Guys, stop saying "she should have", "why didn't she", when you've never been in this kind of situation. She was 14, deep in the woods, up against two adults. She has gone through much more than any of us will ever go through, and deserves our respect, not criticism.
I agree, unless any of us where put in the EXACT same situation, highly unlikely, we can't say what she should've done, we weren't there, we dont have the right to say those things

Exzacly. Elizabeth was constantly threatened. Just because Amanda Berry escaped from Castros house in cleaveland Ohio. Don't mean that Elizabeth should of. She was 14 she was a baby for crying out loud.

Pretty sure she was scared to escape. If he came into her home in the middle of the night and took her what made her think he wouldn’t do it again if she did finally get away. Those people are sick im glad she made it out safe and can live a better life .
Your right, even worse he could've come back and kill Elizabeth's entire family and force Elizabeth to watch.
She could've just as easily been too scared to stay, and instinctively cried out for help one of the numerous times they were in public.
She would have if the wife hadn’t clamped down on her leg when the officer was there asking if she was Elizabeth.

right or something..i mean 9 months is a long time to think about escape plans. she could of encouraged them to get more high and drunk or spiked there drinks more till there more than incompasetated to escape. and also she could of thrown a rock somehere to make em think she ran a certain direction while hiding and as soon as they ran that direction just run and keep hiding opposite direction..which would work also if they where really high and drunk as well. im sure there where plenty of opportunities in 9 months. apparently Elizabeth was not all that smart
