Only part of a lens you need to worry over is the rear element. You can really scratch up a front element with next to no effects on IQ.

Ok, a few months later but just saw this vlog today. Just in case you forgot to mention these 2 little things or maybe you didn’t think of it, a small allen key set and a rain poncho. These things I carry in my bag. The tripod was loosened and had to tighten some allen bolts. Enjoying your videos, keepum commin’!

Hey Peter! Great update. I just added my first Canon to the arsenal (EOS R), and I'm curious how you deal with the lack of IBIS on that and the 1DXII when shooting video using unstabilized lenses. I really want a 16-35 2.8 or the 28-70 2.0, but I'm worried about the lack of stabilization. Gimbals and handheld techniques such as using the neck strap are great, but what about for just general vlogging? Any insight is appreciated.

Your camera bag is extraordinary. Its freaking awesome.
You might consider adding the canon M6 with the Viltrox focal reducer to your bag. It’s tiny but with the focal reducer it’s basically the worlds smallest full frame, and it has time laps built in, so you could set it up to shoot while you’re still using the 1Dxii for shooting other stuff. Might be a heck of a time saver for a tiny bit of bag space.

Hi Peter, loving the videos. I’m rocking a 7D Mk I, but it’s not always the most versatile for both photo and video - but not bad either. The 1D looks amazing, but I think the 5D might be a bit more attainable for me. I’m looking at the 5D Mk II, but wondered if you might have a better recommendation for something that could serve double-duty. Any help is appreciated. :)
