Ans : Because It's the best system in the world and Libralism can't compete with it.
      How to villanize Shariah?
Ans : Create puppet terrorists and make them claim they are *Islamic*
How to make people stay away from Shariah system?

      1. Villanize and show Sh@ri@h is terrible and oppresive and brainwash people with this lies by news media and movies etc.
      2. Show that secularism / liberalism is the best system.

I must congratulate this meticulously researched film by Umair Khan and Fatimah Javed. Even the voice of Ms. Fatima is so kind and respectful, it brings love and admiration for her. God Bless her. I am from Bangladesh and want peace and prosperity in Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh and they should look upon each other as friends and brothers and sisters of the same mother soil of India. This documentary shows very well that Mr. Jinnah was truly liberal, progressive, and a man of integrity. He was a great leader, Quaid-e- Azam. If Pakistanis followed his ideology, then Pakistan would not have been a hotbed for terrorism and a bankrupt nation as it is now. I hope Pakistanis watch this film and learn humanitarian values. May God Bless the soul of Mr. Jinnah. Amen.

Lmao😂, Pakistan is a secular country with democracy and liberal agenda. Pakistan is living by secualar system. And what did Pakistan get by this? Did they become superpower or something? And to save themselves, Seculars are trying to blame Islam for the failure of secular Pakistan, while Pakistan was never a Islamic state. Jinnah was a Secular Urdu Nationalist r@cist piece of sh!t, who used Islam to gain power and betray muslims of sub-continent.

The point is, Jinnah never mentioned the word secular in any of his speeches, and mentioned the state being based on Islamic principles on several occasions. Regardless of what his intentions were, he's ended up creating a semi-theocratic democracy (or so he intended, until generals decided to jump in on statecrafting). And btw, upholding Jinnah as this sort of standard to aspire to is something I find really laughable within Pakistani liberal circles. Given that Kashmiri independence was undermined by Jinnah's invasion of Kashmir, and Balochistan was forcefully occupied by Pakistan. Bacha Khan - the only secular leader who encouraged his people to read and rid themselves off the shackles of blood feuds was deemed a traitor and since then the ANP and secular Pashtuns have been targeted by the Pakistani state.
At the end of the day, you cannot deny that Jinnah himself was responsible for the mess we are in. Even Jinnah uttered these words on his death bed when he said, "Pakistan was the greatest mistake of my life".
Just ask yourself, how can a state made to safeguard the interests of a religious group and their religion, ever become secular? The very basis of Pakistani nationhood is Islam. Take Islam out of Pakistan and you won't have a Pakistan. Such is not the case for historical regions like Iran, India, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan etc. So the question of separating religion from state in a country whose entire reason to exist is religion, is pointless. Either you advocate for Pakistan, or like myself, secular nation states based on common language. Pakistan is done. And I say that as someone who is from there.

There are very few critical voices in the country who have the courage to call a spade a spade.
Btw I would like to know the source where Jinnah said that Pakistan was his greatest mistake, out of curiosity.
Do books published outside Pakistan mention this? They do mention that he was fond of his whiskey and pork and bacon, but in Pakistan these passages have been removed to give Jinnah an Islamic outlook.

While I agree on the fact that Jinnah never mentioned verbally that Pakistan was not associated with the religion, I’d like to disagree with this invasive remark, as well as the Indian doctrinaire that Baloch are apparently going through a national apartheid, because I’m a Baloch, and I, my relatives and my friends are very happy to be Pakistanis if I say so myself. In regards to Pashtuns, this nationalist movement actually sprung up from Afghanistan, not Pakistan. If you take a national poll to see how many Pashtuns would actually like independence and secularism, I can guarantee that the “for” notion would not proceed above 20% at max, for Pashtuns are some of Pro-Pakistani nationalists around. In regards to Kashmir, there wasn’t invasion by either side. The majority of the state wanted to join Pakistan, however, since the Maharaja was a Hindu, he chose independence. At first, it was all okay, until Pakistani dacoits and looters invaded Kashmir, all the while the Maharaja, out of a regard of acquiring security, signed the deal to India. During this period, both India and Pakistan invaded to claim what they believed to rightfully be theirs. Ever since, there’s been a nonstop battle between the two states. Thanks! - M

