Thank you for this video it is so helpful! Is it true that grad school doesn't prepare you well to be a medical SLP? I've heard that from SLPs who specialize in feeding/swallowing. If so, what did you do to further educate/prepare yourself for the hospital setting?
Grad school has required classes that prep you for med SLP concepts: dysphagia, motor speech, cognitive communication, aphasia. Outside of school, I learned a ton during my clinical rotations. If you can land clinical practicum rotations in medical settings, then you'll learn so much about med SLP
