- In 1993 SquareSoft and Akitosho Kawazu's SaGa team released a trailblazing dynastic nonlinear JRPG called Romancing Saga 2 in Japan. The game's sales numbers in Japan alone exceeded 1.5 million copies -- and astronomical amount for the time even when compared with Final Fantasy IV's sales numbers.
Square Enix recently announced a remake to this game on the June 2024 Nintendo Direct, Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven. In this video I talk about about the original Romancing SaGa 2's unique mechanics and quirks. Then I talk about things I noticed in the Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven announcement trailer.

I love the inheritance system. Its so unique and I love the idea of generational storytelling. I hope they update the maps as time passes. The people in Avalon must be like 1000 years old lol.
Iv never played a saga game before so this will be my first
I have a song that i sing to the avalon theme. It has very vulgar lyrics. Can't wait to sing it again
One thing I wish they would streamline is sparking, same unit types should be the same sparker type. No James can spark this but Richard can spark something else nonsense. That or they could just identify what sparker type each character is.
Nah too lazy 😂 glad target had preorder sale with dq3 and karate kid. Hopefully there is easy mode like dq3 as I wanna triple gadabout run.
I only hope they change that every skill level a character (not emperor)levels is carried over to next gen probably my biggest gripe with the remaster. Putting in levels on skills that a character isn’t “skilled” in to be dropped for next generation was a poor choice
