27:26 so you're telling me that he killed approximately 86,000 zombies to make those minecarts? If a zombie has a 0.83% chance of dropping an iron ingot, and it takes 6 iron ingots to make an iron bar, and it takes five iron bars to make a minecart, then he should have killed around 80,000 or more zombies to get those minecarts. *Dear god.*
Even less, actually. You can beat minecraft with 1 random block, 1 snowy taiga biome, 1 lava, and 12 end portal frames. That's it. There's videos on how to beat minecraft with just a single grass block out there, but basically you get a zombie with a shovel to spawn, kill it, use the shovel to dig up snow blocks, use snow blocks to spawn emerald fox and wandering trader, use moss and saplings from trader for trees... and yeah. 14 blocks. 1 spawnable fullblock, 1 lava source, and 12 end portal frames, and the correct biome. @tysoncook5152 Well you shouldn't overuse it It's so complicated qnd requires a bunch of Redstone to do in the first place that it'd be faster to build farms, and more sustainable This isn't something you do on a whim, you clearly have no idea how much data it takes to overload a chunk
He said earlier that he did not have a lot of Redstone, also a better way to get lava is to go to the moon via going to an april fools version with the vote option and voting for bouncy. there is a rover with a pressure plate when you step on it you have three seconds to get the lava from it and you only have one chance to get it. I find it very interesting that rain, which is at best ignorable and at worst a nuisance in regular Minecraft, became one of the most important mechanics for this run
Nope, the most important was the mod used to cheat a way to lava buckets.
@@DavidMTheKrucifix Not really. Both were imperative to the run succeeding, so they were both equally important.
Same thing for the wandering trader
@@keithcarlson1020 Thr ain and the trader was not cheated in by a mod changing how the games drop/loot tables work. At that point he should have just changed it to drop all good loot.
@@DavidMTheKrucifix No. An "all or nothing" argument is stupid. He did the bare minimum modding to allow for this challenge to exist, and it created great content. There is actually zero reason for it to drop any "good loot" outside of adding a small chance to receive what he needed.
*Dear god.*
I think he buyed iron tools and smelt them
A Minecart is only 5 iron ingot
So...to complete minecraft you need: 1 tree. Some dirt. 1 lava bucket. That's way less than i expected
That's it.

You can, all you needed to do was overload a chunk with laval in it by putting a metric shit ton of filled book and quills until the data capacity is reached
At which point if you leave and re enter the world the chunk will reset, giving you lava and possible more items
by that logic you could get everything.
@tysoncook5152
Well you shouldn't overuse it
It's so complicated qnd requires a bunch of Redstone to do in the first place that it'd be faster to build farms, and more sustainable
This isn't something you do on a whim, you clearly have no idea how much data it takes to overload a chunk
@tysoncook5152
Also what do you mean "by that logic"
It's not logic, it's litteraly a thing you can do in a game, not logic, fact
He said earlier that he did not have a lot of Redstone, also a better way to get lava is to go to the moon via going to an april fools version with the vote option and voting for bouncy. there is a rover with a pressure plate when you step on it you have three seconds to get the lava from it and you only have one chance to get it. You could also get a green shulker box from doing this
It's been a norm for skyblock maps to use a mod to force sky terrain generation rather than normal generation since in the first one you could just build 2000 blocks and reach land.
I like how Martin still keeps his lettuce joke after all these years
