  • The cell phone changed our lives. The smart phone transformed them. The benefits of smart technology are that an emerging generation finds themselves at home with their portable devices. One of the price tags is it left us with diminishing social skills and emotional intelligence. We are “screenagers” who now must insert strength and conditioning exercises into our inward lives if we hope to sustain long-term relationships and emotional health. This session offers a path for such conditioning. Dr. Tim Elmore, President and Founder of Growing Leaders, is a best-selling author and international speaker. A world-renowned expert on Generation Y and Generation Z, Dr. Elmore uses his knowledge to equip educators, coaches, leaders, parents, and other adults to impart practical life and leadership skills to young adults that will help them navigate through life. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Tim on my podcast "Superpowers School" and it was one of the most humbling experiences. He also shared the story of how he got through this TEDx talk by looking for his number 1 supporter in the audience, his mum. Love this talk.
