      @swecreations ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Mr.Wolf_947 That last part is not exactly true, ABS cuts down your braking distance by a lot, it's not "interrupting", that's misleading, it's continually adjusting braking force to keep it at the absolute limit and maximise performance.

It was just a "baby" - rookie training car but still, I was shocked by the raw element. The suspension is so hard so you REALLY feel every single little stone on the road... slick tyres are also completely different world. And just the feel of completely stripped car where you hear all the noises, little stones flying from the tyres etc., etc... So this is no surprise. But as we can see in case of Porsche here, the "tax" for some comfort does not need to be that high...

    coud you this test again but with both of the cars having the same tyres. start with the road tires on both? and have racing tires the next round?

    What this simulator doesn't simulate is the extremely complex vehicle dynamics controls modern street cars have. For example, the street Audi RS3 has torque vectoring, which may not be modelled in-sim.

    Should have the same tire compound to get a better results from oe performance. That gt3 would've been about equal or better if the tires were the same as the cup car

    In real life, most 911’s are all within a narrow range of actual performance numbers so it’s no surprise that the two Porsche here were so close. A base 911 can rip to 60 in just under 4 sec while the insane 911 Turbo S can do it under 3 sec. Among all the 911 variants, their accelerations are all within 1.5 sec. That’s nuts!

    Surely it would be fairer to put the road cars starting first as they are obviously are going to have more of a struggle overtaking/keeping up

      I'm nowhere near a professional simracer but I can give two tips:
      1 Practice makes perfect. This works with every car and every track. Do 10-15 laps with the delta time. Try different things and see what makes you faster (brake a little bit earlier, a little bit later, more steering wheel imput, less steering wheel imput, get a bit more of that kerb or maybe less...
      2 Look for lap guides on TH-cam. Even if they are from other sim. AC, ACC, rFactor 2, iRacing, Automobilista 2 etc... have gotten to an incredible level of realism (car physics, laser scanned tracks...) . So much so you can use an iRacing guide and unless you are way above average it will make you faster in AC for example. You can even use real-life footage. This will work most of times unless you want to get to that top level where you are gonna need every hundred of a second and each sim has its own tricks (setups, driving techniques...) Hope this can help you!!

    i think the biggest difference is the race cars being on slicks. put them both on like a "track day" 100tw tire and i bet theyd be very close.

  • @reynard2ki

    Tires are uber important. All other things being the same, if the road cars had the same rubber, it would have made a huge difference in the road car performance. I would like to see this done again with the road cars having the same tires as the race cars.

  • @justadummy8076

  • @Patrik2166

    Not surprised on the result. Race spec cars have better efficiency, better aero and better tires. Most importantly: the tires! They are everything on a track! If the Porsche would have the same tires as the race spec counterpart then it would probably win fair and square 👍
