Video title was "Mid sized trucks to avoid". He pretty much listed all the mid sized trucks available, so I am still trying to figure out which trucks to not avoid and then he didn't rank them, but he said he did. I now know what TH-cam channel to avoid.

Agreed. I think there would be a solid market for a more basic truck with rubber floors and Naugahyde seats. Carpeted floors just hold mud a dog fur. And who the hell walks around inside their truck in bare feet? I want good power, four wheel drive or AWD. I do not need a sun roof or numerous electronic gizmos. But car manufacturers learned. While back that they couldn’t sell us more vehicles, but they could sell us more vehicle.

I bought a 2022 pro-4X and love it. I test drove the Rangers, colorado/canyon, and Tacoma. I ended up with the Nissan. I like the fact that Nissan is selling a truck not a giant computer on wheels. The interior is way better than the rest the infotainment system works great. I've used it at our family farm and it did great off road. (I had to go through a creek with a pretty steep incline and had no issues with ground clearance). I think alot of these TH-camrs are payed off by these other car companies. The frontier has everything I wanted and need at a good price point.

I drove all the vehicles except the Maverick and the Santa Cruz and none of them drive as well as the Frontier. My Frontier is the perfect midsize for me.

In my opinion I would rank the New frontier pro 4X is number one. I just bought one about 2 months ago and absolutely love it. I did a ton of research on all of the midsize pickups before making any decisions. I will say though that I might have had some bias as my vehicle it replaced is a 2007 Nissan Xterra which I loved dearly and actually decided to keep it as a winter vehicle. When looking for vehicles I really would have loved to see a brand new 2022 Nissan Xterra redesign but the frontier is a beauty the engine feels great the infotainment system is really nice I don't find it cluttered at all. Seats are super comfortable driving position is really good and adjustable. The only cons that I can see some people not liking is the hydraulic steering instead of electric and the amount of leg room in the rear. Other than that though I really can't see why anybody wouldn't like this truck.

I just prefer the orange trim which is not available with leather. The infotainment system is millions of lightyears better than any other in the segment… period. The quality of the screen and image is superior and the screen size is larger than most. I terms of mpg… I’ve been hitting the highway and it’s done 27mpg and 20-22 mpg in the city. The wheel is just amazing, it feels just the right amount of heavy to really get that trucky feeling. Nissan is always an underdog in this segment but somehow is one of the most durable. Lol, "tough titties," eh? Personal hands-on testing trumps the reviewers, so tough titties back at you. Also, that misleading clickbait title. I test drove all of these except for the Hyundai and the Maverick. I actually ordered a Maverick Lariat FX4 in mid-December of 2021, loaded with everything. It is now September 4, 2022, and it still hasn't gone to the assembly line. I need a truck, and out of all I tested, the 2022 Ranger Lariat FX4 (fully loaded) impressed me the most. I bought one in Cactus Gray with the blackout package. Yeah, it's a bit bouncy on the pavement if you compare it to an SUV or sedan, but so was my old half-ton truck. But my Ranger is really comfortable. Off-road, it really shines. I was a little disappointed with the gas mileage at first, but now that it is broken in, I'm getting an average of 23 MPG, in combined city and mountain highway driving. I'm happy with that. I'm also happy with the awesome power and torque of that little 4-cylinder turbo engine. I just love my Ranger. I've decided that if the Maverick ever gets delivered, I'll re-sell it.

