  • Join us for a whole month in South Africa's Kruger National Park as we travel from the south to the far north and back again staying at ten different rest camps. Stunning scenery, amazing animals, beautiful birds and excellent accomodation, the Kruger has it all.
This episode features our drives from Talamati Bushweld Camp.

Cannot wait for the next episode - enjoyed all 9 a lot. Very well filmed and edited - it is a real, pleasure to watch. Hopefully a lot more to come or we start all over from episode 1. It’s great to drive virtually in the Kruger especially with this cold weather. Thanks again

Many thanks for you kind words, they are much appreciated. Four more to come after this one but putting these videos together has made me long to get back to the Kruger again so we have booked again for February. Never been at that time of the year so maybe Season 2 will be a little different! Glad you have enjoyed them all so far.

@@oldcodgerwithacamera Episode 10is on the menu for today at aperitif time, looking forward already. Happy to hear there are still 4 more to come, that is good news. But i see what you mean editing all the footage is time consuming, but the result is top notch. I was just wondering do you use a fixed actioncamera in the car ? I would like to know as i'am really impressed with the quality of the images. We have been to the Kruger in Feb/March before, it is still very hot, but good for sightings. Also May is a very good month, less people, cheaper and blue skies.... Thanks for sharing regards from Brussels

I used a GoPro Hero 5 mounted on the windscreen, quality on that can be a bit hit and miss, I think the later ones are better or the DJI Osmo Action. For talking to camera and some side shots I used a DJI Pocket 2 and for the wildlife video a Canon M50 with a 50-200mm lens. Finally for still photography I use a Canon 7D Mk II with a Sigma 150-600mm lens. A lot of gear but acquired over many years!

Dreading the day when it will be over but we do hope you will continue these posts of future travels. We are very looking forward to our trip next feb/march. Kind regards Viviane

@@oldcodgerwithacamera We just visited the Kruger, and its a bit of a nightmare with floods at the moment. Just be careful when you are visiting and check Sanparks' website regularly!

Love the videos, not a lot of talking and more about the animals, surroundings, etc.
