@@FingerlessNomad I mean he's cracked at cod back in the day. And those kinds of skills, esp from a multiplayer competitive shooter, can and will translate into other games you play. Plus being good at a game is a skill, not a talent like everyone tend to perceive, so you can still slowly learn bits of game mechanics at a time to get better at it.

This is Pewd's best video by a long shot. It's so well done, well edited and put together, and an amazing accomplishment for someone who isn't known for playing these games exclusively. I come back to watch this every month it seems, I just love the regular commentary from Pewds, he's actually really good at commentating game play and explaining mechanics. I know he just announced that he's taking a break from TH-cam, but I really hope he continues to do this style of video.

PewDiePie was pretty much done with video games and was semi-retired but Elden Ring caused him to make one of the biggest videos he's made in a long time.
Out of all games there are as of recent, Elden Ring rekindled Pewds love for gaming content creation and he took a week making this one video. Just shows how good of a game it is. Deny it all you want but it's just the goat.

I had previously commented about you cheesing bosses whilst watching this video. Tbh, now I've watched this in it's entirety, it honestly doesn't matter. It's the determination and the fun you had in the process and the most incredible feeling you must have had at the end of the game. At the end during his last run the way he was extremely locked in, I can relate it so much. I remember my battle with Morgott, I was literally tired of dying a lot, and then all of a sudden I just became berserk and just killed him without making more mistakes. I was dominating him so much.

Say what you will about the zero-death meme being ironic, but he actually put a lotta time and effort into this. He did autistic amounts of research and planning and then executed everything perfectly. Sure, he used some cheap tricks, but he beat the game without dying in less than 3 hours to top it off. He also didn't even use summons or some of the other far more op abilities/weapons that the devs were practically intending for players to use on certain bosses in the first place.

Know how when you die your runes are dropped and you can pick them back up? Gustoc takes a percentage of those dropped runes every time you die within the castle before killing godrick so when you pick them back up that percentage is missing. When you take the secret passage he’s also the one who locks you in the room with the knight guy and as a cool Easter egg you can actually see him tailing you from the shadows when exploring certain areas of the castle. He is important for a certain optional quest line but if you’ve already done it or don’t care it’s really better to just kill him. If you kill him and then take the secret passage you won’t get locked in with the knight

The amount of dedication is respectable. Elden Ring has truly reignited what I missed about video games and the passion the developers have put into it is admirable.
