If you run both cars on a circuit with lots of corners the race version will win, but if you choose an Oval circuit like Talladega the street version can win as it has less aerodynamic drag and higher top speed.
bruh i thought the performante had it for a sec, then came the corners. The ZL1 is a very serious track car and is not to be slept on, i would rather have seen it go against its nascar counterpart on daytona but the GT4 and nascar versions probably arent that much different in speed

Porsche duel with older porsche cars: street car had less power and more weight and it was a domination for the race car (maybe the type which won daytona in the early 2000s against the dp cars). camaro duel: very close duel with only the second time, a street car beat a race car MX 5 duel: dominant race from the cup car, great maschine.
Hmm, but that would take away the essence of street cars or street version. The only street legal production car that uses slicks I can think of is the dodge demon, not even sure about semis

That's what I found weird, the fact that the race version of the car isn't able to gain enough time in corners to beat the street version.
@@danilo_9035 It Depends on the car you're looking at, but race versions have a lot of downforce compared to road car versions But the main reason the race cars are faster is due to the tires. The road car uses grooved tires and a harder compound, which helps them run the road at most conditions but not at track, however, race cars have slicks(only GT or touring cars) and are built with a softer compound, which allows them to go fast around a track

The Cup car is a bit faster than the GT4, a couple seconds I would say. We compared the Next-Gen with the Shelby GT500 at Monza in the last episode!

and the gt3 cars are used in endurance races so they tend to have lower top speeds to increase reliability (is what i think)

They are restricted on power due to regulations, they'll actually be a lot faster without any regulations
