Rwanda: How safe is the UK's planned destination for asylum seekers?

  • The UK Supreme Court ruling against the government's deportation deal was judged solely on whether Rwanda is a safe place to send asylum-seekers. The Rwandan government tells Sky News it has worked hard to make sure the country is functional and wants to give people a home.
'Come as a guest, leave as a friend' is the sign that greets visitors as they drive into the grounds of Hope Hostel.
No one has come to stay as a guest since late May 2022 when the UK government first booked out the 50-room building in anticipation of the approval of its plan to deport unwanted asylum seekers here.

The Native Americans people groups are gone. I live in an area named after Native Americans yet there are no more descendants of that tribe. Human beings are destructive with their hate. That hate gets elevated with religion. Don’t get me started on the history of slavery which dehumanized and murdered countless Africans. The Rwandan ambassador has stated up to 5000 migrants can be sent there. Meanwhile, British industry is trying to fill 957,000 vacancies (office for national statistics, oct 23). The governement don't know how many people are in the UK illegally - they haven't estimated it since 2005 when they thought it was 400,000. They really have no idea what they're doing or even what they're trying to do. There's no actual point : it's just theatre to please conservative trolls without considering the country's needs.

😂 Don't worry. Many thinks it's a disavow of Rwanda but I see this political theatre as a joke on the UK. Maybe also a potential security threat to UK cohesion ( look at Sweden) despite its good history of assimilation and integration, times have drastically changed but the UK may haven't realized yet. Just look at even many on the left who were shocked at the huge protests ( about the Hamas war) in the streets of the UK.
Many hotspots of insecurity opening up in Horn of Africa and West Af. The traditional demographic sources of UK migration....
The UK will have to double down on efforts to assimilate if it wants productive, crime- free , gang free inner cities ( again look at Sweden). And to absord the migrants effectively in the job market.
This is a medium and long-term opportunities vs threats for the UK.
But for Rwanda, short-term, the political theatre may not hurt it . The fact that it's even discussed as a destination may be something positive.
But africans who dream about emigrating to the West for economic reasons are alienated ( as evidenced in the video).

Rwanda has had its wars in the passed but its clearly a country that has learnt from it and our moving in a positive direction. The hostels looks clean and nice (especially for someone that has nothing and are asking for help), rwanda needs workers so its a win win to me. The asylum seekers should not be complaining, its an opportunity for a fresh start.

They can send African or other black community asylum seekers to Rwanda, so when they are there they will find it easy to get along with people, get work permit and live. other white asylum seekers they can send them to Mauritius, as Mauritius is half French land, they can get job-work permit and live there. UK government should help these asylum seekers get work permit/job (CSR /TSR jobs) too to the country they are sending, they can get a contract singed with some company to give them jobs for 5 years after that they can figure out where to move or stay there if they like it there. A few days of hotel stay will not help them, instead give them jobs(5 year contract/work permit) so they can migrate to other countries.
