I'm looking at getting a mk3 this year, keeping my eyes peeled for a nice artic edition, they seem to be hard to come by those artic edition 09 corsa vxr now
I have one a vxracing edition and I m in my 50’s and with full leather and heated seats cruise control make for a great experience and it still is a blast with the foot flat to the floor and even now when you see one they just look the part
I think they will go up in value as people will remember having this generation corsa as there 1st car in the future. Corsa d limited edition was my 1st car i also had a red corsa vxr. Corsa vxr is a very fun car to drive its got a good balance of handling and speed and the brembo brakes are fantastic. Only bit that letted it down was the reliability and the fact they get abused sometimes.
I have one that’s been sat in a barn for years. I built a forged engine, fitted lots of fancy parts and then went off the boil and never even got it ran in. I washed off the dust last week and it’s in for MOT Monday. And I’m actually quite excited about it! 💥 💨
Just bought one to stick in a garage and moth ball. I'm with you, they are going to fly up in price. I think a good unmolested low mileage Mini R53 Cooper S will also be next as well, get one while you can.
I've owned my Corsa OPC now for almost 5 years, and I've had minor issues with it. But it was mostly wear and tear/maintenance that was needed. To be honest, it's such an awesome and fun car. It always got me smiling, and it only makes 165kw & 350nm.
I’m so glad you made this video,I bought a 13 plate vxr a year ago,and the exact comment I made to my wife was ,this car reminds me of my Renault 5 gt turbo!!I told her a mint one of these will be worth a fortune in years to come,my biggest regret was selling my Renault 5,I’m not making same mistake
I wouldn't doubt they will be valuable in years to come. Much the same as every other hot hatch. Good or not, there will be people who either had one and want to relive their youth or people who couldn't afford / insure one and now can.
I've had the nurburgring for 7 years now and apart from a few coil packs and general maintenance I can't really fault it. Its on 120+ thousand miles now
Got a 14 plate arden stage 2 forged.... i love it to bits... my mechanic is always tryna convince me to get a bmw but this car has my heart. Soon gonna buy a cla45s and you better believe im keeping this toy
I completely agree with you. They're great cars. I had a blue 2010. I had the Engine and gearbox replaced under warranty and after that it was faultless. Awesome car and Very fun to drive. They'll definitely make a great classic one day.
I have a very similar car to this same running gear apart from the remap it's a corsa d 1.6 turbo about 148ish bhp love it to bits. Best car I've had in my opinion and I've had 2.
I bought a Vxr arctic edition brand new ex demo actually loved it my piston 4 went got fixed under warranty thing they need to be forged to be reliable
Ive got a corsa vxr Nurburgring edition and love it mate and your right I’ve said it all along they will one day be worth big money just like sierra cosworths are today that’s my comparison
2007 arden blue 70k owned for 10 years. Known as the blue gnome because its sat on my drive for 2 years and not moved. 1 day it may be worth a bit but doubtful these ever will be worth much.
I must admit I agree to a point, they will be a classic but not for a few years. I think with the amount that are getting broken for parts and the amount of high mileage examples, a decent one with low miles will be worth a fair bit. Maybe not as much as the focus rs mk1 as there a lot more common then the corsa d vxr. I think eventually though they will be really in demand for decent examples, yeah they have there problems but for what they are there cheap to fix and overcome and if you look after them they don’t happen over again, for a engine forge and a gearbox upgrade you’d get change from £2500. I also think for the sound and fun you get out of them when they are modified it’s worth every penny, I loved mine but now I’ve got the Astra vxr and I think I deffo prefer that but I think the styling on the corsa and the interior is miles ahead. Also I think the special editions such as the nurbering, artic and vxr racing, the last two in particular will be worth keeping hold off.
I've got 3 corsa vxr and am astra 13' nurburgring chilli orange (bought last Nov) 14' clubsport astroid grey (bought 2019 and has 9k miles currently) 60' astra arctic (bought 2017 as my first vxr and fast car period) 68' red e vxr (bought in 2020 purely because it's a 68 reg and it's done 20k miles now) They're super under appreciated and better than a fiesta st all day for me no doubt!
