You can but you would be better off buying a new motor off eBay anywhere from $250 to $400 if you want to go with the yx140 which I’ve herd is a great motor
I just put the same style ones on my other ssr and they are worth it but you have to use a grinder to grind down the front brake. If you are out trail riding far distances from where you start then it’s worth it plus you can always bring your old ones as spares.
I just bought one of these brand new for my son for his birthday coming up it is so awkward to ride I don't know how you do it but I already have the upgraded carburetor the upgraded cane I need to put on it and hopefully that will keep it a little more power to first gear is so short on it also but it will be good for him for a starter bike but I thought I washed a video of yours where you put a different rear axle in it if it was yours you remember what the axle was for I thought it was a Honda 80 and also I am confused on what clutch and brake levers to get that will put it properly all the ones I click on your channel for links are not there anymore in stock or the seller is just not selling them anymore but I know they are so out there also do you know of anything else I could possibly do to it to make it a little happier also have you tried putting an oil cooler on it like the 140s have because I would love to put an oil cooler on it also what do you normally run your tire pressures at mine feel awful hard figured I would ask you you have good videos and a lot of experience with these so far I hope you get this thank you
I love riding the ssrs more than my big bikes and I’m 6.2 these things hold up the abuse if you just take care of them and lock tight all the bolts. As far as the rear axle that’s not us we haven’t had a problem with ours yet but I hope you enjoy it they are a blast to cruise around on
Just put it in the link for you remember you may need to sand down the front brake on yours. Alissa has dropped the bike several times so it was already slightly bent on ours which caused it to crack other than that they are a great cheap choice!
@throttle family Hey guys, thank you for the videos! I just picked up a 2020 ssr 110 semi for my daughter and it's awesome! I'm looking to get a set of plastics/graphics to throw on their but the new body styling is throwing me off. Its the exact same as the red bike you have in the vids. Any recommendations for what and where to order? Seems like these are super close to a crf 50 or possibly the 110? Also, think it's worth upgrading the carb/cdi? Thanks for the help guys hope all is well.
I am going to have to do some more research I had the same problem which is why I switched to the crf50 plastics and had my own graphics made up. I was actually just talking about switching back over to the original red plastics. I do like the style of the red plastics it is definitely more modern compare to the older crf 50 plastics.
Ah I kinda figured you swapped plastics due to the different front number plate mostly. I just sent pics of the new style plastics off to Senge graphics, I will let you know what they come up with. They have some nice kits! Thanks for the reply! I happen to live in the foothills above sacramento also. Cool to see someone local rippin an SSR too!
@@throttlefamily4655 I requested some info on the new style plastics from the manufacturer and they sent me these templates they use for graphics. I sent them off to Senge so I'm hoping my new graphics fit perfectly when they're done. Here is a link to the templates. Hope this helps! www.dropbox.com/s/heftpxnxq5mmkey/DIRT%20BIKE%20-%20BASE%20MODEL%20-%20NEW%20PLASTIC%20-%2070CC-110CC-125CC.pdf?dl=0
We used valvoline 10-40 oil and for break in start ups don’t ride the bike when you get it just start them and let them idle for ten mins and do the cycle 3 times to let everything seat in the motor also do not use full synthetic I wanted to but it will mess with the shifting and cause the motor to smoke from what I read on all the forums. Very much so worth the hassle of getting the bike brand new so you can ensure all the maintenance was done correctly and will last you a long time.
You gotta keep them 10mm wrenches and sockets locked in a vault
Haha you know it!
I fr got a box just with 10mm in it😂😂😂
Facts lol
I love how authentic these videos are, you guys are so pure and awesome!
Thank you for the help I didn't know how to get more slack to put the cable throught the lever.
Your welcome!
Can I add a clutch to my ssr 125 pit bike it has none at all

Hey brother ! What oil did you replace yours with? Did you go with the standard 10w-40 4 stroke oil or different oil for warmer weather ?
Standard 10w-40 all the way all the time
Would those fit on a 125cc coolster pit bike?
Yes they will any 7/8 size bars
Lol just got my brake lever same broken problem knew there was a way man👍✅
Tried stretching it lol
Is it worth $30 now? And does the brake fit or no? If not is it worth to pay just for the clutch?

Also did you break the bike in ? I’m wondering if it’s worth the hassle
