We played this song for a tribute for a kid who passed away, who played on our high school basketball team. We slowed it down and it was so magical. I couldn't even see my music from the tears.
Hey look a song that is fellow trombones can actually have fun playing instead of just whole notes and half hires the entire song. I love playing this song
@@her2c4t yeah I know my trumpet section is loud there’s like 8 trumpets in my band and only the like 6 low brass instrument the trumpets out sound us a lot

I’m listening to this now cause all the seniors just graduated and we all played it so well together. I’m gonna miss them all so much (especially all the percussionists) 😭
I love when us alto sax’s get a little bit of a challenge. Putting in patterns that take a little work to get used to. Because once you play it correctly you get so satisfied with yourself.
I play baritone and let me tell you this is my favorite marching band song. US LOW BRAS FiNaLlY play something where we have the action!!! I love playing it.
I might be playing this song for my schools halftime show this year and I’m going to play baritone even though I’m usually a trumpet player so I’m really hoping to play this just for the amount times low brass get to play
I play the trombone and I say is great i normally play 1st trombone for all my songs but would not hurt for a 3rd trombone to bring lower tone to brass
measure 49 with the horn part for some reason is my favorite part. I rewind to hear it many times and it gets me every time idk why though, and i don't even play horn
Ugh this guy's arrangements are the best pop song arrangements on this channel they actually have harmonies and stuff instead of the whole band playing the same notes
I'm just playing this freshman year and I already had another marching band at a different school and a graduate at my school complimented me because I'm the only xylophone player at my school
Oh no lol we're going to play this as a jazz band in 2 weeks at our senior night....my main instrument is trumpet but I'm going to be learning this on trombone 😅

I had to sightread this in my highschool because the guy who was supposed to play the snare part wasn’t there. It was so fun sight reading this. I didn’t know it was this song until I played it halfway through! I’m so glad I sightread this piece on snare for that concert. What a great song. I used to listen to it all the time in my younger days
Doing this song in marching band this year and absolutely in love with it I can't stand the actual song but this tenor sax girl loves and marching band song
I'm a first and the trumpet sound in this video sounds exactly how I play it...only difference is that this piece exaggerates it's articulation (in a good way) in which my high school band don't really focus on...(not say we we don't focus articulation in general) especially the trumpet sound
I played this for my spring concert . Only problem was that the trumpets in my school are lazy and don't practice, so on the day of the concert the band director asked us trombones to play along with them during their time alone with the melody .....
Confused Fox it really sucks when a section doesn't practice, it really ruins it for the ones who do... sadly at my school pretty much ever section doesn't practice. except for mine, when I tell them to practice they hop to it lol

This arrangement, which I found last year, my first year of marching band, in which I had more fun and good times than I'd had in my life, makes me feel so nostalgic now... but the coronavirus has taken it all away. We've only gone to 4 home games, and that's all we're gonna go to- yesterday was our last one. It feels like it was merely the second. I know that, a year ago, I would've thought I was crazy to be nostalgically missing marching band so, but... Even though it was a lot of work and pretty tough sometimes, especially during the summer heat, it was so much more fun than I realized. It actually made me feel special, to be included in something unique. Our band was rather small, but we all tried our best. And we had so much fun. Our low brass may have just been a duo, as was the trumpets and saxophones, but I feel like, due to that fact, we grew closer than we would have if it was bigger. It was kind of like a family. We are still small but progressively getting larger as more people join. How I wish we could've had the chance this year to do all the fun activities like competitions that we did last year. Oh...I'm rambling again. Hmph... Music really does highlight memories, doesn't it? ... Stupid coronavirus... Why did to have to be this way? Why...? When will it go back again? When will it be normal and not suck? When...? Or... Will it, at all??
