This was sad for me to watch. My dad's friend who has owned his 1998 ZX7R new from the showroom, sold it today. That was my "hero" bike. He had it for almost my entire childhood and I always dreamt of one day buying it off of him. I finally found a 2012 Daytona 675R (the bike that ACTUALLY got me "into" bikes) in Aug 2019 after 8 years if dreaming of one (they're almost unicorns here in the US). Once he saw that I had the 675R, he went and bought himself an RSV4 RF last year... So I guess the day has finally come where the Kawi goes bye-bye 🥺👋🏻

I fell in love with a 2000 ZX-7R a few years ago. It was the black/silver livery and was in stock condition except for slip-on that had a broken hanger due to vibration. I picked it up cheap and rode it around marveling at its massive weight and the balls it must of taken to ride one of these in WSB in anger. I am long time Ducati 996S owner which was tiny compared to this ZX-7. Yet the ZX-7 used its mass to hold a line as Newton's second law suggests. What a big hunk of metal.
