Ok, a few months later but just saw this vlog today. Just in case you forgot to mention these 2 little things or maybe you didn’t think of it, a small allen key set and a rain poncho. These things I carry in my bag. The tripod was loosened and had to tighten some allen bolts. Enjoying your videos, keepum commin’!
Last year I watched your video about "what's inside my bag version 2018" and it has inspired me so much to pursue my dream in photography and film. Right then and there I went out and bought my first camera and started shooting random things. Now I have my own studio team and we cover weddings, birthdays, corporate events, etc. and make a lot of money. And for that I thank you for inspiring me to do the things I love. I hope I could meet you someday Peter. Thanks!
Hey Peter, can you please make a video about how to shoot cinematic videos on a budget (cheaper camera etc) would be really interesting to see what is possible with gear that is more affordable👍👍👍
Pete when you said about Canon color reproduction I must agree!, there was a time that I was shooting with Full frame D800 and It was really great camera.. but than I tried Canon (again) and I loved it.. i dont bother sensor dark noise, or resolution or even not so dynamic range as much as I care about color reproduction and Canon is just out of this world. Canon NEVER let me down in color reproduction. And those Canon Lenses... ! ahh! even the very old ones are so good!
Just a hot tip, hopefully, you see this, you can use those little Anker power banks to charge the Eos R as well just plug it in with the USB c charger. It actually works without the third party adapter thing.
How do you stick a GoPro to the side of a car without it falling off? So far I haven't been very succesful. 2.5 years with one go to lens every day? That's actually impressive, it still looks good too despite being broken. Careful vlogger! No one who has that 28-70 2.0 will have a 35 or 50 that's slower than f1.8 really :D. I did the maths because why wouldn't I. 18999usd. Bag included, you're carrying around more money than my mortgage.
That is what I would put money on. ..question will be is he going to develop something with Lowepro seeing he loves the Protactic or will it be with a small company in Toronto....say a company that makes a bushcraft pack with another TH-cam producer!! Regardless what he does I will buy one just because he designed it.
I've accidentally turned my mavic pro on a bunch of times when it was still new, but from what i can gather it doesnt actually actually damage anything unless you still have that little piece of plastic that says 'remove before flight' still attached to your gimbal
If you turn on the drone with the gimbal protector it'll give an gimbal overload error. It's not good for the gimbal, motor will try to rotate and fail. Don't do that.
Actually I don't think he turned it on, because it had no startup sound and the light went out quickly after it looked like just the quick button tap battery level check.
NO WAY I WAS LITERALLY FLIPPING A BALISONG WHILE WATCHING THIS VIDEO. You're pretty good for just getting one. Ive been flipping for a little over a year.
Just so you know, that thing isn't an inverter. (Inverters are used to convert DC current to AC.) It's just an adapter. And it just adapts the physical pin format, so you can get a jack with one shape connected to a socket for a different jack. What you plug in is often just a power supply, and many are now "globalised" and can accept 110V/60Hz or 230V/50Hz, but you should always check before plugging in. If you plug in something designed for 110V into 230V (which the adapter makes easy) you may get "interesting" results.
You might consider adding the canon M6 with the Viltrox focal reducer to your bag. It’s tiny but with the focal reducer it’s basically the worlds smallest full frame, and it has time laps built in, so you could set it up to shoot while you’re still using the 1Dxii for shooting other stuff. Might be a heck of a time saver for a tiny bit of bag space.
Great video again! Love how you keep things very clear and pro. You really think about what and how you use things in your bag. But the same thing apply to your video. Great job again. Very inspiring. So thank you.
Little bit of an issue with Peter's link for his tripod... the tripod in his video is the 3 Legged Thing Punks Corey, their smallest travel tripod in aluminum and composites and comes with a ball head for $199. The link above for the tripod takes you to a different (same size but better build materials, carbon fiber and therefore more expensive tripod than Peter shows) the 3 Legged Thing Eclipse Leo with Ballhead for $349. The Leo is essentially the same size as the Corey but lighter due to carbon fiber and holds more weight so choose what works for you if you like the tripods.
Looking back at this now ... ho would have thought that at 1:36 Peter was actually talking about his very own Nomatic backpack! Amazing and no one notice!!
You know that tv channel that has awesome new content but great reruns and rewatches that your TV is always tuned to? My TV is TH-cam and your channel is what I’m always tuned in to.
I didn't expect you to use the arca swiss plate especially when you have a couple of manfrotto tripods and monopods. I've swapped all my gear to the manfrotto rc2 mounts with the peak design dual plate. So much faster to mount and unmount. Lock on contact, no twisting thumb screws, one swipe to quick release. Works on gimbals so you never have to re-calibrate and the peak design bag clip for quick access. You're always on about efficiency and I think those plates are way more efficient than the arca swiss. Check it out😉
Yeah, how heavy it is? On most planes they allowed you 7kg on carry on... mine is 14kg 😯 and with air asia they weight your bag but could almost always avoid it except one or 2 times and had "to cry" to take it with me...
SURFVIDEOFACTORY Yes I’ve had same issue in Asia so far. The only way around it is to bring another small camera bag (as you’re allowed one carry on PLUS one person item and they usually only weigh the big camera bag) and stuff as much in that as possible. Also wear a jacket or photography style vest and stuff that as much as possible with lenses and they will even allow you to wear your camera around your neck. Once past security I actually just repack the stuff in my big camera bag as they don’t weigh it beyond that. That drastically reduces weight and it’s how I’ve survived the past two months getting on many planes. Not the most convenient, but it works to cut weight to 7-10 kilos.
Great video as always thanks for the info. I clicked on the link to the 3 legged thing tripod and it doesn’t come with a ball head. Any chance you know what’s the model of that one got or where to find that ball head for it? Thanks 🙏🏼
