    • @drumtecTV
      @drumtecTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Martin, unfortunately the KD-180L bass drum will be even louder than the KD-10 of the TD-17KVX kit. The most silent option would be replacing the bass drum with a 100% Roland compatible drum-tec diabolo bass drum, which also offers the most realistic/authentic playing feel/rebound available:

    • @drumtecTV

      Thank you very much! The Roland VAD bass drums are actually rather loud, because they have the same hard striking area as a Roland KD-10/KD-9, which actually gets even louder being mounted inside the shell. Probably this will be too loud for many appartments practice situations, I've recently done a demo comparing noise levels to the drum-tec Real Feel bass drums here:

      Hi, there are many great electronic drums options these days :) the more you "climb up the ladder", the closer feel/playability & sounds get to a real acoustic kit (without being loud & having lots of flexibility with the sounds).
      You might check out the drum-tec Silent Studio Sessions as a current state-of-the-art example of what's possible with electronic drums if you like:

    dude I'm actually so glad I found your channel and this review. You are truly a disgusting player and a lot of times when I come online to watch a demo, it's some crusty guy who is just playing blues rock shit whether it's a guitar review or drums or whatever, but it's nice seeing somebody with some chops play so I can actually get a feel for the full potential here lol. Pads seem to respond super well to your quick ghost notes so that's nice

      @drumtecTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, you can find more info on the TD-07 sound module over here:
      www.drum-tec.com/roland-td-07-sound-module
      You can apply rim shot & cross stick articulation on the snare, as with any other Roland sound module. Don't know who's spreading such info on amazon, but he obviously didn't know how to activate the cross stick in the TD-07 trigger menu (reading the manual actually helps) ;-D

    • @drumtecTV
      @drumtecTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Roland VH-10 is a continuous controller, while the Yamaha RHH135 is a stepped one. So generally speaking, hihat triggering & opening/closing will probably feel more "fluid" on Roland. Kind regards!

    Vad103, Vad306, or Vad307 which one would y’all prefer?

    • @drumtecTV
      @drumtecTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends which module you need / prefer in the first place. VAD103 only has the TD-07, while VAD306 / 307 have the TD-17.
      The 307 has a new TD-17 V2 firmware with some new sounds & features, and also the new thin cymbal pads CY-14R-T and CY-12C-T, which makes the kit superior to the VAD306 in my opinion. It's a budget question in the end really :)

    • @drumtecTV

    Pretty pointless Kit. The VAD306 costs 250 bucks more (Europe) but has one more Tom and one more Crash Cymbal. It also has the better Modul (TD-17).
    Couldnt Roland have at least give it a 16" Ride instead of the 13"? Why does Roland sell those anyway?
