    Just bought this kit as my first kit and I must say I’m impressed! I’m diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome, or basically just High-Functioning Autism, so I like to fidget. For a couple months I’ve been taking quite the interest in drums and I wanted to be able to play at home instead of just on my schools set, so I got this! What I love is that it isn’t just limited to acoustic drum sounds, you can get synth drums on it, and me being the synth nerd I am love this feature! It’s so nice being able to program my ideal kits onto it since they give you well… 50 kit slots to customize! So far I’ve programmed 6 kits of my own onto it and absolutely love making new kits. For a person who loves to fidget, just wants something to groove on and hit real hard without disturbing anyone, this is amazing! ❤️❤️❤️

    I bought this kit from you guys a while back; absolutely love it. I'm just having trouble making the module play nicely with EZ Drummer... there's no option for this specific module in the midi settings, and it seems like the velocities are all off. Any tips?

  • @sabadrum
    @sabadrum ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The module has ride cymbal bell sounds included, yes? Meaning we can assign a bell sounds to the edge of the ride cymbal on a custom kit? Is there a full list of all the sounds included within the TD07 module?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello, sabadrum! The TD07 does indeed have ride cymbal bell sounds and you can reassign those sounds to any trigger zone on the kit itself. This setup process is covered on page 13 of the manual:
      www.roland.com/global/support/by_product/td-07kv/owners_manuals/0d0db506-4735-48f4-85c8-7adb3484e195/
      There is not a published list of all the sounds, but you can get a pretty good sample of all the kits here:

    Hi, for this TD-07DMK model, the bass kick pad is mounted on the vertical frame itself. Do you find that it causes the overall setup to vibrates and shakes more when stepping on the bass kick pedal?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, RC! Being attached to the rack itself, the kick pad does somewhat cause the rack to vibrate when struck. The kick pedal is also secured to the rack, which helps to absorb that shock and anchor the rack even further.

    I like that it’s compact, but I’m 6’ 1” and I’m worried the snare and floor tom will sit too low. Do you know if the snare can raise up to a reasonable height so it’s not sitting below my lap? Having it attach to the underside of the rack makes it look like it’s stuck pretty low. Thanks for the great demo!

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello, Christian! I’m 6’0” myself and have no issues getting the snare to a comfortable playing height on the TD07. The horizontal bar the snare mounts to can be attached to the vertical bar above the middle cross-member for some added height. From there, you’ll also have another 3” of range on the L-arm the snare attaches to. I’m confident you’ll be able to get it where you need it.

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, Aaron. Thanks for reaching out. The TD07 has a 1/8” output for both headphone and main out. You’d want to use a 1/8” TRS cable on that side. The other end would depend on your mixer. As far as the FD-1 goes, you can. But you can’t add it. You’d have to use the 1/4” “Hi Hat” end of the break out cable.

      Hello, Dolceyul! You’ll see these two kits are very similar in terms of their configuration - kick, snare, three toms, hi hat, crash and ride cymbal - but the Alesis has a standalone kick tower whereas the Roland’s kick drum is integrated with the rack. Also, the Alesis kit does have more instrument sounds within its module compared to the Roland. There are some other differences to consider as well. Absolutely. It’s definitely great for gigs where volume control is crucial. You will also make your pastor very happy!
      Thanks again.

      These would be a heck of a lot more versatile and easy to set up and use for a church or other smaller public gig, than a full size trad. drum kit. Easier to transport, store,
      setup, etc. You can run one of these via any PA I believe or mixer. Of course a dedicated drum amp is preferable for live.

      If you're gonna use an amp, I would get a good Roland or other quality dedicated drum amp. I'm more of a guitar authority, but I've played some of these kits
      in stores and they always have a good quality drum amp to demo them with. A really good pair of studio monitor headphones would be nice, too. Fostex, Yamaha,
      Beyer, AKG, etc.

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, sachin verma. Thanks so much for your interest. You can record directly via USB. That is the best way to record these. You can also plug the output into an interface, as well. I would recommend using USB.
      I hope this helps.

    What cable is necessary to connect to a monitor

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, TONEWALL 76. Thanks for your interest. It depends on which monitor you’re using. The output of the TD07 is 1/8” (3.5mm). The other end will depend on the monitor itself, but in most cases it’s 1/8” or 1/4”.
      I hope this helps.

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, NashreddeR! The TD-07DMK’s drum module does not have any trigger inputs in addition to the main breakout cable. That breakout cable supports the hi hat, the ride and a dual zone crash, all of which come with the kit itself.
      Thanks for the interest!