I'm with you Jamie. Vauxhall get unfair press ? They never claim to compete with Focus RS/BMW i30/Audi S3 etc. Are they good... yes. Can they be criticised...yes...BUT....it would easily beat a Clio 197.....because I've done it. Never had a problem with it in 9 years....6.7 seconds to 60mph, 202bhp, above 140mph on a track and great acceleration and cornering. My ClubSport, has a mechanical LSD + Bilstein Susp + Brembo brakes + Remus stainless twin pipe exhaust ! Service it to avoid P4 issue. Two big advantages are... cost...and easily tuned and re-mapped, although advise a forge. Then you got a powerful hot hatch,. .
Sorry I owned one of these new in 2012 worst car I ever owned.. constantly leaked coolant round the thermostat and oil leaking out of the clutch housing engine main seal. Then piston 2 melted vauxhall tried to say it'd been tuned. Absolutely had not when they eventually put a new engine in it I got rid of it sharpish only had it 2 years
VXR peaked 3 years ago, in 10-15 years there will be a middle aged, never did much, guy thinking back to 2006-2012 and he will never have quite enough for an RS he always wanted but he will have just enough to get a poorly kept VXR and he will love every shaky bolt and road noise headache he gets. We keep a 5 car garage on private land up here in Scotland and we do have a 2008 vxr, 2009 RS (lime of all colours) and a 2010 Renault Clio 2.0 (this was a piss take) all as a bit of bet that grew legs to see what sucker would buy these as "collectors cars" that I refer to as the cycle of midlife crisis (digging for that ole child hood back when times were good ay lol.) Well we maintain them and give them a run in weekly with none over 1k miles on the clock and all with boots full of gaskets and crucial bits that will need doin in a decade. The Focus has already blown our minds as far as value, the VXR seemed to really peak in 2020/21 and the clio 200 was a nonstarter. My favourite of the bunch is the VXR. As we purchased these for our son as "future investment" knowing 1 of the 3 would just get stupid money like the tired old cos has, I wanted 1 to play with. In 2012 I grabbed a little corsa D and popped a vxr body kit on, loads of Stinger deadening roll so I could hear myself think and a few other mods like the flat spotted steering wheel, 16" alloys and drove the absolute life out of it. What a blast to drive in twisty wet Scottish highland roads. If I find a decent example I can tear the piss out of for nearly no cost I will buy another. It is a belter and the control and steering are second to none for such a tiny shitbox.
My 61 plate Corsa vxr is a fucking riot when its warmed up properly. It ows me 11000 and costs me coin every week mending it but I wouldn't change it for the world.
Had a 14 plate Corsa VXR, 1 previous owner, 27k miles FSH. Had it for 5 years nearly, the 4th piston blew its head off :) Don't get one, get a Ford ST-3 instead.
As much as I like OG, don’t bother with LLF much now, they went in a totally different direction. OG rarely reviews cars and concentrated on builds and letting others do the drag racing and Ricky just does cars that are so out of my range I lost interest. FYD is always comparable to Lee Lockwood.
Here come all the badge snobs. It’s funny how every generation of Corsa performance models have gone up in value from the Corsa A (Nova) to the Corsa B GSI 16V and even a low mileage 1.8 SRI Corsa C fetched decent money
I have a Vauxhall Corsa Vxr Nurburgring edition and I love it to bits and the faults they have will never make me get rid of her
I'm looking at getting a mk3 this year, keeping my eyes peeled for a nice artic edition, they seem to be hard to come by those artic edition 09 corsa vxr now
Hopefully getting one in green tomorrow, currently have the 1.4 sxi SE so a well overdue upgrade fingers crossed
I've got a 63 plate nurburgring corsa. Absolutely love it. Never had a problem with it, regularly servicing them is the key in opinion.
I have one a vxracing edition and I m in my 50’s and with full leather and heated seats cruise control make for a great experience and it still is a blast with the foot flat to the floor and even now when you see one they just look the part
I have number 208.
Mine is 10
@@nikbidwell3598 Number 4 is for sale if it doesn't go quickly he's going to break it😵
I ignored all the stigma that these got and always loved them I finally purchased one and love it!
Arden blue vxr owner since 2016, servicing keeps it perfect! Fun cars!

