It boggles my mind for how much money Felix makes. How many crazy expensive things he can buy but here he is with his modest, humble set up. A simple desk. Simple screens. Simple shelf. Simple everything. There's no flexing of wealth. There's no "omg look at all this stuff i own". I watch any other youtuber that does this type of video and I feel like im being talked down to. But watching this makes me feel great.
Why do you feel like you are being talked down to… pewds enjoys smth more minimalistic I understand, those other youtubers prefer something more not for the price pr flex of wealth they just want to have the best available (monitor desk etc..) if i could afford it i would for example get one of those one piece wooden slab desks that are so nice… there is this yt that makes them sometimes they have those rivers of resin painted blue… looks so cool… and I really like setups like that… if i could afford it get it it wouldn’t be flexing… (also I would buy some nice editions of the books i like even ones i have already read like pewds at 19:10… so much thing you could do…

You could remove the closet doors and have it as a "walk in" shelfing area. It would help connect the gym area too, could store some of the gym stuff in the closet. Get some bands or different lifting accessories hanging. Also would allow you to put the gym mats down without the door

For the speaker blocking the door problem, you can install a sliding door instead of the regular one, it won't be blocked as much, it's a nice small build project and japanese aesthetic very nice
the chances are they are renting the place, and unless you get permision from the owner of the house you cant add anything. plus it wont change much as half of the cupoard is still gonna ber coverd. sorry if i made mistakes eng isnt my first language

For those dresser doors, if you're allowed to you could:
1) remove the doors entirely, or
2) change the doors into a sliding ones. Kinda like those you see from traditional Japanese homes

Should of bought the the tonal for that room, would more easily fit and you can do way more workouts then his current setup.
You’re right, eggshell foam does basically nothing. It dampens some of the high range frequencies, but leaves the rest of the them to go wild. Most bedrooms have low/mid range issues and getting rid of the high end just makes them more pronounced. If you get what they call “full broadband” acoustic treatment you can get a somewhat tamed room. you’re right again a broadcast microphone like the EV mic you’re using has great ambient rejection and as long as it’s close to your mouth you won’t hear much of the room as shown in this video.

I like this setup. It's clean and sleek, and allows flexibility for future upgrades. You could do more for the room using some strategically placed artworks than using sound-proofing, and there is amazing art in Japan that would complement the room. But obviously you've put a heck of a lot of thought into the layout, because it works so well.

I don't have a full workout area, but I do keep dumbells in my home office/gaming room, need to remember to stand up and do something now and then, especially if you work from home. Way more likely to do that, if you have some workout stuff in the office.

There's room eco that is really noticable in the video. You should look into do some stealth sound dampening. It would also help alot with improving the sound from the speakers.

The taste on every single part of the room is amazing, it really reflects your personality. With the doors I had a similar issue with the space on the closets in my house so I change them for sliding doors, I believe that could also help you with the space and maybe if you use sliding doors with a japanese style this might help to the aesthetic of the room too.

A wireless speaker setup would look awesome, you can get the minimal small hanging ceiling speakers, would work well setup to your PC, especially for when you're lifting and don't have to use headphones/wireless earbuds.
Really good rack + good adjustable bench and some dumbbells is really all you need.
And that set up is sick, except for main monitor. Non-ultrawide curved monitor kinda doesn't make sense at all. And those speakers also don't really make sense, at least not if you use them for the computer. Get something like Genlec one or two and use stands to elevate them above the monitors if your desk doesn't have space. It's not that they are too expensive, it just will not give good results even if they are in this setup.

I cannot agree more at 12:50 haha, I tried having a second monitor like that but it just ended up being a dedicated playlist monitor. It's great to have while working or multi tasking but honestly I would probably like a seamless ultrawide screen more.

I love the rack and weights in the same area you do your gaming. So when adrenalin hits and dumps a bunch of fat into your bloodstream, you can burn it right away with a few squats or deadlifts.

For a very rich person, that is a very humble set up. I like how pewds is content with his own setup. This is as an example that it doesn't have to be so grand and posh all the time. Basically, that's my setup.....
The sound proofing is a real thing, it absorbs unwanted echoes. But if you got a bookshelf, matta på golvet, and a little bit of furniture, maybe a frame of Edgar on the wall. It disperses the sound. So It's fine.
And also, if the mic has low gain and you're close to it, it doesn't always pic up the echo in the room.

Hey Pewds, so the reason why you want the acoustic treatment for your room is for more situations like the one you're using the lapel and showing the weights/gym. Microphones that are more sensitive like a condenser microphone will pick up more sound, including the natural reverb coming from the room. You could have a really nice setup on the room with some absorbers and difusers just to have a better control of reverb without it looking too ugly or having to add too much to the room. Do you need? Prob not, since you're not having guess over and most likely not doing a lot of shots with condensers, omnidirectional mics or lapels... If you do want some help tho, let me know I can def help you out lol
The Barbell cover for squats actually messes up your squat form more than it protects your skin. The bar isn't supposed to sit on your neck when you squat and if it hurts to squat heavy, then you know the bar is too high up your neck and it supposed to sit more on the highest part of your back (don't know what that area is called)
