- With all the animals at Grass Roots Garden Center, I'm not so sure we aren't building a zoo! But they sure do make things around here a lot more fun. Join me for a casual summer Saturday here at my plant nursery, where we feed the birds, clean cages, feed koi fish, check out the aquascape, and see some beautiful new fountains... Let's see what all we can get into. Thanks for coming along with me!

The more you Know the more you Grow.
I am still learning, so for me it is "the more I grow, the more I know"
What gorgeous birds and you are such a wonderful owner to them. Truly a paradise there.
You are so kind
Love the birds, love the plants, love everything about your garden center. I can't even tell you how much I miss my pond my husband made for me over 30 years ago for Mother's day. He passed away in 2021 due to Covid, we were blessed with 39 wonderful years together .. last fall I had to close my pond. I'm disabled and wasn't able to take care of it. It broke my heart. Thanks for sharing. Hope your not as stressed ....
so sorry, appreciate your support
it's very petty thank you
I'm glad you like it
As always absolutely beautiful love the birds and fish

I know a guy that had a cool little remote control excavator which would have been a nice addition to the little sand pit for kids to play with. Unfortunately it met it's untimely death when it slipped into a the jaws of a roto chopper. 😪
Lol
We have a corpse plant here in chicago at our garfield conservatory. How cool that you have one!
👍👍
Ryan I keep the food in the white plastic container by the pumps.
You hid it from me!!! Lol
@@grassrootsgardening ... you know you have dedicated people that love their job when they watch your videos of the place they work at while being on vacation
I was wondering if fixing Larry's swing with some hardwood plates or even some thicker log slices wouldn't be better than using metal. I know, metal will last forever, but it is my understanding that parrot's beaks grow continuously and they need to chew on things to sharpen the beak and wear it down too. Obviously this swing seems to be one of his favorite chewing toys, and a metal plate will prevent him from maintaining his beak property, but a round plate of hardwood or larger round log slices might do the job and be healthier than plastic too. Sure, you will still need to fix it now and then.
The water features and the landscaping are absolutely breath taken, of course love the birds...is the gray one an African Congo Parrot?
thanks! african grey
I love birds, but they’re all messy from little lovebirds right up to the parents. I had cockatiels they were pretty cool.
soooo messy
Is larry a catalina macaw? He is so gorgeous scarlet is too❤

The smell that flower makes is an understatement. Do you have any Staghorn ferns in your green house?
