      @@alphavader951 And the Padme arc, and the scenes cut from the Bad Batch arc, and the time when Ahsoka was supposed to explore the ruins of a Sith temple underneath the Jedi temple... not that I'm overly complaining, it's great that we got what we did, mainly the Siege of Mandalore, which was masterfully done, heartbreaking, and explored and showed how the characters developed through the series, making their choices in the RotS more understandable. It's just... sad not to see those scenes that were treated as canon.
      Although if I were to choose, Siege of Mandalore is the most important.

    • @MrDibara
      @MrDibara 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@marcw6875 The issue with Rey being called a Mary Sue was simply there not being a proper development to her abilities. Since Episode 7, we see her doing some pretty good Force-related abilities even though she had no training at all. And even though it's implied in Episode 9 that she's been training under Leia, we don't really see a change in how she fights now to how she fought before: it looks the same thing.
      Luke by comparison definitelly sucked in Episode 5 while having a huge improvement in Episode 6. We could _tell_ that he had gotten better. With Rey, there was no such feeling.
      So yeah, no wonder fans would also cry out "Mary Sue" again if Rey pulled stunts like Ahsoka did here, because it would feel even more absurd given she didn't feel like she grew at all.
      With Ahsoka, this scene works _because_ we saw her growth, from the brat she was in the initial seasons to the gradual growth and developtment of her fighting skills. We see she gets better and better as the series goes along.
      Poor Rey, man! She _kind of_ had potential, but they didn't know how to use her at all. (well, they failed to use any of the characters properly)

      @@cromano6830 This is a very flimsy theory since I also agree with you: I think that overtime; the elements and the local wildlife would hide the fact that they were buried. It probably took the empire a while to find it since when they showed vader discovering the wreck; his company was already wearing stormtrooper armor and his suit matched that of the suit he wore near the end of the empire's reign. Since the cruiser was in hyperjump for quite a while, we can safely say that they were very far from coruscant which means the empire had to cover a lot of ground when searching.
      Honestly, I still think they'd know someone survived the crash (most likely ahsoka) and buried the bodies.

    This show was so freaking good. Even though it's jammed packed with action, you still pick up on the heavy symbolism. The Venator, the symbol of the Old Republic, brought down from the inside by a Sith Lord, while the remnants of the old order escape in one of the most iconic ships of the Rebel Alliance. All the while, they're dodging debris in a way that's so lucky that it has to be considered the will of the Force.
