You glossed over one of the biggest and most important fixes in this update. The PSVR2 was skewing or distorting the image whenever you moved your head from side to side. It made it look like the world was bending or something. In Skyrim VR, this lead to some weird issue with distortion on the screen where you could see black bars at the side of your view. I haven't tested it enough post update, but I put Skyrim back on just now and it appears that these issues are now gone.
I need to ask you this because I have ps5 and some times I got that ghost effect when I turn my head to trees and I can notice this to other objects too. Is this effect gone for you on pc with rtx 4090? Because o ps5 a 60fps game gets rendered to 120fps on psvr2 and thats the problem we cant lock fps to 90 or 120. Pls I need to know thanks for your time
i hav e the bt500, all ports connected straight to the motherboard. All usb 3.0. Unplugged my logitech bluetooth dongle and any other bluetooth devices. When i play boneworks my controller connection is not smooth and keeps disconnecting
I have bad feeling that Sony will focus on the pc side of things with psvr2. It's a good headset but the lack of proper vr games that aren't just ports from other old games etc is really making me think to sell it away and just get quest 3 you can't even watch any vr videos or 3d movies on the ps side. Sony really don't seem to care doing nothing on the ps side on the psvr2 at this point it's way more usefull on pc than on the actual device it was designed for
Do you have a PC? If you do I would keep the PSVR2 if you have one because it has OLED lenses, plus you can use it on PS5 proper still. It wouldn't make much sense to sell it away for a Quest 3
@@daktheavking9357 nope I don't. As I said it's good for pc but the simple fact is that considering how long it's being out and the amount of actual proper games that aren't ports etc is ridiculously low and it's pretty clear that everyone is focused on pc and meta especially knowing the fact that meat has bought so many of the game companies that there really is no reason to expect A lot of triple A games coming to it. PS5 pro is also rather clear example that Sony is not interested of improving things for real and they will just focus on milking the money out of people. Also considering that psvr2 is 100% focus on gaming and nothing else and the prize ain't cheap considering it doesn't offer even basic things what for example quest offers and Sony knows this that's why they are bringing it to the pc side. They are just trying to cut losses and try to sell it pretending that PS5 pro offers something extra with it. But it's absolutely pointless to get the pro for it either but cause 90% of the games are either shit or tech demos and the handful of games it has don't really offer more than view hours of game time and are ported games. So yeah if you have pc it's a good buye for the prize but just for PS5 it's pretty much useless.
Still don't know if I should buy the adapter. My PC is very fast but I don't have the latest graphic card as I hardly use it for gaming (Radeon RX6900). I played the must play games already using the Quest (e.g. Half Life).
Check if you have a usb-c port on your graphics card. I believe some of the AMD cards already have a virtual link port. If that's the case, you don't need the adaptor.
i wasnt play PCVR for over 1 month. App got updated and now its much worse. Controllers had tracking problems, i managed to make it work with BT5.3 adapter (mobo got 5.0) but now controlers randomly lag
I updated the drivers but still can't get past the controllers. They are clearly on and already paired. The controller graphics on the screen are lit up. But I still get the gray box asking to connect them.
I got the adapter a few days ago and tried it with steam vr. Only problem I’m having is this really annoying screen jitter thing that keeps happening. Whenever I move my head left or right the screen like jitters and lags for no reason but if I stand still it’s fine. I’ve used quest link with steam vr and I’ve never had this problem , if anyone else has advice please lmk 🙏
Yeah I have the same problem ⚠️ running a RTX 40 Series laptop. I know VR favors (VRAM) so I have 8 not 12 or 16 but the judders happen even within the menu.
It might, the support goes the other way around If your laptop supports dispalyport alt mode through USB-C it should work, otherwise it won't HDMI to displayport might work if your laptop supports HDMI
I jumped the gun and bought an adapter already. I have an Asus RoG Strix Scar 15 with 3070ti / i19. It does not have a displayport but the USB-C IS a minidisplay port. I grabbed a USB C to Displayport cable And an HDMI to DP unilateral cable. In case the USB C cable doesn't work. Hopefully it works. If not it's just another reason to finally build a rig lol
Well you were mistaken to do so, the writing was on the wall since the beginning, with the price point if the PSVR2 plus the lower sales of the PS5 and crucially the much lower cost of the quest 2 (and even the quest 3 is cheaper) the PSVR2 was doomed to fail, it sold very poorly (which anyone paying attention could have called) which means devs won't port their games to the PSVR2 All of this on top of no PSVR1 backwards compatability means there's almost no games for the PSVR2 on PS5, no games means no new sales which means even less games
@@flamingscar5263almost no games? Please. There's plenty and a bunch of them are the best version of said game but the PC compatibility is definitely a huge bonus.

This update is FIRE! I finally can use my tp-link!
I got a rtx 4090 and found that the 90 hz setting made my gaming experience much more smoother on all my games, especially at higher game settings.

installed the TPlink update yesterday, totally fixed the controller "hanging" in mid space every few mins for a few seconds..... great update !
I have the same problem. How did you solve it?
NICE ! Was really waiting for the AMD 90hz fix. Thanks for the info !

Thats a damn good card regardless. Maybe give it a go for sim racing if you're into that sort of stuff
If you already have a PSVR2, it's a no brainer honestly, but if you already have a quest, it's a steep asking point at over $600 in total
