Nice. As my instructor back in the day told me "Trust your tires" (just make sure they are aired up properly) Subbed! Love the skating. Miss the old days.
Yes, tires! So important. As you say, they must be properly inflated. Also, as I once found out, they mustn't be past their prime if you want to be racing them. I'm going to put up some video of that incident sometime soon. Crashed my bike after doing "just a couple of more laps" when I knew they were already done. Thanks for subscribing! Much appreciated.
Yeah, this was the year after the LA riots lol Joking aside, it was fun to watch and I like that he borrowed the skateboard to do some tricks for the camera and be playful.
We used to ride in the cement ditches between Orange County and Lakewood in the mid 70's. There was a dude that would go straight down on a skate board with chalk wheels.
Epic. Buddies and I made the moped short film "High Five" at this location in 2013. Last time I was in the area, all access to the river was fenced off. Bygone eras.
How awesome is that ha. Guess that’s a Kawi. Using the toe technique to feel the slope, that would be intimidating at the top. See how he just focuses down range. Also every local in SoCal can do a 360 or at least a 270 ha. Back when you only had “stories” lol.
Such an empath Angels.. 1st i thought hes gonna confiscate those skate board.. My lord .. He just playin with it ❤.. Such an Amazing Motorcycle Officer.. As fans of the tv Series ChiPs .. He sure following officer John n Poch.. Socializing with the people.. Good job Officer.. Great KZ 1000 P ❤❤.. Oo i almost forget.. Those surroundings remind me of Arnie the Terminator chasing with Cop using KZ 1000 P ❤
@Superbikefilms1 Yup.. Especially with those Closed big half Fairing windshields .. And Deep Blue Uniform.. Indeed exactly like KZP 1000 T-1000 Robert Patrick ride in Terminator 2.. CHiPs bike in 1980's ussually had a clear HD Windscreen 🙏 and theyre Uniform are Tan .. Also the Helmet CHP in year 1980's i think used a look like PASGT Helmet/ SWAT than a half Face Helmet by mostly bike Officer used in Year 1990 1995.. Anyway' Thanks for ur attention My Friend.. Early 70s all our skateboard wheels were ground into conicals from riding the sides of the San Gabriel "riverbed", trying to get the longest ride by going down on an angle and before you run out of steam angle back uphill and on and on.
@@Superbikefilms1 We use to ride our dirt bikes from Bellflower to a little rinky dink dirt bike park in Cerritos thru that riverbed. It was $1 to get in and you could ride all day if you wanted to. We'd slide our bikes under the fence at the end of Foster Road to get into the riverbed. After a short putt we'd slide them under a fence and ride across a railroad trestle there in Cerritos and we were like within a couple hundred yards of the park. Good times buddyro... good times.
Heh, I'm gonna say that a Harley may not to be able to ride up at that angle, not enough ground clearance! Hmm, it'd prolly have to go steeper to avoid scraping!
That would be one way. They're probably not allowed to do this kind of stuff anymore, so, they may have to do it the old fashioned way by leaning it over.🏍
FYI, yes, Capt. Clueless, it IS a riverbed. Also FYI, 'riverbed' is _one word,_ not two. For the record, a riverbed is defined as ''The bed or channel in which a river flows' or 'The bottom of a river.'' It makes zero difference what surface the water happens to flow over. Oh, and by the way...while yes, good guess Mickey, it is made of concrete...technically it's what's known, by _literally anyone_ with a fully functioning cerebrum, as a "flood control channel" (The O.C. maintains 380 miles of them)
Such a distinct sound on those bikes. Takes me back to childhood.
They sound great. Thanks for watching.
He's looking for John Connor
Yes!

I was going too say like another poster...that SOUND of the bike! Totally brought me back in time!
Great sound. Thanks for watching.
Ponch, you are a rockstar!
Yes.
He can skateboard pretty good, too.
Times seemed way more chill
Yep.
Yeah, this was the year after the LA riots lol
Joking aside, it was fun to watch and I like that he borrowed the skateboard to do some tricks for the camera and be playful.
@@TheJoseG Oh yeah, the riots. I rode around in them on my motorcycle just to see what was going on. Wouldn't do that again.
The murder rate per capita was higher then, they had other stuff to worry about. Now they have time to get all involved in petty stuff.

My old Seca 750 sounded identical to that KZ. Air cooled four into two. Ah, how sweet the sound!
Thanks for watching and commenting. They do sound sweet.

Where can we see the High Five short? Yeah, the powers that be have made good spots harder to get to.
that's the same motorcycle that T-1000 used at the Cyberdyne building.
That IS the t-1000.
He looks like T-1000
Holy. shit! I can't believe he made it across that river!
I know, right? I told him to wear a life preserver. He wouldn't listen.

It is a lot steeper than it looks. I was on the camera. I was impressed. Thanks for watching.
Can't do this with a harley
Maybe with couple of beers.
No chicken strips on those tires. Respect
I’d rather have them all playing in the riverbed than passing out cites on Newport Blvd.
Yeah. That was the era when cops still wrote tickets.
I❤it
Evighed model is the bike?
KZ 1000P
These are the cops I miss
Oh, man. Right you are.
nice! ive always wanted to do that in the santa ana river bed!
There's still time. Thanks for watching.
Looking like the terminator he’s so smooth
Ha ha. e does look like the Terminator cop. Thanks for watching.
lol skating likes its the 70's
Yeah!
That’s one way to get rid of your chicken strips
That would kind of be cheating? Thanks for watching.
@ I don’t know about that, a lot of riders wouldn’t be able to manage riding like that
@@honkerman74 Agreed. It's a scary thing heading up that steep grade. Once committed, you are committed. No parachute.
Why does it sound like something the Jetsons would fly
🤣🤣🤣

Sweet bike
I want one of these bikes. I would strip it all down to looking like a naked bike. Thanks for watching.
What kind of bike is it?
Kawasaki KZ1000 police bike.
I wonder if the air pressure of the tires were lowered for better traction/stability?
No. He just went right up. Before this we had been shooting some radar footage on surface streets.
It'd actually be much harder to do this with lowered tire pressure. You'd fold the sidewall with a bike that heavy
@@sun_dreaming I agree with you on that. Thanks for watching.