I agree totally, always wanted one but was too much money. Got a 16 plate one now, had no issues after 3yrs of ownership so not all bad 😅
I have one that’s been sat in a barn for years. I built a forged engine, fitted lots of fancy parts and then went off the boil and never even got it ran in.
I washed off the dust last week and it’s in for MOT Monday. And I’m actually quite excited about it! 💥 💨
How did it go buddy
Just bought one to stick in a garage and moth ball. I'm with you, they are going to fly up in price. I think a good unmolested low mileage Mini R53 Cooper S will also be next as well, get one while you can.

I test drove one from Vauxhall 10 year ago and I couldn't get insured at the time but at that time would have been awesome to own
I wouldn't doubt they will be valuable in years to come. Much the same as every other hot hatch. Good or not, there will be people who either had one and want to relive their youth or people who couldn't afford / insure one and now can.

I think they are good cars for how cheep they are. I'd love one!
2:27 average m32 gearbox experience
Hi Jamie, Here in South Africa these cars would be could the Opel Corsa OPC . Awesome video as usual bro.
I had 2008 corsa vxr best car I've ever had so much fun
Ive got a corsa vxr Nurburgring edition and love it mate and your right I’ve said it all along they will one day be worth big money just like sierra cosworths are today that’s my comparison

I'm just doing a rebuild on my vxr nurburgring forged engine rebuild
Got a corsa e vxr. Twin exhaust, revised dash. Standard corsa mirrors. Hopefully one day be sought after?
Would love one as my main car and drive my other Astra j VXR on weekends.
I must admit I agree to a point, they will be a classic but not for a few years.

ive just bought one yesterday for 1700 quid with 38k on the clock, there are few issues but i plan on selling for a profit
Love how much you love it lol I'm on my second one, first was a blue 2008 and my current one is a 2012 red
Should done british racing green instead of artic or royal purple .... go kart handling drop 30 mm

I've got 3 corsa vxr and am astra
13' nurburgring chilli orange (bought last Nov)

PD130 😏
I love my vxr puts a smile on your face ❤️❤️🔥

I have a 2013 vxr nurburgring and I want to keep it forever 😂
VXR peaked 3 years ago, in 10-15 years there will be a middle aged, never did much, guy thinking back to 2006-2012 and he will never have quite enough for an RS he always wanted but he will have just enough to get a poorly kept VXR and he will love every shaky bolt and road noise headache he gets.

In time this will be in the nova price bracket
Awesome motor buddy
Do a vid with how many Mcdonalds Drive-Thru you can visit in 24 hours😂
I’d love a clubsport, only £8k. Nice cars, I just like the look of the corsa d. Shame about the reliability issues.. A lot of car 4 the money.👍
Paid 10k for my clubsport on 9k miles😂😂 still on 9k miles 5 years later
My 61 plate Corsa vxr is a fucking riot when its warmed up properly. It ows me 11000 and costs me coin every week mending it but I wouldn't change it for the world.
Be a while before they are theres 100s left. Maybe in 5-10 years time
Had a 14 plate Corsa VXR, 1 previous owner, 27k miles FSH.
Had it for 5 years nearly, the 4th piston blew its head off :)
Don't get one, get a Ford ST-3 instead.
Totally agree with you mate 👍
The gearbox just needs to be rebuilt correctly, few people can shim them up correctly it appears.
But they wont get expensive though. Theres nothing about it thats special with many better alternatives out there
The expensive ones will be the limited editions and low milers. They deserve to be as valuable or more valuable than a shitty fiesta
I'd like to say a well tuned vxr will hold its value to the right buyer.
You would be better buying all the vxr gearboxes you can buy
I got a 1.4 opc line and I love that car 😊
Why his channel not grown over the years it’s not kept up with LLF and gassed
As much as I like OG, don’t bother with LLF much now, they went in a totally different direction. OG rarely reviews cars and concentrated on builds and letting others do the drag racing and Ricky just does cars that are so out of my range I lost interest. FYD is always comparable to Lee Lockwood.
I dont want to spend 200times the car price for repair, i will stay with honda.

There shite 😂😂
Here’s why we shouldn’t listen to you!! 😂😂😂😂
absolute chocolate these things 😂😂😂😂😂
I've got 3 corsa vxr and all 3 are spot on, only one needing minor things here and there istl the burg being my daily
🤣🤣 you should never buy one!
