"i dont want to destroy kerbin" *detonates enough nuclear warheads to make kerbin mostly uninhabitable due to radiation and nuclear winter, not to mention flinging rocks into space destroying most of not all orbital infrastructure* edit: at 25:09 i counted 24 rockets, each rocket has 18 bombs. if each bomb is the b-83 with a 1.3 megaton yield, that would be 549.9 megatons of tnt worth of nukes. and that is using one shot. he likely detonated MANY more. martin is a destroyer of worlds.

What I've learned that throughout history we've only used rocks and sticks to kill each other. At first it was very manual - then they were sharp and slung with mechanical energy - then we made them blunt again, but propelled with explosives to go faster and faster - then some mad lad made explosive rocks - and now we're on a brink to make them go so fast we don't need the explosives on the rocks any more, using electricity

I'm being dead serious when I say I would pay good money to see a feature-length action film directed by this madlad. He has a legitimately insane sense of rhythm and pacing in his editing and clearly understands visual storytelling very well. Like, seriously, give this man a Netflix series already!
18:59 Its actually better: They detonate a conventional explosive (possibly two+ in chain) to detonate a fission explosive to detonate a fusion explosive
Railguns do actually have a limit, because the projectile must stay in contact with the rails and therefore creates friction. It's coilguns that don't have a limit, because the projectile is suspended in the barrel and doesn't touch anything.
I like how they solved that problem in Code Geass, with disposable rail cartridges. It's not _efficient,_ but when you absolutely, positively _need_ a hypersonic weapon on a highly mobile platform to shoot other highly mobile platforms, accept no substitutes. It's a bolt-action hunting rifle for mechs and helicopters :v
@@JoshSweetvale Except railguns are way more efficient than coilguns. They have 10-50% conversion from electric to kinetic energy, while coilguns have it at below 10%
He's turned KSP into Just Cause 3 in the matter of a 27 minute video. I'm so here for this it almost hurts, amazing, also the plushie is the cutest (and thiccest) thing
Holy dude you are very smart and know a lot about stuff. I’ve watched the entire series all 4 episodes and it was very entertaining. Keep up the good work.
Fun fact. Thermonuclear weapons have no upper explosive limit, so long as you can keep adding stages. The Tsar Bomba was a 3 stage design. And the explosive efficiency of the nuclear material increases exponentially with each stage. It is theoretically possible to produce a single nuclear weapon, using existing facilities, that can wipe out all life on earth.
@@crezzyt Well acktually, the M4A1 is an Assault Rifle. That name comes from the German word Sturmgewehr. The first one was the MP-44, or Stg-44. The prototype rifles before it was given that propaganda name "Sturmgewehr" was actually referred to as the "Maschinenkarabiner", or "Machine Carbine" because of it's full-auto capability. Historically all full-auto capable firearms have been called machine guns. Over recent years we have started to refer only to General Purpose Machine Guns (GPMG) like the FN MAG (or M240) or PKM as machine guns, in addition to Heavy Machine Guns (HMG) like the M2, KORD, NSV, etc. This is not an important distinction however. So yes, the M4 is a machine gun, depending on the context you are talking about. In U.S federal law, all full-auto firearms are designated as machine guns, for example. See I told you I was a nerd ;D
@@hedgeearthridge6807 acktually the M4 is a carbine, the M16 is the rifle version of the Armalite system adopted by the US military. Also the use of "Maschinen" for automatic weapons was a purely German thing. Machine gun was never a blanket term for automatic weapons. It's a term only used for LMGs, HMGs, and GPMGs. In almost every country outside of Germany "machine gun" was never a blanket term for automatic weapons. The Fedorov Avtomat and Browning Automatic Rifle can each be argued to be the first "assault rifles" and neither of them were referred to as machine guns (even though the US Army modified the BAR to fill the role). So no, the M4 is an automatic carbine even though US law blankets all automatic weapons as machine guns.

Railguns do actually have a limit, because the projectile must stay in contact with the rails and therefore creates friction. It's coilguns that don't have a limit, because the projectile is suspended in the barrel and doesn't touch anything.
They also have +90% energy loss.
thats boomer talk (jk)
SHUT
I like how they solved that problem in Code Geass, with disposable rail cartridges.
It's not _efficient,_ but when you absolutely, positively _need_ a hypersonic weapon on a highly mobile platform to shoot other highly mobile platforms, accept no substitutes.

@@JoshSweetvale Except railguns are way more efficient than coilguns. They have 10-50% conversion from electric to kinetic energy, while coilguns have it at below 10%

That fact is perhaps less fun than you think lmao

Then you should also be a bit bugged at him for calling an m4a1 carbine a machine gun ;)
@@crezzyt With how often people call stuff like Carbines, Tactical Rifles, etc. machine guns, you generally get desensitised to it.
