My favorite performance of The Avengers in Marching Band will always be my old school's marching show. They did a super theme show, played the Avengers theme very last, and had someone who played in the band, go behind a prop, put down his trumpet, and walked out on to the field dressed as Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet. He snapped, had a very low bass sound affect and half the band slowly fell to the ground. Nothing can top that😂😂😂
Lmao last year we were going to do Bohemian Rhapsody and 1st flute had a high Bb (3rd highest note flute can play) and I was the piccolo player on 1st. I remember just blasting away on that note, it was fun. We never got to perform it though and I only played it once, but it was fun
I was in the middle school level (junior band) for our county marching band this summer,, and I heard the senior band (high school level) play this at our 4th of July parade, and I honestly had no idea what song they were playing, but i really liked it, and now I finally found it. I play along with this on my flute all the time :)
James Whitacre yeah but this is the type of writing that i HATE where the middle voices have measures of rest at big impact of moments only to play the main theme for a measure. I should know I played this, lazy underscoring.
Pokemon Rules I'm a third year trombonist. Listening to the piece is always good cause you have a better idea of where your part fits. It helps a lot. you're on the right track
This was a very awesome performance.I really love how the percussionists played along with their rhythm to give more energy and confidence into playing w/other instruments so we can all be at a steady tempo and play a superhero-themed song that brings us together to play through this whole piece.Avengers, assemble!
I am so thankful you put this up! I absolutely love this song & I've always wanted to play it! I wanted the trumpet part for my commercial in my acting class & I am going to play this song & this has helped me out big time! I will make sure I give you credit in my commercial! thank you once again!
Very well put together. The cords that are put in here are just goosebumps starters. That is one thing I look for in a song that I hopefully will do one day with a band.
One thing that sucks when I watch these sorts of videos is that I have to go back to read EVERY PART for EVERY INSTRUMENT I PLAY so I end up watching it like five times
omar martinez as a bass clarinet I can confirm the fact that you guys have an extremely powerful sound that :))) totally:))))) doesn't :))) overpower :)) me :)))))))))) at :))))) all
Everyone mentions how bad the flute part is, but the xylophone part is literally just constant 16th notes and it's really hard to do that and not hit a wrong note
My guess would be my band would play this. So far we have Mission Impossible, Indiana Jones and Smoke on the water. So this must be next song I would think
My band is playing this for our marching show next year, and it's hero themed so we have this, Incredibles theme, mission impossible, spiderman-superman-batman themes in one song and star wars theme
@@robbtheslobb oh my word this is not for 3rd-4th grade band, this is a marching band arrangement, therefore it is for high school! It is a grade 3 as in difficulty. Also most baritone music is scored in bass clef here, but if you want treble clef baritone, I think they do have parts for those or else just read the tenor sax part
@@obinnanwakwue5735 you are right i go to shhs but the baritone is only bc cause thats only one can read now if you want tc treble clef u gonna have to like figure it out with bamd teacher or your screwed (meee) im screwed well not me specifically my friend ivette
@@cmaanderson5545 people reading treble clef baritone music are either trumpet players switching to euphonium/baritone or bass clarinets playing stand tunes
@@obinnanwakwue5735 true but the people at our school never played a treble cleff instrument and they get a bass clef so its weird right also they only know how to read treble cleff for some odd. Reason but i was in middle school and elememtary all the way until high school

This year at MPA one school had a Marvel theme and the drum majors dressed as Captain America, it was awesome
Omg that's literally what we did!!🤣
Ours was better
@@gavinmitchell1328yea. I did it my freshman year. (Not blue, but the person controlling this account)
Is there a video I would love to watch it if there is. That sounds really cool

[Chuckles] I'm in danger
Wheres the high note?
Marching Food Truck I think he was making a joke

playing this in pep band was amazing… especially when the whole crowd starts cheering
Dude with a really crazy cool rudimental choppy snare part that would be so lit

Our band plays this as one of our pep band tunes. I get goosebumps everytime I play it. The song is so powerful and so fun to play *I'm a snare*
0:45 roughly. I always start getting goose bumps
i did my color guard performance to this song and i LOVED IT
We played this for my spring band concert my senior year it was so much fun! I played drumset! 😆🥁👌😎
those poor woodwinds/Mellos get very little substantial anything :'(
i agree
Did you not see how the mellos had the entire melody? As well as the woodwinds had effects and melodies?
James Whitacre yeah but this is the type of writing that i HATE where the middle voices have measures of rest at big impact of moments only to play the main theme for a measure. I should know I played this, lazy underscoring.
I’m a clarinet player 😭
Yes. I feel this. I play alto sax and me and the mellos play basically nothing.
Prince George Marching Royals played this when we went to Disney! Let's go Royals!!
I remember playing this when I was a freshman... good memories..
im playing it this year as a freshman too!!
I did it in 5th grade
listening to this helps me with learning this song on my Trombone ... I'm kinda new at playing it
Word of advice try and play 6th position notes in first it helps trust me
Pokemon Rules I'm a third year trombonist. Listening to the piece is always good cause you have a better idea of where your part fits. It helps a lot. you're on the right track
Pokemon Rules and I don't know what you guys are talking about cause I'm a percussionist👍🏻👌🏻
As a fellow trombonist, listening to this helped out a lot because this is going to be some pep band music we'll play next year

If my ol' alumni band ever regrouped again. Perfect song to reunite a generation of students that has had the same 1 director over several decades 🎅

Every part in this song is great
We are currently doing this for Marching band. We have to memorize it by Algona (Iowa) Band days in a few months
