My world was rocked when I ordered and received the KZ X Angelears Libra, which cost me about $12. Everything about it redefined what I thought was possible from a DD in terms of detail, clarity and resolution. It’s very balanced and graphs very similarly to this Klean. It all makes me wonder about the viability of IEMs in the $100 to $200 range. And higher! It’s also making me reassess my hobby from a value and a sonic perspective. The Klean is now on my list.
I tried the Libra X and I will warn you that those sets sound great, just missing the fancy metal shells. But as far as just sound, you don't need much more than Libra.
@@PaulWasabii I think I agree with you. Agree with you about trying to not go after every single DD set that comes out these days. I'm happy with sets like the Delci, Nuo or even older ones like the T3+ or C3 (which graphs quite close to the Klean). I'd rather try out other hybrid or planar sets at this point

Thank you very much for sharing your experience. It is really difficult to perceive the value of a set. In a world of influence, the last outing is always better. And it's not always true. For my learning I want to stay focused on Single DD. After my various tests I really like my Epz Q1 pro + Mesh, Moondrop Lan, Letshuoer D13 + Mesh and strangely I like Epz Q1 even if is it dark. For 11.11 I want to complete with Sivga Que and maybe Kefine Klear. My problem is that I am not sure the signature that suits me the best, and for the moment I do not want EQ. I would like to create a set of 4 iem with interesting signatures. However, if I want to upgrade on a budget of $200, I am lost in the true value. For example, no one talks about Thieaudio Elixir anymore? Moondrop Kadenz seems interesting if it's the last of the K Series? Everyone says good things about Tanchjim Origin but I'm not sure I hear the difference. I wonder if it's really interesting to upgrade or not with sets like Moondrop Kadenz, Thieaudio Elixir, BQYEZ Autumn, Tigerism Octave, Penon Vortex or Tanchjim Origin? Always in the idea of having a set of 4 harmonious iem
As I said, my eye starts to twitch with 1DD over $100. Yes, Origin/Oxygen are there. Dunu Falcon Ultra. Dunu Kima 2 is a maybe. I like the Fiio FD15. A lot of the other sets had their advantage eaten up by lower cost sets. The warm sets like Que are fine, but the more expensive sets, you are looking for more technical bits, the ability to resolve smaller details or do better reverb. You are paying a lot to hear small improvements. On the other hand, some people are DD only, that is their preferred style so there is always a demand for pricier sets. I'd rather go hybrid or planar.
Hi Paul , I’m always think the delci sound dark, warm and not open enough, always feel like something is missing in the mid and upper region, the bass are not tight enough , that why i sell it after one month, based on your review i think should i give the Klean a try 🤔
Sir Paul, I'm Torn between this or the PRX. I've been looking for neutral with good technicalities iem under 100$. Both seem to fit my description, so it's hard to decide.
Hi Paul, I trust that you're well. Based on this review the Klean is preferable over the Delci. I was wondering if you would still rec the XSL X-One MK4 over the Klean. I have a very wide listening preference.
If I had one, I wouldn't buy the other. 1DD in similar price points are similar, just tuning tweaks. Until you are looking for different, very bassy or neutral bright.
Hey, would you say this is tuned anywhere close to something like the Nuo? I have the Nuo and was looking for a slight upgrade for that type of tuning. I have the Delci as well, and I actually do like it, but find that it colors vocals just a bit too warm for my taste. I listen to primarily male vocals, and like them sounding clear and natural, but I do like them sounding tonally correct at the same time. The Delci is still a great set and exceeded my expectations, but I'm hoping Kefine took care of that added coloration with the Klean.
In my opinion and similar to yours on Delci, I wasn't a huge fan of that coloration. Why I liked Delci AE and Klean, better balance. It is difficult though, I think Klean plus trying a couple sets of tips might get you in the right spot. If you know what you like, sometimes its easier to start using EQ.
I’m a long time viewer of yours and still don’t know yet what are your favorite iems for corresponding price ranges and what is your target sound preference for an iem to be considered decent and good for you sir.
That is somewhat intentional. Too many reviewers say a set sucks because it is too bright or too much midbass because that is not what they prefer. I don't necessarily have a target preference although the start of it is on my squig. Cadenza4 is pretty close though. Decent is usually relative to the price.
Que is bigger but not sure Klean is really any more comfortable or smaller than Delci. Fit is crazy though, sometimes it is a corner, sometimes with of the nozzle or length. And that is something where you will ask 5 people and 4 will say comfortable, one will have different ears

Rhapsody/Castor will help you figure out if you like that style of bass shelf. The non answer is intentional, all those sets address different preferences and ratios of subbass/midbass.
