I don’t mean to double comment you but I wanted to say. A few years ago, I knew nothing about bushcraft and the basic nuances of survival. Watching your videos has proved quite fruitful. I’ve even gotten my girlfriend to watch them with me because, according to her, you’re not condescending or depicting a know it all disposition. I’ve learned so many practical use techniques to employ on camping trips and the like. I just wanted to say thanks because your knowledge has empowered me. Thanks again, Lonnie. You’re a true gentleman with integrity (and bushcraft skills) 😎🥂
I had to get one. Just love it for winter camping. Thank you Lonnie and Connie for another great video. I've been a big fan of you both and Lars from Survival Russia.
I'm still amazed when I come across a video I've never seen. Again, I know I've seen a video of yours because I give it a like before it even starts. Thank you!
Спасибо отлично! Whenever, you or Mike Barton do a review I'll listen. Through the years, I've learned so much from you both, that when a product is available that come along, it's well worth the time. This particular system, in my opinion, is one of the most versatile and time saving pieces of kit to come along for some time. I have to admit, the designers of this system covered just about everything. Thank you and Mrs. Far Northwest for featuring this product for review; and to our Russian friends for offering the opportunity for you try it. God bless!
Aside from all the zippers, hooks and other conveniences it has, the camouflage coloring is my favorite aspect of it. I still have my green 12x12 Coleman tent and love it. The last time I used it was about 12 years ago in a Florida campground. I was surrounded by neon colored tents that looked more like a human habiitrail with tunnels going from one bubble to another
Yup , best day tent around. Beats a wall tent anyday 👌 I bought mine when I first saw Survival Russia set it up at his homestead. I have the Up-2 tent with 2 large cots , insulated floor and stove. All shipped door to door for $1500 from Siberia Russia. Its 11.5 feet across at bottom. Can't say enough about this 2 liner tent. Comes with so much on the inside. Love it , Love it , Love it 👌👍👍👍👍 can be used as a sauna too 😄
@@richardpearce2186 don't get me wrong , Wall Tents are great , just more expensive , harder to set up , and very heavy. I guess I should rephrase my "opinion" , because if I were younger and lived in Maine or Canada 🇨🇦 , I would have a Wall Tent set up for the entire winter. So I only say its better because of ease of set up. I paid $1500.00 for UP-2 Tent 11.6 feet in diameter , two large cots , insulated floor and stove. Its double lined too.
@Richard Pearce I have owned so many tents that I do not know how many. I currently have probably at least a dozen. I had "Alaska Tent And Tarp" in Anchorage Alaska make me a custom made top of the line traditional canvas wall tent. It was 12 X 14 feet with 4 foot sidewalls, stove jack and sod cloth. It was a heavy grade of canvas. Top quality all the way. I ended up selling it. It weighed 80 pounds for just the tent alone, was difficult and VERY time consuming to set up since I did the set up the traditional way and had to go out each time I set it up to find appropriate spruce poles for the frame before I could erect the tent. A lot of times I was tired and just wanted to get the tent set up and get the stove going ASAP. It required a large stove to keep it warm. I had a barrel stove kit on a 30 gallon barrel for my stove. That stove really was not quite big enough and I should have had a 55 gallon barrel stove for the very cold weather. As I said, I ended up selling it because it just was not very practical for me. I now have both the UP2 as well as the UP5 with insulated floors and appropriate stoves for each. I just had my UP5 out this past week and it sure was comfortable. My UP5 only takes me about 15 minutes to set up by myself and I'm ready to insert the stove and start making the tent warm and comfortable. The UP5 takes me that long because I stake it out first before erecting in order to enable me to erect by myself. The UP2 takes even less time since I do not need to stake it out before erecting. I had the UP2 out last winter at 16 degrees below zero Fahrenheit and Connie and I were very comfortable inside in our shirt sleeves and with out outside clothing. I am sure that the UP5 with the large Caminus stove that i have for it will be just as warm and comfortable in extreme cold though I have only had it out in about 15 degrees above zero so far. So for me personally, I would take these UP series tents over the traditional canvas wall tent any day. The wall tents are definitely tried and proven over generations to be very capable tents. However these UP series tents exceed them in cold weather comfort, ease of set up, as well as weight especially when one considers the size and weight of the stoves needed to comfortably heat each. Wall tents can be made to be more comfortable as someone commented above. One can add tarps to the wall tents to give them a second layer that will improve insulative qualities as well as add insulated flooring such as several layers of tarps etc. The UP series tents already have those additions built in to the existing tent or as an accessory such as in the case of the insulated floor.
