD -On second thought, Slackanater should probably pass on that one. Just completing the game can destroy sanity in anyone. To add a no-damage run on top of that would possibly unleash Cefca (Japanese spelling)/Kefka (U.S. spelling) upon us all for real.-
Battletoads could take a lifetime. I’ve beaten it with a game genie, but never w/o. I personally know that it’s harder than piss on Pluto. If I saw a damageless AND deathless run on BT, I’d have to nominate that individual for “best gamer ever”.
@@unclecharles If you did even little bit research in any platform you would find out that battletoads hitless was done years ago by multiple players, Themexicanrunner for example. Actual speedrunners of games can do pretty crazy stuff with games in any category.
How was it a plot twist? Even when I was an ignorant, oblivious kid, I knew Billy was behind it the SECOND you started the game. Hell, it was harder to figure out that I had to press select to start the game than it was for me to realize Jimmy was behind the whole gang.
It was super effective to wave-move in sight of opponents. I didn't know that it was possible for the final boss as well, that or I was just ignorant, lol. How would you compare this achievement against your others, including Ninja Gaiden no hit?
For me Double Dragon as a whole was more difficult than Ninja Gaiden. However there was no single part DD that was as hard as the demon head kill in NG. But if you look at the number of precision inputs DD has many more as enemies are not one hit kills and if and kick or punch is to fast or to slow you are getting hit.
It also shows in attempts. I have more the double the attempts in DD and only 3 runs to the boss Damageless. Where with NG I had I believe 12 runs to the demon in half as many attempts.
Yea for sure. I’m really loving the routing for damageless. Damageless has a major advantage over speedrunning and that is without the timer I’m free to talk with chat and that is one part I really Love about live streaming. Next up is Faxanadu then possible Zelda 2 and Kid Icarus. These are 3 that to my knowledge have never been done before. I also want to add in some classics that have already been completed damageless like contra, Metroid, Castlevania, battletoads. So yes I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon
Through a lot of trial and error I was able to find ways to avoid damage and come up with a route, Then just grinded and grinded until the stars aligned. If you have any specific questions don't hesitate to ask
I don't think that was 100% damageless because every time you fell off of a cliff and just kind of fell you take damage. So you did take minor damage I think.
This is not the case. You do not take damage from falling off ledges. This was a question we asked early on so we tested it and you can literally fall over and over and you will never lose any HP.
you said in chat today this was prob the hardest flawless run....had to come here and see it! Amazing. Simply Amazing. GG.
What I like the most about Slack, besides a great player he is, is the casual conversation he made during the game, this guy is awesome

"ahhh you f*cker" lmao well with that kinda stress, it's almost impossible not to say that when the enemies play dirty
12:37
Love the PSA about the Lindas.
Just found about this from a Karl Jobst video. Great run!

Great accomplishment. Congrats.
That final stage was intense, start to finish. I especially liked the "BaaAAIit" at 16:19, good save right there.
Epic run. My bro hiked the AT in '99. Much love.
Nooo way it actually happened!!? I honestly thought it was impossible when I watched you practicing it. Well done! Another awesome record
Well played : ) Congratulations on the accomplishment!
Hate that I missed this live. I’ve been a regular in the Slack Pack lately. Way to go Slack!!!
Awesome run! Can't wait to see Faxanadu damageless next

I definitely have battletoads on my radar

Congratulations! That was very cool to watch, especially with so many memories of playing the game as a kid
Omg you should put each game you beat perfectly on a hunting plaque. That was insane.
first ninja gaiden and now this. most impressive slackanater.
This is outstanding. Here because I just finished the game for the first time this afternoon. Great job sir!
Congrats! Finishing this game is no easy feet.
Congratulations Slack! I knew you could do it! You make the impossible possible!
Incredible run! Congrats!
Nice job slack
Glorious. Glad I found you from Karl. gonna join the wolf pack!
huge congrats man that's awesome!
Well you did it! Congrats from Costa Rica buay.
Still one of the greatest plot twists in video game history. Your brother was the leader the entire time.

Absolute legend.
Coming from someone who can't beat the third stage without cheating, that's absolutely crazy! GG!!!

@@slackanater6639 Thanks for the information. It's great to hear the clearers' opinion on the runs!
Do you want to do other games hitless?

Damn. I never knew it was possible. Imagine some guy in real life beating up an entire gang without ever taking a hit.
awesome run!
Legendary!
Man that end guy can take a lot of elbows
I love the wolves.
GG
Remember you can actually round kick at the same time with p2 to switch to next stage?
Cool run but my Dad and I did this 10 years ago in our basement. Wish I recorded it.
You savage
"Kelly", eh? I thought the guy with the machine gun was Phil Collins.
You maybe right🤔
Damn it I missed it
Omg. How is this even possible? Seriously

I think I explained it in the description
double dragon 2 game boy easiest hitless game nes version harder
I have never played the game boy game but yes the NES double dragon is a super hard hit less run. Maybe the hardest I have done
