    Hello my name is Lonnie and My wife is Connie.
    Here at Far North Bushcraft And Survival you will learn about many long forgotten tricks and tips of the old time woodsmen. Not only will you learn about bushcraft / woodcraft but you will learn many things that will help you to survive in less than ideal "survival" situations as well. Come along and sit with me by the campfire as I delve into these subjects in a way that you can easily learn to then do yourself.
    I will show you how to make shelters, gather food, use wild medicines as well as start fires with or without matches, lighters, ferro rods, etc

    Only a suggestion, not sure about others, but I would love to hear how you and wife ended up in Alaska doing what you love. From when you were young to the present. To me that would be interesting.

    Thank you for brining me along. The first part of the video reminded me of the north country. When snow machines where smelly, noisy, unreliable and generally hated machines that have been shot and left to rot in the wilderness. That was 45 years back now. You and Connie have nice machines now.

Glad to see there are people out there who still appreciate a good western. They don't make them anymore. Food looked outstanding and even thou I don't need a small wood stove I like that one. I remember an old video of yours where you said it’s better to have a spark arrestor down by the stove than up high so the heat keeps it clean. Mine is with the damper is and it never is a problem. Many people have no problem with that design but they don’t live near you, everything changes in Alaska, it’s a whole different world there. Real cold is a game changer. Thanks for all your wisdom.

    • @Far-North-Bushcraft-Survival
      @Far-North-Bushcraft-Survival  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes I do like the either having the spark arrestor near the stove burn chamber or else a large on at the top. I have a homemade spark arrestor that works well on top but it is large so that as it gets plugged up, the flue gasses just go out the arrestor higher up. Either way can work well.

    What a fun video to watch. Thank you for an enjoyable time. You give great tips. Sure wish I could live in Alaska.
    I do not want to be a know-it-all, but I have a taco tip I learned. While living in Mexico, I learned that taco assembly is a bit simpler if you add the salsa, (and in this case), mayonnaise, first. It spreads well and the sauces flavor the entire taco evenly.
    God bless you and Connie for all you do to help us who live in the "outside".