I have watched a lot of Bushcraft vedios. This is the best Tent I have ever seen. The makers of this tent know what Is needed in a tent.I don't know how much it cost but it Is worth every penny . Well done to the manufacturer!
I've been watching your videos for a while. As someone who grew up hunting and camping in the woods of Vermont and knows a thing or two about wilderness survival, you are the ultimate survivalist. I even watch your videos on things I already know how to do, simply because you often have discovered a few little tricks I haven't yet. You've taught me so much, I love how careful you are to make sure everything is shown and explained clearly. The review was little off your style, but I enjoyed it a lot. It makes me wish I could afford this awesome tent lol. Keep up the great videos, my friend. A few of your techniques have already helped me stay warm when I lost track of time on a hunting trip and ended up having to camp out for the night. I used the fire reflector design you've shown in your videos to heat a tarp shelter (also designed after one of yours, with a few tweaks), and I was nice and toasty all night.
That is a excellent sporting tent for camping, ice fishing, hunting for 3 day trips or longer hunts! I’m glad you, and Connie have this beautiful tent set-up to enjoy in your later year’s!
That tent is amazing. Its incredible to see how far the technology has come since I slept under a canvas scout tent with wooden poles as thick as a man's arm.
This was a thorough great instructional/review! I totally love the set up you have specifically! This is a must have for us...just as you demonstrated. If YOU make a review of anything...it's got to be good! I appreciate you and Connie!

Even the bag engineering by the zippers going all the way to bottom of the bag shows the thought and attention to the engineering in this awesome product. It's often the little things I find in my gear that determine how well made something is. Thanks Lonnie and enjoy living large in your camo castle👍
Cool tent! You might want to get a portable carbon monoxide detector for the tent. They can be clipped to a sleeping bag or worn around your neck. The one I’ve used in my job is smaller than a cellphone and weighs 4 ounces. There are even smaller ones that you can use as a key fob.
No expense spared. Very nice. High quality. No wonder you jumped right on that and shared it with us. The boys in Russia did some fine work on this. I imagine I'd have to sell my house to purchase this tent, but It would be worth every penny. Thanks for a solid review video. Tell Connie I say thanks for her usual great camera work, I think I don't express my appreciation for her enough for her part in this great channel. While I'm at it, in a long distance kind of way, I love you both, Phresh. Catch you next time.

I have always liked seeing the differences in designs between different countries. That thing is well designed and the fact it's taller than you, other than the stove has got to be my favorite feature.
Good to see Connie, too! Nice review, sir ... I can see why you were happy to do it. Very nice 4 season shelter system and reasonably priced. Now that I have my tent stove, this seems to be a good option. Thanks to you both for another great video! God Bless
This is an amazing and infinitely versatile tent. I hope whoever designed it has been properly rewarded and compensated, because it appears they thought of everything! Thank you, Lonnie for a very detailed, thorough review. You did a stellar job and I really enjoyed this video! 👍👍👍👍
Beautifully explained and demonstrated. Well done! Great bit of kit, well thought out and with two layers, I guess in summer months if needed, you could peel off the outer layer, and do away with the insulated ground cover.
I know Lars from Survival Russia loves these tents. I suspect you may have seen that. I know he follows your channel, and I thought I had seen you comment on his videos before.
Thank you. I've had it with being cold and uncomfortable when camping. Due to injuries, my back packing days are over so I instead of carrying everything on my back, I carry it in my truck. This will be my next tent.