The biggest misconception with trucks, is that everyone uses them for the same thing. If we did, we wouldn't have mini-trucks and the F 400 and 500 series trucks, and everything inbetween.
The hate that the Ridgeline gets is stupid. I drove a Ridgeline when I worked for Honda Canada, and thought it was great. The AWD system and VTM-4 made it so I NEVER got stuck, in mud, snow or anything else. The Ridgeline also out-performed a lot of Jeeps at a Jamboree, due to the way the drive system worked...I always had a tire on the ground and with quality BFG's it was fantastic. The argument that it had a funny shape and couldn't carry a camper was ridiculous; neither can the Avalanche and neither can most 1/2 tonne trucks.
The new Ranger is great, and the Tacoma just keeps on going, though in both cases, the lack of diesel engines here in North America, gives us significantly less payload capabilities than the same trucks in the UK for instance; with the diesel you get an upgraded suspension and brakes. Obviously with the lack of full-sized trucks in the UK and Europe, having the mid-sized with improved ability is a necessity we just won't find here.
If the Maverick or Ridgline works for a retired couple or family who need to do a recycling run weekly, go to the Home Depot or garden nursery, or fly-fishing on a Sunday afternoon...that is great.
If someone is out there saying that the only truck is a one-tonne, lifted, chipped, and belching smoke on seven foot tires, then I would recommend therapy to overcome the smaller than average penis, and recognize that stock Land Rovers have explored the world, every inch of it without a lift kit, chip, and a mortgage worth of add-ons.

Well here I go dismantling this video. 1 none of these trucks are obtainable for the mentioned cost. 2.hondas Ridgeline has the cheapest looking interior of them all.
    3. Colorado has the second worst interior, where all your time is spent sitting. Power is weak
    4. Toyota has the cheapest made body and panels but does have reliable engines but lack power.
    5. Nissan Frontier by far the best built best interior and best ride handle and comfort along with best display in any truck. The pro4x is a class by its self. Top dog pick
    6. The jeep truck. 30 years ago this ugly creature arrived , called the scrambler and it died as quick as this ugly arrival will. Interior is well short of a truck, just a jeep really. Who cares, it's gross looking and isn't all that dependable.
    7. Bottom line is every single order and rating this video gave was dead wrong and way off or reality.
    8. Nissan top dog

Toyota came jn second but lacked the brute of the Nissan. The others, well far short of the power it seemed. They struggled bad. Also update the pro4x has a better equipped interior over the titan which I found odd. Seems the bigger would be better equipped. I mean who doesn't like bells and whistles right. All mid size trucks I checked out were in thier own rights nice. All rode well toyota, Colorado, canyon, Honda. Just weren't overall the best choice for what I was looking for. Traditionally everybody knows who knows trucks that Edmunds, Kelley Blue book and JD power stroke Honda hard. The fridge line is the most dated looking of the trucks nice 1995 styling, It can't do anything the other trucks can do including towing payload and off-roading, but they gave it crazy high marks? Check out the number of Honda advertisements in some of their magazines.... You get a better idea of how Honda executives influence these review magazines, It has a reliable motor that doesn't get good fuel economy.... And is ridiculously high priced for the base trim levels. Where do I sign!?! (Sarcasm intended) Honda fan boys are almost as bad as trekkies.

I had a 16 GMC Canyon. At 22,000km the bushings on the suspension went, never seen a dirt road it was a city truck and driven slowly. At 28,000km the infotainment head unit crapped out, was replaced under warranty. At 36,000km the rear taillight kept shorting out and the bulb was melting into the socket. Gm couldn’t fix this problem and it persisted until I got rid of the truck. Around 36,000km the 4x4 system wouldn’t engage or disengage in cold weather. Gm couldn’t fix this either meaning I had to leave it in 4x4 just to ensure I had it when I needed it… finally at 44,000km the engine started to burn oil and was blowing oil out of the exhaust. The engine needed to be replaced, and the head unit failed a second time. With all the problems on the vehicle, I went to Amvic filed a complaint and gm bought the truck back under lemon law. What a hunk of junk. My buddies on his third frontier all three have gotten him to 250k km plus and he just trades them for newer ones with no issues

