Now it's time to guide these new bees back to the home hive. As an amateur beekeeper, this a great way to get free bees! It did require some light construction of a reorientation barrier (more on that in the video), which the inventor of the Inceptor Pro kindly explained to me.

The rule of thumb I was taught was the super should be 80% used up before adding another super. If you give them too much room, they can’t defend it. That’s how you end up with more pests. I’ve lost a hive or two to wax moths because of this reason.
