I agree, they are great tents, I now use the UP-5 8 person tent instead of the Hexagon, it is litterally the same interior dimension but much smaller packed away and lighter. www.offgridtrek.com/collections/4-season-tents-wood-stove/products/all-season-premium-outfitter-tent-with-stove-jack-up-5-comfort-for-3-8-people-free-shipping-no-us-sales-tax
Rene, Good demo video. This is Eric B. from Nevada, the guy that ordered your 220 watt solar blanket. STOVE HINT: To make your stove as efficient as possible, meaning not sucking warm air from the tent for combustion use the low little vent to run a small stove pipe to the back of your firebox. This brings cold combustion air into the stove from outside and leaves the warm air to stay inside your tent. Far more fuel efficient! Yeah, you will have to cut a small hole (say 1 1/2" to 2" diameter) in the back the firebox, rivet a female flange on the stove wall and run a section or two of 2" pipe through the little vent. It will need a two legged prop outside to hold the intake pipe off the ground. Keeping snow out would require a cap similar to your chimney cap and a removable stainless steel screen inside the stove end flange to keep ashes out of the pipe. This is why Scandinavian stoves like the JOTUL are so efficient. Plains Indians used a covered trench into their tepee to do the same thing.
You don't need to cut a hole in your stove. The basic idea you have is good, but don't overcomplicate it. It's actually beneficial if your stove is constantly drawing air from your space, as long as all its "exhalations" are going up the chimney, which they will, if it's drawing, and you will know if it's not drawing. (Use the flu damper sparingly, until you know what you're doing.) Sure. Have a pipe from the lower vent that terminates at the stove. Rather than a sealed air intake, I think just having the pipe terminate close to the back or underneath the stove will warm the incoming air, enough, so you don't ever feel a draft, and I think that's the real problem when people are heating with wood. It will improve the air circulation in the tent and One of the huge advantages of a wood stove is it's dry heat in more than one way. Any water it's putting out goes up the chimney, unlike those little buddy propane heaters that I don't trust, because their oxygen sensor freaks out at high altitude. When you NEED it, it won't work! You WANT your tent to breathe the air from the space. It's less about trapping air than it is about regulating the heat loss and humidity in the tent. You're getting way more heat from the fire than the air it's drawing into the tent is cooling the tent. You just need to make sure the incoming fresh air encounters a heat source before circulating in the tent. It will definitely draw cold air through that bottom vent of your tent. Most don't bother with it, I don't think. But yeah. A pipe to (under) the stove would force that fresh air to mix with the hot air underneath the stove, and probably warm you up, better, by circulating more air around the stove.

Thanks for this guy Richie, I'm in here. Great gear man. I love this tent they thought of everything. I need a good potable stove/heater that's a nice one here to.
I would recommend the UP-5 eight person tent it is the one I use and we get heavy winds as well, it is a better tent than the hexagon one. www.offgridtrek.com/collections/4-season-tents-wood-stove/products/all-season-premium-outfitter-tent-with-stove-jack-up-5-comfort-for-3-8-people-free-shipping-no-us-sales-tax
It is a great tent, I personally prefer the UP-5 8-person tent now being it is basically the same size set up however smaller when put away and lighter. www.offgridtrek.com/collections/4-season-tents-wood-stove/products/all-season-premium-outfitter-tent-with-stove-jack-up-5-comfort-for-3-8-people-free-shipping-no-us-sales-tax
You could, it has a good amount of space, I do prefer the UP-5 8 person tent myself, the hex tent can collapse under snow load the UP-5 does not have this issue and is lighter with pretty much the same space. www.offgridtrek.com/collections/4-season-tents-wood-stove/products/all-season-premium-outfitter-tent-with-stove-jack-up-5-comfort-for-3-8-people-free-shipping-no-us-sales-tax
I really like the Russian Bear Tents, just not the price but I guess it is worth it in the end…. This Hexagon one looks real easy to set up compared to others from the company that I have watched videos on… So plan on saving up to get one for myself… Even if it was just you in the tent, there would be room in there for all the gear that you bring with you. This way you don’t have to worry about critters getting into things or the weather ruining stuff…
It would be great if the floor was marked to show where to put the stove. Maybe when you get it all set up, put some Duct Tape on the floor to outline where to put that Mat you put the stove on. And here's a Hint... Hang a string about a metre long from the hole in the roof, so when you put the stove in place, you have a good idea of where to put it so the chimney is right below that string.
2-12-24 thank you thinking about this brand really like the over all use an setup..I am in TX this would be perfect for the lake in any season put on back of a kayak..can not wait toget one really like all the different styles.thank you again.
If you are wanting an 8 person tent the Up-5, may suit you more, it is litterally the same interior dimension but much smaller packed away and lighter, it is the one I use personally now. www.offgridtrek.com/collections/4-season-tents-wood-stove/products/all-season-premium-outfitter-tent-with-stove-jack-up-5-comfort-for-3-8-people-free-shipping-no-us-sales-tax
Have you used this in heavy snowfall? I've seen a video showing a collapsed roof from a few inches of heavy snow on top. I guess if it's snowing hard you could use a pole or straight branch to support the center if needed. Only comes with one window?
Good vid .but your well being on the tents they are all over you tube. I use one for over a year in the 🇬🇧 UK. The up3 . Amazing tents . You did the video well on the product. Look at a guy on TH-cam. ( survive Russia) he was the guy that got me into these products after I such for a hot tent to use in the uk . I would love to sell these to the UK market as I'm the only person I've seen using them fishing, but lots of guys ask me about them when it's cold with the stove going! And I use there log burner as well . Good video. Thanks
Want one bad. Can’t convince my wife that 3G’s is ok for tent. I’ve been in the 6 man with a stove while it snowed and it was cozy luxurious. Amazingly easy to make a comfortable cabin where you can play cribbage in a t-shirt anywhere you go in the dead of winter. And windows are a big thing when you consider how comfortable it will be to hang out in while it’s freezing outside. Total battery recharge for any winter activity.
Very impressive... A smaller stove would probably be more than adequate for that tent that man that is nice. I like the whole little patio thing that could be cool too 👍

Hi Eric, the tents to have an opening at the rear of where we place the firebox specific for this that works well for that reason, great point though
I absolutely love the tent and simplicity of it! The wood burner is the icing on the cake!!!! Awesome video!!!
wow so simple and easy, thanks who thought a tent could be so cosy.

Из говна наверное сделано! If they cant make a razor blade how they designed this tent.
You put eight people in there with all their gear, it will be too crowded. Two person tent is more like it.
I had 7 women in their and it wasn't crowded at all