I just received a new 2022 Tacoma on 3/3. I have owned 4 Toyota small trucks since 1984 including the new 22 model. In total I have had to replace two mechanical parts, a water pump, and an A/C compressor. No tows, and only two non-starts due to batteries. People can say what they want, but they are tough, durable, and reliable. Yes, they are less powered than most of its competition, and they don't have all the frills. You know, very things that break the most. Instead, Toyota focuses on refining the detail that makes them reliable. Tacoma's do some things great, and others only extremely well. But rest assured, that if you maintain it, it will provide you with a life long ride, on road, and off. FYI, my 2022 is getting 21.5 - 23.5 combined mpg

It's not really fair to compare the two, but I will say the Colorado felt more solidly built and durable. However, the Frontier's engine power is impressive; it also handles bumps much better than my Colorado did. The brakes are top notch, and the interior is considerably quieter as well. Example for comfort is back support when on the freeway. I welcome your comments.

I bought a 2022 ranger black edition and couldn’t be happier with it. Loaded with all the safety features and rides like a dream. Lots of seat room in the back as well and has more than enough power. Easy for my wife to drive as well and easier to park. I had a 2012 f 150 4x4 and like this even better. My friend down the street says he likes it better than his 2022 Nissan Frontier which both of us were even lucky enough to get because of the shortages. My ranking would be
    Ranger, Ridgeline, Frontier, Tacoma.....

I am so glad I walked away from an almost sale of a Colorado yesterday.
2022, Z71 Gray. Looked nice, that was ALL. Ride was just ok.
I am so glad they would not give me what I wanted for a 2013 Silverado with 97k on it. That was our second day test driving it, & something just kept telling me no... walk away... walk away.
What got me is the terrible air conditioning. That thing would not cool after 10 miles. Red Flag!!!
No one Raves about a Colorado.
No one carries on about how much they love it, and how great it is.
No one. I will never walk into Serpentini Strongsville Ohio again.
      Very juvenile atmosphere!!!
Stupid large screen with nothing but ridiculous advertising crap.
Has such a low-class feel to it.
Can't believe they have a snack bar area on their main showroom and all it has, is clutter inside it. Storage area. LMFAO!!!
I was so thankful and glad I did not buy that today. Nothing like that gut feeling.
      Then I read this!!!
WOW! Sorry for your terrible loss and troubles.
This video was not so great.
Change the title dude. Seems many people agree on that.

When time for me to get a truck I chose the GMC extended cab with long bed. It's a truck and that's what served me. For better price point was tempted by the smaller engine but got the V6 and am glad I did. Nothing fancy or fashion forward but plan to drive it for years to come.

He said midsized trucks to avoid? All he did was give some pros and cons on all available midsized trucks. So do you avoid all of the trucks he talked about. No such vehicle is perfect they all have some issues and all break down at some point. If you listen to everyone who thinks they are experts and maybe not owned any of the trucks mentioned you will never buy a vehicle. Just buy what you like and enjoy it! I own a 2021 Ridgeline touring edition and I love it. 90 percent of people who buy a truck use it for work or weekend yard work or going to home depot. The rest of 10 percent use their trucks for towing all the time and go off reading.

Who in their right mind gives J.D. Power any credence? Simply paid-for opinions so manufacturers can get the report they desire. Consumer Reports are not much better, frequently repeating others' opinions. Yes to Car & Driver, Edmunds & Kelly Blue Book, and those You Tubers who actually get out and test drive before giving opinions. Pickups, should work as such, not be glorified unibody cars without a frame, having a litany of confusing bells and buttons. A tiny un-usable box smaller than a 60's station wagon added to a unibody car does not make some of these pickups! Hats off to Toyota and Nissan for remembering these are pickup trucks designed for towing and hauling.

Looking at the maverick I thought it was the stupidest vehicle from ford, butbthen I thought, not everyone needs a huge truck that can hall 15,000 pound trailer or carry a payload of 5,000 pounds, some people just need a little car with the utility of a truck

  • @millerkiller6496

They pretty much all suck. The Santa Cruz styling may be cool but it just looks like a bloated swollen up oversized sedan. They should have based it off the Santa Fe or the Palisade instead of the Tucson. Most of these trucks have really poor quality carpet.
