Same one of first games i owned on nes. Black box golf, kungfu, spyhunter, topgun, mario, mike tysons punchout, rush n attack, rc pro am, ninja turtles. The good old days
@@stevenseagal4664 Check this out lol,I had my NES for 2 weeks without any games,my uncle peep it out,he took me to Toys R Us in Melrose Park IL and with his first ever credit card and his first purchase he brought me Ikari Warriors,I think that was almost 40 years ago and we still talk about it. What a blessing
Regarding your description, I clearly remember believing Blanka was a giant rip off of Amazon and was the kind of kid, believe it or not, that would be angered by such a thing.
I remember all the sound effects in this game and buying it at toys r us. I remember at toys r us You had to pull the slip of paper with all the info on it a walk over to the both with the glass to pic up your game. Such great memories
Bro, I wore this game out back in the day. I'm 50 years old now and every once in a while i still fire up my old school NES and pop this bad boy in there.😂 Good times 🎉
I wish that I still had my nes. Blades of Steel, Tecmo Bowl, Homerun Derby, Castlevania, Metroid, Mike Tysons Punchout, Friday the 13th, Contra, and of course Mario. Damn those were the days. Oh, and Street Fighter 2.
For an early NES game, Pro Wrestling was pretty good. My friends and I had a ton of fun playing it back in the 80s. It doesn't hold up as well to many later wrestling games, but part of its charm is its jankiness! A winner is you!
God, the memories of this game! I used to play this with my older cousin whenever we had a chance. I specifically remember getting a laugh out of Star Man because one of his turnbuckle dives looked like he was praying, so we would always shout out "I PRAY!"
The Amazon keeps chalking em’ up in the win column! You gotta believe that the VWA Board Of Directors and Championship Committee are looking closely at this phenomenal athlete and accomplished competitor!…what an action packed VWA superstar he’s turned out to be!
Loved this game. Starman was my guy. I used to call flying shoulder the flying jalapeño. I remember Bobby Heenan calling Tito Santana's flying forearm that. Good times
I used to play the heck out of this game a lot. I like using Starman and The Amazon the most. I had played with every character. Either I would drop kick to weaken the opponent or run to the ropes and drop kick. The Great Puma!!!
I still remember that music when I played this game at my aunt's house, all those years ago. Was fun trying to figure out what the heck to do and discover different moves as a kid.
So many great memories of this game! It was the first game I was gifted after I got my NES (aside from the pack-in SMB and Zelda, which came from Santa 😊)! What a great Christmas!!!
I didn't know what wrestling game this was by name but once I heard that theme music, I was instantly transported back to my youth when we played this game non stop, 24/7!
Pro Wrestling was the best wresting game on the NES. It might not have Tecmo Wrestling's realistic television feel but it had the best gameplay and characters. A Winner Is You if you got to play this in the 1980s. A shame there was no sequel to this outstanding game.
I had this amazing classic as a kid!! even my mother loved this one, i can totally say it's the best NES wrestling game, no discussion here. Even today the Fire Pro Wrestling games have cameos from this, as the creator of both games it's the same guy.
Takes me back to some fond memories of me and my father playing this. I think I was 7 or 8 at the time. He loved the move where the guy would chomp on the opponents head lol.

It’s a play through of Nintendo’s 1987 video game Pro Wrestling, and it’s coming up right now!”-Jay Hunter.
An early black-box classic. Abobo’s Big Adventure did a great rendition of Pro Wrestling with the likes of the Ultimate Warrior, Rowdy Roddy Piper, The Undertaker, and Hulk Hogan lending their power to Abobo in applying the ultimate finisher to the Amazon (while also blasting the referee and cameraman to pieces). Great stuff!
Wow!!! 40 years later and it seems like yesterday I was playing this. We would call these characters wwf wrestler names. I loved jumping off the top ropes😂😂😂😂
Born in 87 but played in early 90’s. First guy reminds me of Norm star reminded of sting. Giant panther was Ric Flair. The Amazon was the swamp thing King Slender is mix of Luger/ warrior
You how many DAYS AND NIGHTS I stayed up playing this!!!!!! Love this game
Same here. My mom made as hell qhen she walked in and I was playing this game. This was a nice break from punch out.
True!😂💪🏿

Born in 77' I would always get my big brother with the Amazon's piranha chomp!!!!😂

78 also.

I was the little brother!😅
Born in 76 and this game was a big part of my childhood
A WINNER IS YOU!
An absolute classic this game is the reason why i got an NES
I can't believe you defeated the great star man by count out. He deserves more respect than that🤣
Regarding your description, I clearly remember believing Blanka was a giant rip off of Amazon and was the kind of kid, believe it or not, that would be angered by such a thing.
OSW Review brought me here.

40年たっても物凄く頭の中に残ってる曲ですねw
Hell yeah! Still one of the greatest pro wrestling games ever made!

