      8” share, 6” toms (only about 4.5” playable area), no kick tower, crappy module… and all for $800.

      @Jimmy I owned a Strike Pro for about a year and a half. I also owned a DM10 Mk2 Pro - which I actually still use the parts from in my acoustic conversion kit.
      Literally for the past 3 years I have been using all the cymbals, the module, and the internal triggers from the dm10 kit in my acoustic conversion with NOT ONE single issue the whole time. My snare is actually an original strike pro snare as well.
      Beyond that, I also use Roland 22” kick drum converter and a VH11 hihat, and also have 2 additional Roland cymbals.
      At my office I have a TD17 KVX, and have had that for a couple years now.
      So yes, I own a mix of alesis and Roland equipment - and never had a single issue with either in daily playing both brands.
      I have NEVER had a quality issue with Alesis - not once. Not with the Strike Pro, not with the DM10, and not with the other alesis stuff I own - like the Q88 keyboard.

      How's it been?

    • @TonyDiaz.
      @TonyDiaz. 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Chr1sT0fu I love it!... bluetooth is awesome, the sounds are super natural. You can adjust a lot of parameters for each pad.
      I've been playing with my headphones and it sounds pretty sweet but I also hooked it up to a one of those cheap Chinese karaoke speakers and it sounds fairly decent.
      In the future I'm going to add an extra cymbal and probably replace the CY-5 crash and ride for 8s. But out-of-the-box is perfect.
      You do need to supply your own bass pedal, drum sticks and throne, though.
      100% recommended.

      @Chr1sT0fu 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TonyDiaz. Thanks for the response! yeah i've heard just awesome things about roland in general, but i'm still kind of considering Alesis and wondering if the sound quality is really that much worse tha Roland's.

    • @TonyDiaz.
      @TonyDiaz. 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Chr1sT0fu I was originally going for Alesis but I ended up falling in love with the Roland kit; what I can tell you, based on all my research, is that Alesis has more functions in their modules (the Nitro and the Surge share the same module). You have more options.
      If you want to go with Alesis, the best bang for your buck is the Surge Mesh kit. It has a 10 inch snare, the toms are dual-zone, an 8 inch kick pad and it's a bit taller than its cheaper sibling, the Nitro, which has an 8 inch snare and single-zone toms and a really small kick pad, I believe it's a 4 inch sensor area.
      If you want to shed a few more bucks, the Command Mesh is also a nice option; it's basically the same as the Surge Mesh but it has the Command module which has a lot more sounds built in and gives you the ability to load your own sounds via a USB stick and also has the Alesis Branded Mesh (more for the looks that functionality).

Apart from the 2" bigger cymbals (which is not a big deal for me) the kick drum material/feel/noise would be relevant to the decision between the TD-07DMK and the Roland TD07KV … Honestly, can't find any info comparing the 2 kick pads.

The kd-10 is by far a huge upgrade and I would think probably a deal breaker if you played them side by side. Torn between upgrading or potentially upgrading the kick at some point which would be cheaper after tax. and recorded the two channels through a RME audio interface into Macbook Pro running Logic Pro X.

    Budding drummer here; wanting to know some things about this kit
    1. Does the kit sound good without any drum plugins/VSTs or drum softwares? I ask because ive seen videos about the millenium MPS 850 which I’ve considered buying over this but they said it doesnt sound up to superior quality without a VST/Plugin so id like to know if this kit soumds up to standard without the need for plugins
    2. I got a chance to play this on a version of this kit at PMT (which is my countrys local music store) but that had a bass drum tower instead of that little brick drum head thing that comes on the regular version of the kit so i wanted to ask could you use a double bass pedal with that drum head? (double pedal not brand specific, as long as i can afford it lol)
    3. Im not sure if this is possible but if you choose a preset kit sound could you change the sound of certain pads (like toms/hi hat etc) to mix and match with the selected preset?

    Which one would be the best for church service the Roland td-7dmk or Yamaha DTX6k?

    • @drumtecTV
      @drumtecTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Sunny, I'd probably pick the TD-07DMK, because the mesh pads are more silent than the DTX6k rubber tom pads. Also the triggering/playability of the TD-07 module is more sensitive in my opinion. You can find more info on both kits over here:
