It occurred to me recently, Benjen is the only member in Jon's family with the relationship he was born to have with him. Catlin and Ned were hus aunt and uncle, but he believed they were his stepmother and father, he was raised believing his cousins were his half siblings, but Uncle Benjen was always going to be Uncle Benjen. I look back on these two episodes as the ones where things really began to go downhill. Jaime and Bronn surviving the dragon attack, Tyrion's needless and hair-brained plan to capture a wight, Gendry's Marathon run, Dany turning up on her Dragon so quickly, Jon climbing out of a freezing lake, Benjen choosing to die when he could have survived...
3:14 That's very bad writing by D&D. Dany was born in Westeros and Randyl fought for her father in Robert's Rebellion. Saying that she has no ties is so wrong by him
The area beyond the wall is shrinking due to the constant movement of the knight king and army. I think Benjin was bound to that area due to the magic from the children of the forest. So even if he did go with John, he would have to stay on the other side of the wall where the knight king is getting closer so his fate is sealed, really regardless to me. @TheOctobersReact Also just wanted to say that during the show airing live this episode was spoiled for many fans. Not only was it a super painful episode someone hacked HBO and posted clips of the Night King killing Viserion (Dany’s dragon) all over TH-cam, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. It totally spoiled the episode for me. However I didn’t know who would make it out alive so that was still an exciting episode.
The episode that kept all of us on our toes and at the edge of our seats...Just a TASTE of what the Night King and his white walkers that's heading into Westerose. Jon & Daenerys needs to get everyone ready 🔥🔥🔥
yall underestimate dragonfire, it wasnt that they were burned alive, its more like they were vaporized, died instantly, id say better than beheading. theres still a few moments of life after a head rolls i assume

Daenerys in Essos: "any man may leave and no harm will come to him" Daenerys in Westeros: "put your life on the line and fight for me, or I'll burn you alive" Drafted armies in Westeros are as much slave armies as the Unsullied were. They can't just choose not to serve, or they'll be killed. Daenerys changed a lot between Essos and Westeros. Not good changes.
um so like... that wasn't war those people weren't trying to murder her hope that helps she obviously didn't want to kill them but she couldn't imprison them easier because she's against it since she was a prisoner herself and are we forgetting randyll tarly literally committed treason? lady olenna was under danerys yet he plotting against her and went with the lannisters even if she did die the other episode it was still treason ned and every other lord, literally behead people who commit treason (and actually death by dragon fire isn't the same as what stannis did.. it's a quick death because the dragon fire is so powerful... no one feels anything) and if i'm not mistaken she didn't say they had to lay their lives on the line and fight for her, she said to surrender??? maybe i'll have to watch it back but i'm pretty sure she didn't say what you're saying she said idk man, i'd rather surrender than die because i was too prideful and again, this is all a total bs situation because in the books tarly's are targ loyalist and would never do this
Always thought would have been better for Night King to walk up to hole in ice, do his hand arm raise like in Hardhome. Dragon rises up from and with ice and water falling from its body, blasts some blue flame with a roar, then turns blue eyes to camera. (In Hardhome Night King just raises his arms, the chain thing seem out of place to me)
I always loed the idea of Viserion making his way out the frozen like by himself, flying... it would have been really interesting to see that, but how the show portrayed worked as well, people usually think it does not make sense for the white wakers to get in the water, however, it's not crazy to think the night king sent some of them to only put the chains with no care of losing those soldiers, he has thousands more, also, the chains can come from the giants.... it makes sense to me at least.
‘You need to take your enemies side to anticipate their actions’ also if you had say a master spy on your side who for instance should probably have known a large Lannister army had mobilised and marched on Highgarden, that information probably would have helped!
my theory for this episode to make more sense is: the night king is also a greenseer (like bran or jojen, he has these kind of visions) & knew that a dragon would be there and stayed to get him (because he might come in handy in the future). otherwise it wouldn't really have made sense for him to stop his entire army & wait to get to a handful of people.
it makes me mad when they say that dany wasn’t born in westeros because she literally was!! dragonstone is in westeros. barely a day journey from there to kings landing 😂
I can't believe you're already at the end of season seven!!! Re: Dany & Jeorah. In the books there is a chapter in book two when Dany is on her first ship and Jeorah actually kisses her. I cannot recall the exact details, but feel that she rejected him after that moment. I was glad they did not have this in the television adaptation because it did not sit right with me. However, I believe this was depicted in the series in the scene at Qarth when he reaches for her shoulder and she pulls away and tells him, "You are (being) too familiar." So, I don't think she is in love with him "that way." But, she definitely appreciates his support and guidance.
I can't see if anyone else has mentioned it but back when ep 5 aired the very next day a very poor pirated copy of ep 6 was released to the public and of course we watched it, too hard to resist, but in hindsight I wish we hadn't lol
To stick up for Daenerys here, "Bend the knee or Die" is basically what all of her ancestors did & it is the saying Aegon used to conquer Westeros. She does get a slight side eye for it, but it's what Targaryens have always done to make sure it sticks lmao. Also, if you rewatch, you can kinda see that it is Jons fault that Daenerys lost a dragon xD They could have all escaped. The ice dragon is a good reason why the alternate name for Game of Thrones is "A song of Ice and Fire" :DDD
Tyrion should have told Jaime that Tywin was sleeping with Shae, and that he caught them both red handed. It's possible that Shae's body was removed to save Tywin's reputation, and maybe Jaime and Cersei never found that out.
@@wildtime845 Agreed, but you would think if Jaime realized, he wouldn't be as upset. I mean surely after what he had done to Tysha, to be sleeping with whores himself, would make Jaime think differently about his father, his father's death, and Tyrion's hand in it.
@@billross7245 I think he definitely would. If he wouldn't then he is an unrealistic character. Someone secretly fucking your girl drives men mad, and every man that loves a woman understands that. Crimes of passion are punished less because we understand there are actions that can be done that are maddening. Like fucking someone else, especially your partner's friends of family. Jaime knows how Tywin treated Tyrion about whores, and to not only be a whore monger himself, but to be doing it with Tyrion's own personal whore, is just sick and horrible, and I think Jaime would totally think it justified. That's why we never got any proof he knew, because then his continued anger at Tyrion would seem dumb.
Because this is completely different in the book's. The thing about Tysha is that she wasn't some whore and genuinely loved Tyrion. In the book's Tyrion wants vengeance on both Jamie and Cersei.
when you think about it, its really stupid that the night king didn't decide to kill the dragon that danaerys was sitting on, especially considering it wasn't moving

It was so stupid what they were doing and you had one of the smartest characters in the show recommending this course of action because the writing was down the tubes at this point.
yes, arya would've been fighting more than sansa if she had been in her position. and I'm pretty sure she would've gotten herself killed that way. fighting and surviving aren't always the same thing. and both are equally valid options to choose.
Reminds me of Shay-Shay's advice to the WNBA and Caitlin when he proclaimed: "Let her cook!" LOL Evident thru time the Children of the Forest created the Walkers to kill mankind in preservation. (Easy to know now). And like many doomsday weapons they became uncontrollable in their desire to kill 'the enemy,' or distinguish the difference between ally and foe, imo...natch. Stargate's Replicators. One last Observation: Is it 'Bite Me', or hocus-pocus to create a ghoul in this series?
I remember first time watching, when the army of the dead finally started closing in on the group, I was on the edge of my seat, but I wasn't cracking jokes about Jake Paul and Super Mario.
In season 7 there are teleportations, giant and intelligent chains, and a trip that if you wait for a person to die on the Wall and wait for him to revive, there was no need to go Beyond, but in any case everything could be forgiven, in the eighth season there are very good things but I am unable to see the last episode, I will try to be with you more or less until 8x03, 8x04 at most For me it is the Best Serie of all time but whose ending should not be remembered Mr & Mrs Octubers It has been a pleasure to travel this entire path and what remains for us.. "Buy one get one free" funniest thing I've heard in quite a while. Enough to put me off fried food for a while.
The dragon recognizes Jon as a Targaryen. Way before the humans do. Even before Jon himself does.
I can't believe by Episode 6 Ms October hasn't realized there is clearly a Romance arc between Jon and Dany...wow. I am shocked that being a woman she can't see that at this point.
That's because the show forces it, and there's little natural chemistry between the actors, or strong story telling to back it up!
@@johnmorris1009 you are blind
21:22 God's he was strong! 😂 39:43 I appreciate your statement about Arya seeing things black and white. Look where she's been for 2 years. Plus, that's a very Stark way of hinking. Ned was the same way, but Arya doesn't know everything because she secaped King's Landing and Sansa was stuck there with Joffrey, Cersei and Littlefinger. 1:26:46 i think the Beyond the Wall scenes were filmed in Iceland and Northern Ireland.
Love the hair, Mrs. October.
Lol @ Mr. October's face when the hare-brained scheme to capture a wight comes into being.
At the end of the opening credits I hear Mr. October saying "ching-a-ling, ching-a-ling" even when he doesn't say it. Baha. ps: Mrs. Octobers hair is so nice! Big fan!
Last message to Randall Tarley... "Sam sends his regards".
Jon & Daenerys needs to get everyone ready 🔥🔥🔥
ya'lls personalities really shine through now.. its gr8 to see
yall underestimate dragonfire, it wasnt that they were burned alive, its more like they were vaporized, died instantly, id say better than beheading. theres still a few moments of life after a head rolls i assume
But...if they died instantly, why can we hear them screaming?
Much love from Romania guys ❤
The only time I’ve ever thought about signing up for Patron is to watch you two react to GOT. I’ve seen every vid on TY but y’all are so engaged I want to see the entire thing!
it's so good lol it's hard not to be this engaged!
I think the best offsetting combination of advisors for Daenerys would have been Tyrion, Missandei and Jorah.
What difference does it make? She wouldn't listen to any of them.
I’m always amazed at how these people can be in the freezing cold without covering their ears and don’t get frostbite. Lol
Welcome to the age of Westeros Jet Packs.
Cousins? Auntie/Nephew.
What's worse then fucking your brother? Fucking your brothers kid.
You guy's are soo cute! ❤
1:00:44 stinky finger not little😂😂😂🤘🇺🇸🤠
Going to shill for their patreon real quick 😊 They just posted GoT series finale. Picture in picture reactions. No need for your own copy, no need to awkwardly have your phone playing a separate video. 10 bucks.
Daenerys in Essos: "any man may leave and no harm will come to him"
Daenerys in Westeros: "put your life on the line and fight for me, or I'll burn you alive"
Drafted armies in Westeros are as much slave armies as the Unsullied were. They can't just choose not to serve, or they'll be killed. Daenerys changed a lot between Essos and Westeros. Not good changes.
um so like... that wasn't war
those people weren't trying to murder her
hope that helps
she obviously didn't want to kill them but she couldn't imprison them easier because she's against it since she was a prisoner herself
and are we forgetting randyll tarly literally committed treason? lady olenna was under danerys yet he plotting against her and went with the lannisters even if she did die the other episode it was still treason
ned and every other lord, literally behead people who commit treason (and actually death by dragon fire isn't the same as what stannis did.. it's a quick death because the dragon fire is so powerful... no one feels anything)
and if i'm not mistaken she didn't say they had to lay their lives on the line and fight for her, she said to surrender??? maybe i'll have to watch it back but i'm pretty sure she didn't say what you're saying she said
idk man, i'd rather surrender than die because i was too prideful
and again, this is all a total bs situation because in the books tarly's are targ loyalist and would never do this
From this episode on, this show turns into a game of thrones-like show.
"The government...!" is craaaaaaaaaaaazzzzzzyyy I'm lightheaded
Great hair Mrs O!
So north of the wall is filmed in Iceland which (second hand) is a very cool place to visit.
Always thought would have been better for Night King to walk up to hole in ice, do his hand arm raise like in Hardhome. Dragon rises up from and with ice and water falling from its body, blasts some blue flame with a roar, then turns blue eyes to camera. (In Hardhome Night King just raises his arms, the chain thing seem out of place to me)
I don't know about that. If the zombies can't go in water, would the zombie dragon be able to get out of the water?
I always loed the idea of Viserion making his way out the frozen like by himself, flying... it would have been really interesting to see that, but how the show portrayed worked as well, people usually think it does not make sense for the white wakers to get in the water, however, it's not crazy to think the night king sent some of them to only put the chains with no care of losing those soldiers, he has thousands more, also, the chains can come from the giants.... it makes sense to me at least.
uncle benjin couldnt get pass the wall anyways so he chose to try hold them off as much to let jon get a swift escape
End of episode 5 is a call back to The Magnificent Seven movie . Nostalgia for GRRM's generation.
‘You need to take your enemies side to anticipate their actions’ also if you had say a master spy on your side who for instance should probably have known a large Lannister army had mobilised and marched on Highgarden, that information probably would have helped!
my theory for this episode to make more sense is:
the night king is also a greenseer (like bran or jojen, he has these kind of visions) & knew that a dragon would be there and stayed to get him (because he might come in handy in the future). otherwise it wouldn't really have made sense for him to stop his entire army & wait to get to a handful of people.
The plot armor is strong this season
Now I have a Dragon. Ho Ho Ho
I keep hoping you guys will watch the Coldplay GoT musical!! 🎵 ❤
The Night King actor does the real stunts and is an actual stunt double
it makes me mad when they say that dany wasn’t born in westeros because she literally was!! dragonstone is in westeros. barely a day journey from there to kings landing 😂
1:10:38 absolute god level reference by ms October 😂😂
Arya wants to say something to Sansa with the dagger.... Prodigious Mr October
Mr October is wearing some hoochie daddy short today 😂😂😂
Doesn’t seem likely when they have so many eyes all over Westeros
@@wildtime845 Agreed, but you would think if Jaime realized, he wouldn't be as upset. I mean surely after what he had done to Tysha, to be sleeping with whores himself, would make Jaime think differently about his father, his father's death, and Tyrion's hand in it.
I don't think Jaime would see it as any kind of justification for patricide.
I’m just here to watch the reaction. I’m not here to tell them whether or not they should like or dislike the rest of the show.
❤❤❤Octobers!
I'm very excited to see how you both view season 8. Alot of peoples dont like it. I think it all ends as it should have. It has the 2 best episodes of the run The Longest Night and The Bells. It is what is it is. You love it or hate it. Just waiting for your reaction.
Mrs. October doesn't remember Titanic? I know your next movie reaction! 👀
@33:10 "So what are they going to do? Just hop out the bushes and grab one?"
My friend said something just like this to me the day after this episode aired. It was so stupid what they were doing and you had one of the smartest characters in the show recommending this course of action because the writing was down the tubes at this point.
Gendry is a true Baratheon. Like his father, he prefers a battle axe. 💚
Okay, war hammer. But still.... 😂
yes, arya would've been fighting more than sansa if she had been in her position. and I'm pretty sure she would've gotten herself killed that way. fighting and surviving aren't always the same thing. and both are equally valid options to choose.
Here we go. We're about to get deeep.
Someone's pulling weight for Hair points Lolll
You guys are the best. Love all your reactions!
In season 7 there are teleportations, giant and intelligent chains, and a trip that if you wait for a person to die on the Wall and wait for him to revive, there was no need to go Beyond, but in any case everything could be forgiven, in the eighth season there are very good things but I am unable to see the last episode, I will try to be with you more or less until 8x03, 8x04 at most For me it is the Best Serie of all time but whose ending should not be remembered
Mr & Mrs Octubers It has been a pleasure to travel this entire path and what remains for us.. Muchas Gracias
A song of Ice and Fire, a song of Stark and Targaryen...Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen
Loving Miss October's hair!!
