Very true! I got in the habit of using notebooks to keep my thoughts and ideas down, and now I don’t forget anything. I keep them all organized in a huge stack which helps keeps everything centralized. I think note taking is underrated nowadays with all that we have to think about.
guy Davis Yeah, you should try practicing it, sometimes writing things down is incredibly helpful. It allows you to never forget a thought or an idea, and then come back to them to develop them further. I had to start writing things down because I would have great ideas and then I would forget them. Now I can always come back to them and keep pushing them along versus just let them go. Remember, thinking and thought idea creation is actually a major source of the bodies energy, so don’t let good ideas go to waste. Try getting yourself a notebook and a good pen like I did and get yourself a good thought/idea journal going. You won’t regret it.

Sweet little minimalist everyday setup. The new office looks great. That nice little "tap tap" audio when you were tapping on the ND filter... Uh absolute buttery smooth. Always love when people pay attention to quality sound.
Very nice set up and lighting already. That's what stood out the most to me. With some depth and not much distraction in the background. You could always go back to this basic set up if things don't work as you wished.

Genuinely, I know it's weird for most people to say this, but I'm glad you keep outgrowing your current space, even if it means constantly having to "try and figure it out" all over again. That creativity that happens in a "room" setting is literally part of who you are as a person. Every video and surrounding is a reflection of you. Not even to feed your ego. I wish I was talking to the whole audience. But growing and expanding is just part of the process. DO with that you have, and grow.
Peter I gotta tell you something. I'm a total beginner in video shooting and stuff. Recently I decided to create little travel vlog and maybe some other projects from time to time. Although I always felt somewhat both inspired and discouraged by people who does something better than I do. It required of me to invest so much energy to convince myself to start actually doing something. However, whenever I watch your videos, the only thing I feel is inspiration - I really THANK You for what you do and what energy you give me. Hopefully, someday I can get at least a little like you!

I started watching your vids less than a month ago as i've just started doing photography for travel and found a real passion for it. Your vids from 4 years ago to now are super inspirational and its amazing to see how far you've come in such a relatively short time! You've cut down on my learning curve by such a huge amount, keep it up!
I'm a big fan of minimal set ups. The creative mindset of doing a lot with less is something I try to apply to my life in any way I can. I enjoy the challenge of it.

Same! I went on vacation with my gf and all I brought was my backup canon rebel body with a 24-70 and a 50 1.8. I'm notorious for bringing too many things on our trips and it felt so freeing to only have to worry about 2 lenses and also not have my full frame camera with me

Bringing extra batteries, especially with a mirrorless camera is a must. I run with 2 extra batteries for my EOS R as well, and I've gone to the step of both labeling them, but also numbering them. As I run the batteries sequentially, I know that if I'm running a lot with no chance of recharging, I know which battery I should be reaching for a charged one based upon the one that's in my camera. I also pack a 20,000mAh USB-PD battery bank as well; great for charging my EOS R if there's downtime, AND charging my phone if I have no access to a wall charger.

Suggestion from a fellow creative! You're always on the spot with the best bang for the buck ideas and useful tips. Here is mine. Upgrade headphones! Even if staying with a small wireless set. Yes those air pods "Get the Job Done" but personally as a man of detail, treat your ears as well as you treat your camera! I ended up going to a noise cancelling around ear set, and the comfort and isolation from busy situations really made a difference. If it's too big, there are still noise isolating sets with SERIOUS sound that are earbud sized. I used to rock whatever I could find to save money, but once stepping up, I enjoyed myself much more while working on projects. Its a small difference that made a big difference! You're a man of quality, and the Pods are well... not. (from an unbiased audiophile perspective). Might be the final puzzle piece! Wish you the best man! Killer content as always.

Dude I feel your pain on the headphones 😩 Not a waste of time at all. That particular model is worth its weight in gold. When I bought my XM3’s (Oct. 2018) they had just come out and they usually put out a new model every two years. You can probably expect the XM4’s to rule and dominate once again this fall. I actually downsized my camera bag a few weeks ago as well. Picked it up afterwards, and really liked how much lighter it was. Easier on the back.

I was making a video and I was filming myself bringing cardboard to the local dump, and I was about to go into my talking but some guy just walked up and watched me for a minute and was like..what are you recording? You're just recording cardboard? Recording yourself throwing away cardboard? It started to make me mad to be honest. But there was a condensending tone to it. Hahah

The new studio is awesome! I like the colors and the big spot on the wall behind you. I wonder if an eyelight next to the Camera (maybe the aputure mc?!) would help for you looking down, or if it flattens you out to much. Always fun watching your videos!