That is one heck of a tent Lonnie! A tent inside a tent ! Air is the best insulator! That thing is made to stay somewhere a while. What a great base camp that would be. The window is a nice touch! One of the best tents I have seen, very well thought out and good quality materials. The Stove is nice too, and though I understand the engineering behind it, I still can’t get used to the pipe being at the front of the stove, but that’s just me, it still is a well designed stove and I like the heat shields.

Amazing tent. I think it's pretty difficult for most to understand the winter conditions at our latitudes. Shelter is absolutely critical for the outdoors. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to the next one.
Thanks for the review.its hard to find out how real these tents are.when I was younger I lived in a teepee at 11.500ft.had a double wall.very comfortable.even threw the storms.glad to see this in a tent.
This is a nice setup. I have the NorTent Gamme 4 and Medium Nomad Stove, but I might have to look into this for my yard. Seems a little difficult to move, that's really what attracted me to the Gamme, is that it wasn't crazy heavy for a hot tent.
I was on the fence about this tent until I saw this review. I had seen a few others, but this one was the most thorough. I am getting this one for sure.
I hope to be camping in my UP5 version of this tent in about a month and looking forward to it. I think you will enjoy yours as I know I sure do. I have many winter camping tents but the UP2 & UP5 are my favorites for comfort when it is really cold. Nothing else will keep me as warm and comfortable in below 0 Fahrenheit cold.
I really enjoy your videos. I'm always fascinated how you build your shelters, and how you keep warm in the winter. Unfortunately my health won't let me do that, but I'm fascinated watching your videos.
Gentleman done a wonderful job showing how to set this turn up the right way and it looks like a very good tent and I myself am going to purchase one thank you for such a great video it definitely helped sell this tent
They also make an Arctic cover for these tents so that they would have three layers. That should keep the heated tent warm regardless of how cold the temps get. The tent as is is easy to keep quite toasty in quite cold weather. So far we have had our UP-2 down to 16 degrees Fahrenheit below zero and were very comfy. I imagine however that your weather there (Interior) would get considerably colder in outside temperatures.
Wow. That is almost a motel. Nice. Thank you for being so thorough on covering it's function and features and being honest in your opinion. Can't wait for part 2. That stove looks awesome.
This was yet another excellent video. I know you rarely do reviews but I'm glad you did this one because I have seriously been wanting to buy a nice tent and this one was on the top of my list. It's just unfortunate at the time I'm watching this, they are currently out of stock. But this video you made provided the last bits of information I needed to know this was the tent I want and need. Thank you sir!
What a well thought out tent! They really thought of everything. You did an "awesome" job of showing all the features Lonnie. I wonder if Lars will watch and comment on this???? Lars are you watching????
Lars was riding the Trans-Siberian rail as of yesterday. I don't think he'll be commenting for a while. If I understood correctly, he had to go back to Denmark to handle some bureaucratic matter.

This is a nice setup. I have the NorTent Gamme 4 and Medium Nomad Stove, but I might have to look into this for my yard. Seems a little difficult to move, that's really what attracted me to the Gamme, is that it wasn't crazy heavy for a hot tent.
Hello Lonnie!
Great video. Thank you for cooperation :) Alaska is an amazing place.
I was on the fence about this tent until I saw this review. I had seen a few others, but this one was the most thorough. I am getting this one for sure.
Because of your review I bought this tent and stove. When you speak I listen. Albert Nipawin Saskatchewan
Nice demonstration o f the tent Lonnie. Well done! Great camera work Connie. God bless you for posting this.
I had seen that tent on a Russian survival TH-cam channel. Very cool
Lonnie that’s a sweet tent, thanks Dan
I really enjoy your videos. I'm always fascinated how you build your shelters, and how you keep warm in the winter. Unfortunately my health won't let me do that, but I'm fascinated watching your videos.
Great videos, you make it easy to follow. Thorough exsplanations of all of the important information!
Gentleman done a wonderful job showing how to set this turn up the right way and it looks like a very good tent and I myself am going to purchase one thank you for such a great video it definitely helped sell this tent
Thank you for the best detailed review of the tent!
Awesome tent. It’s heavy but I like it. También el hermoso paisaje .Saludos desde Puerto Rico.
Lonnie, that looks like a quality cozy set for sure. Nice review by the way.

Great setup there Lonnie and Connie ! Thanks for sharing!
This is the best, and most thorough product review I have seen! Great job! Ron Pullen
Million dollar voice! And you are super educator… THANKS FOR YOUR GREAT VIDS!👌👍😉
Thanks for YOUR time showing the Bereg UP-2. I've been looking for an upgrade such as this, thank you.
300k subs Lonnie! Congrats! Great video by the way always happy when one is coming!
Lonnie, you've probably forgotten what most bushcraft/survivalist know. Love your videos, thanks
Such a thorough step by step. Feel like I could set it up without instructions. OUTSTANDING PRESENTATION! Great camera work and editing! KUDOS!!!
Nice and comfy.. Living like a king out in the bush
Lonnie that looked like such a peaceful place, and might I say camping in style.
Awesome tent you have there! By the way, I lived in Alaska from 62 through 64 when my dad was stationed at Fort Greely. Experienced The Big One.
Lonnie, you and Connie are a huge inspiration. Great video
Now that's a well built tent!! Thanks for sharing Lonnie!
I have learned a lot from your winter setups. Thanks for the work you do.
We’re pondering one or two of these for work. Home base for us instructors on survival courses, ice rescue courses, etc.
I imagine however that your weather there (Interior) would get considerably colder in outside temperatures.
....Then theres the optional west wing, the powder room, the barn for the horses....WOW!! :)
Wow. That is almost a motel. Nice. Thank you for being so thorough on covering it's function and features and being honest in your opinion. Can't wait for part 2. That stove looks awesome.
Less roaches than in most motel rooms anyway
Trappers home throw on snowmobile sled if your out for a few days to a week no fear of 40-50 below. A life savor. Thanks that’s a great tent Michigan
Lonnie, what a good tent! And you are a fine teacher. Thank you for such a fine class. Texas
Great Tent !! one of the best I've seen 2 walls thick with air space love it fellow alaskain here
This was yet another excellent video.
AKTrapper Lars is the first channel I’ve seen this on. He’s cool. Lonnie is the knowledge king
@@lordmarshall5239 What are your credentials? You can talk?
Raven Feather explain yourself better.
Lars was riding the Trans-Siberian rail as of yesterday. I don't think he'll be commenting for a while. If I understood correctly, he had to go back to Denmark to handle some bureaucratic matter.
Raven Feather come on what you got? Don’t back out
Well designed.
Lots of good features.
Thanks for the review.
Kudos to L and C.
There is something to be said for a good idea and mass production. Nice! Thanks Chris
Pretty sweet tent! Thanks for the look inside.
Wish I had one of these in the boy scouts 60 years ago.Best wishes from the UK.
Excellent review. Thank you, Gandalf.
Lonnie and Connie, that is one fine looking tent , thanks for sharing, God bless !
Now that is fancy. Very thorough review Lonnie and Connie. Looking forward to seeing the next episode
Great presentation and review. Very thorough.
As always, an excellent presentation. Thank-you both very much.

@@sosteve9113 Hello my friend. It's always a pleasure to cross your path along the trail. I hope you and yours are well with this pestilence lurking about. My wife and I are hiding in the wine & beer cellar where all the "medicine" is. Be well and safe. 🤧😷
@@fredthorne9692 my good friend, always nice to hear from you,I'm just arrived home from a mission, and now there is some pandemic going on.
I told my wife this morning exactly the same thing,"good thing we have enough alcohol here".
Stay safe overthere and don't drink all that medicine at once.
I can tell how cold it is by the sound of the tent. Good job buddy.
It's good to see that you folks made it through the winter! Sure have missed your wise input and knowledge! God Bless you and the misses!
This tent is crazy! I’d love to have it!
Always good to see a new video from you. I hope you and your wife are doing well. God Bless.
Now that is a tent! I'm also loving your hat too.
