Thank you for showing how to make the red zinger! Love the sailboat. You are so productive..I am a procrastinator. I am so proud of myself when I actually keepup with a SAL. It is the little things that make you happy. Completed project and grandchild's smile and hug among them.
Norm and Nanette are having great adventures! My favorite was always the white bunnies at Easter too! I would swap with my sisters if they were willing. yum
I have never Crosstitch before! However the autumn love makes me want to learn the Crosstitch it is beautiful. Fall is my favorite time of the year! This would make a perfect wall hanging in my hands
Hi Pat, I have to tell you I love your tidy up challenges. I may not do it on the day but you stay in my head. When I in my sewing room I’ll do the challenge. Last time I started by vacuuming and cleaned my room and what a feeling going into a clean sewing room. Thank you
So many positives you bring us! 😀 Elephant 🐘 😍 ❤, White chocolate day! When you were holding up the white thread I thought it was white chocolate hahaha 😆! Uncle Jim, the family is growing. Tfs
"That" uncle in our family had an article written about him in the nation's arguably biggest tabloid. The article was zany, laughable, unimaginable, and 100% true.
I started quilting with you on the "Home Is" sal and had seen pictures of the my Neighbor quilts on your web site. It was the first quilt that I said that I Must Do. When time came for you to pick up and do this again, I was in the middle of doing 2 Christmas quilts for gifts. l will do this quilt. Hopefully after the new year. Already have the bin of fabrics. Thank you for all you do. I'd love to do the Autumn cross stitch, I love it. But....I think it would take me 2 years to complete it.
Has arm surgery today and when I get better I want to do one of your free patterns. I love the sail boat and the bird pattern. So I’ll get that boat pattern printed out. Thank you Pat for so much. I did my clean up challenge before my surgery. Love white chocolate in cookies!
Hi, Happy Fall! I have a always loved polka dots but been very reserved with using them in my qui Ltd. I love how you use all the dots! They make a quilt happy. Norm and Nanette are really getting around! :-) Hope you get to enjoy this first day of Fall. Happy sewing
And, Pat. Thank you for the Red Zinger quilt! I’ve always saved my selvages but I store my quilts rolled up like sleeping bags and use the selvages to tie them. I’ve very excited now to have a new way to use them! And they are a memory of the quilts you have made as time passes if you use only your own. Again, thank you!
Loved seeing the sewing on the Red Zinger block. I’ve been thinking it would also make a great jacket or tote bag, for those of us with fewer selveges in our baskets.
Was at Whale of a Tail Quilt show in Ocean Shores, WA last friday... and there was a Red Zinger in there. : ) And White Chocolate is my fav. chocolate as well. LOL
Thanks for sharing the zinger sewing, my Girlfriend uses a narrow zig zag instead of a top stitch... (She said, "The first one is like raw edge applique, so I treat it like applique.")
Cute cute sail boat. I am just starting Will You Be My Neighbor. Mine will be red, white and blue. A late start but oh well. Better late then never. Right ?
Question Pat. I still have 4 charm packs of Sunday Drive. Would you sell me a few yards of the aqua fabric that you used in the sail boat block? I want to make a quilt with the charm packs but no matching larger pieces of the same line.
wonderful! I have a whole page for you and the Fat Quarter Shop did a Cross Stitch University . go to www.ilovetomakequilts.com/cross-stitch-sew-alongs.html
The house next door owns the boat. Thus, the peppermint flag. 😀
With the peppermint flag, it suggests the boat belongs to the house next door. It just continues the story!
I love how you wore a B&W polka dotted shirt while talking about Be My Neighbor, with the polka dot roofs. 🥰
I always have my cross stitch pattern enlarged. At least doubled. It’s so much easier on my eyes.
great tip!

that's fun!
My eyes prefer 14 count when I work cross stitch. Tend to transfer all my patterns to a 14 count cloth.
I just love those those polka dots! I need to go shopping for dots 😊
I bet norm and Nanette will soon have some little charms
I had an uncle Jim, as a kid I always thought he looked like John Wayne🤣

Love white chocolate too!
Thanks for demonstration! Always good to see a technique . I decided to make my zinger in black.
I’m just curious, how do you go about designing fabric? I think that would be interesting to see a video on that.
Good morning. An I’m with you. White chocolate is my favorite also

Also, I travel and that sunflower bag would be great for packing items in my suitcase to help segregate clothing.
Thanks for the sample idea for me yay.

Love the bags for traveling with projects.

Love your quilts and ideas. I would love to know the name of the star quilt behind your right shoulder?
Thank you Priscilla! It is Liberty Hill done in Red. Find it in shrsl.com/2yuec

Hi Judy! I do not have a few yards of that. I only have that one piece left. Maybe you can find yardage on Etsy or Ebay
I’d love to start cross stitching. What’s a pattern/kit I should get from fat quarter shop for beginners. Thanks in advance
wonderful! I have a whole page for you and the Fat Quarter Shop did a Cross Stitch University . go to www.ilovetomakequilts.com/cross-stitch-sew-alongs.html
I just can't use pattern material in my quilts. Mostly solids.
Where do you get those signs on those boxes?
I'm not sure what sign you mean Kristy, email me a screen shot to pat@patsloan.com
@@PatSloan I emailed you.
Is it a grey background being used for the neighbor blocks, can anyone tell me?
it is not gray, it is a VERY tiny dot close together