I absolutely lived for this. Totally opened up a portal.
I loved this game when I was a Kid. Much respect for posting this. Classic.
So many hours playing this game! Love it! Thanks for posting!
Starman was my boy, that flip kick of his was stupid OP
Let the children boogie!
Same here. I remember to always come from the up side of the screen and do somersault 😂
A winner is you for watching this playthrough.
Gotta love that 8-bit music.
There’s nothing like it.
Loved this game. Starman was my guy. I used to call flying shoulder the flying jalapeño. I remember Bobby Heenan calling Tito Santana's flying forearm that. Good times

This is surprisingly well done for a wrestling game on the NES.
Mannnn this bring back some good memories from my childhood a many of nights staying up playing this game

Oh man. I remember missing the entire movie of Babe at the drive in just to play this in the snack bar on the Play Choice 10. Good times.
That's GOATED
@@familydog yeah, that is pretty cool. I can almost see it now.
I didnt even know this was in arcade form lol
I played this all day everyday as a kid. I loved this game!
Wow nostalgia. Played this for hours with my buddies back in the 80’s. Games were so simple yet so much fun.
Thank you for the nostalgia. Star man would make me so mad trying to beat him with the kick flip.
I had this amazing classic as a kid!! even my mother loved this one, i can totally say it's the best NES wrestling game, no discussion here. Even today the Fire Pro Wrestling games have cameos from this, as the creator of both games it's the same guy.
I played this game so much as a kid. So many great games from back then.
Takes me back to some fond memories of me and my father playing this. I think I was 7 or 8 at the time.
He loved the move where the guy would chomp on the opponents head lol.
Memories! The Amazon and Star man were my two go to characters.
Yes I’m this old!! My brother used to get so mad at that spinning back kick😂
Born in 74,this took me rite to my buddy Alfredo house playing this game
me and my little brother loved playing this! he found it very funny when the amazon guy ate the opponent 😂
Classic game! Amazon was my favorite wrestler too ❤
That brain buster is deadly!
Loved this game. Played all the time as a kid.
I remember cheesing this with Kin Corn Karn's jump kick. It was the only way I could beat it. Good Job my Friend.
Great comic heel character
His job was to get the faces over and he did his job well!
"A winner doth beest thou!" - This game in its original Shakespearian English.
Pure 80’s Goodness!
LOVED this game.
I adore this game. Rented it a few times back in the day.
Ah yes. The age old rivalry between some kind of fishman and some guy with a blue star on his face.

It was acceptable in the 80's 🎵
It was acceptable at the time

The back brain kick is the hardest hitting move in the game from what I remember
The back breaker was the move to cause the most damage
Wow!!! 40 years later and it seems like yesterday I was playing this. We would call these characters wwf wrestler names. I loved jumping off the top ropes😂😂😂😂
This gave me instant memories, great game
I remember renting this one at a local movie rental store. Also master blaster, bad dudes, contrast, jackal.
Born in 87 but played in early 90’s.
First guy reminds me of Norm
star reminded of sting.
Giant panther was Ric Flair.
The Amazon was the swamp thing
King Slender is mix of Luger/ warrior
That ref count is crazy 😂
This was it tho, damn the memories!
I’ve had that character intro music in my head for years but couldn’t remember what it was from. Thank you I can die in peace.
It's bizarre to me how clearly I remember this, since I haven't played it in 36 years
The worked nature of pro wrestling is so obvious, even in an 80's NES game
Well done!
Aye this was my game
Classic, loved and still love this game!!!!
Brings back memories
I had never seen that cat person at the end before. Thanks
very good pro wrestling 😀
this and tecmo bowl were the best👌👌👌
I know this game. I did it when I was 12 years old.
Yes, 1986. Legend of Zelda was released in this year.
存在すら忘れてた懐かしすぎる
I miss this game so much.
子供の頃やったなぁ~。
ハヤブサの必殺技「延髄切り」決めらんなくて悔しかった思い出が。
I was just starting to buy this the other day!!!
Damn this was one of my favorite games!!!
アマゾンでひたすら齧ってるのが好きだったな
Legend has it that the referee stays on his stomach until the next match starts.
You really have those roundhouse kicks down
I freaking loved this game

Incredible ring psychology
Loved this game back in the 80s!!! One of my 1st nintendo games. Ahhhh memories!!!
This game was so awesome at the time.
OMG what a classic damn I’m getting old lol 😂
This was a nice game
Great memories. I just went through a time warp.
Those were my stress years trying to get to the next level. Dam i miss the arcades
This game was lit back in the day. I played it so much you had to blow the cartridge to get it to work.
This game, excite bike and cobra triangle were heavy in my rotation
Still my favorite wrestling game of all time....
I did not know all these years you had to have 10 title defenses to complete the game, wonder if it is more difficult playing after that?
For whatever reason i loved playing starman.
