  • Join us for a whole month in South Africa's Kruger National Park as we travel from the south to the far north and back again staying at ten different rest camps. Stunning scenery, amazing animals, beautiful birds and excellent accomodation, the Kruger has it all.
This episode features our drives from Shingwedzi Rest Camp.

The wildlife is a bonus, just being in Kruger Park is relaxing and worthwhile.

Am hugely loving this series of your Kruger adventure. Its as though we are on safari with you, enjoying all the drives, the scenery and wildlife. Love your music, your simple narrations and all. A superb series!! Thank you

Many thanks for your kind words. I wanted the scenery and wildlife to speak for themselves and not spoil it with unnecessary yapping. I was very pleased with the music but it took a long, long, time to find the right pieces! So glad you appreciated it.

Another great episode. I love your channel. Nice balance of narration and letting the scenery speak for itself.

Really appreciate your comment. That balance is exactly what I try to achieve and hopefully give a balanced view of what it's like on a Kruger safari rather than pretend there are animals round every corner. Thanks again.

Lovely music on the scenery and hadn,'t had the change to visit Kruger park. Instead did Zimbawe parcs many times. We stayed there for 4 years for my husbands job. Realy specta ular natur and Wildlife.

Game viewing is a matter of luck. We had four quiet days in a row around Shingwedzi, but on our final day we came across a lion kill next to Babalala in the morning and three cheetahs at Kanniedood Hide in the afternoon. The following day, we watched them having breakfast, but unfortuantely missed the kill by minutes.

Yep, lots of luck involved. We had a similar experience in the follow up series to this one when we came across a lion kill near Olifants and weent back the next day.

Shingewdzi is the best camp...too bad for me I'm from a town called Thohoyandou Wich is up north through punda gate, so I prefer the southern camps for the predators

Not too bad for you if you are that close! Think if you had to come all the way from the UK like us! 😀

Great, thanks for sharing. We are here in Clarens, just catching up before our flight home tomorrow evening. Makes me think on our return trip to the Kruger, we need to explore the north a bit.

Many thanks, it looks like you had a great time from your posts. The north is a different experience especially if you want to stay away from the traffic james!

@@oldcodgerwithacamera, oh my, it was a trip and a half, especially Kruger of course. Back home freezing our 'arses'' off now. I might want to pick your brains at some point about potentially doing three weeks in the Kruger from north to south next year. Would you mind if we got in touch at some point with an itinerary suggestion? Many thanks 😊