@@mul-el3657 I think despite how politically charged and heated these conversations are, it's always refreshing to read a well-written and mature reply, so thank you for that.
Regarding the Baloch movement for justice as simply Indian doctrine is something I disagree with. While I do think that India has an interest in using Balochistan as their trump card, in case Pakistan talks about human rights violations in Kashmir, I would be careful about framing that as an Indian movement.
The recent incidents in Hoshab, and the murders of Baloch human rights activists abroad have further fuelled resentment within Balochistan. This is evidenced by the recent protests in Gwadar, where people are chanting "death to Pakistan" and "long live Balochistan". Maulana Rehman said in one of his speeches that "FC is the biggest cancer in Balochistan". Recently, a video went viral where students at Quetta (I think) University celebrated the victory of Australia over Pakistan in the t20 series. Such resentment has not really existed on such a mass scale, or if it had, we were never exposed to it as much as we are now.
Now, I'll be honest and I'll say: I do not know what the scale of this problem is! What I do know, is that there is a media blackout on Balochistan. While these protests were happening, the only news coming out of Balochistan was a kukkar fight in some village. People who have reported or written about Balochistan from the point of view of the Baloch have been either killed or attacked, or sent into exile. This tells me that the Paki establishment is very serious about keeping us in the dark about what's happening. And this makes me suspicious that actually the scale of the problem is probably far larger than any of us can imagine. I have no reason to doubt you are a Baloch, but I know a far larger number of Baloch who disagree with you entirely, and would rather die than call themselves Pakistani.
      Best, tc.

@@Literally-hw6jv Thank you for your reply. I don’t really have a lot of time for incredibly grammatical messaging, so I’ll simply debunk the claim of the so-called “Baloch Genocide.” See, Pakistan has five provinces: Punjab, Afghania, Kashmir, Sindh & Balochistan. In terms of our geography, we are located with hostile neighbours who surround our borders (i.e. India, Afghanistan, Pakistani Taliban, the Iranian Regime, ISIS-K) and then there’s Balochistan’s location. An undiscovered amount of petroleum, oil and diamonds reserved in a desert. In Pakistan, there exists a lot of military influence and operational demand in Balochistan due to it’s regional safety issues. These issues are present due to a man known as Mohsin Dawar, the founder of National Democratic Movement, a “sellout” party. In the “open secret” political system of Pakistan, there is a well known fact that this man is the one who has armed and provided TTP militants with arms and weapons. It’s rather comparable to Iraq, really. A nation that’s surrounded with so much hostility that it requires military support and arm at all times to maintain stability. Just to prove Baloch equality, we can, say point out Baloch actors: Feroze Khan, Waqar Baloch, Hafeez Lal or Emaad Irfani. While I agree on the previous atrocities committed by Pakistan such as the Bengal genocide that was carried out by a racist Sindhi (ZAB), this Baloch genocidal propaganda is simply not true. Hope you understand that this is not just my blind love for my country, as I will indeed always stand against what isn’t right.
      🙏 😊

    • @Literally-hw6jv
      @Literally-hw6jv 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@mul-el3657 No worries. Just to point out that I did not mention "genocide" anywhere. I only mentioned the Pakistan Army's murder and suppression of Baloch civilians. And, you haven't really "debunked" anything, you've just made claims. E.g. "Mohsin Dawar runs a sellout party" and "armed TTP militants". Mohsin Dawar's entire career has come out of criticising the Pakistan Army for supporting the Taliban and TTP. He does not make distinctions between good and bad Taliban like many in Pakistan do.
Also, there's a reason why Pakistan's neighbours are hostile. Firstly, I wouldn't class Iran as "hostile". There are border issues, but largely Pakistan and Iran see eye to eye on more than Pakistan's more immediate neighbours. I don't support the Indian state for its actions in Kashmir, but looking at it objectively, Pakistan is the hostile neighbour to India more than vice versa. All Indo-Pak wars were started by Pakistan, and ended more or less in either defeat or status quo ante bellum. Kashmiri independence itself was undermined by Pakistan when Pakistan decided to send tribals across the border, making the Maharaja nervous and ask the Indians to come to his aid. I will concede though that Afghanistan did try to invoke Pashtun nationalist sentiments in Pakistan, and for that it has paid the price. However, Pakistan hasn't really made things easy for itself by choosing to ally with the Taliban. The Taliban are known in Afghanistan as staunch Pashtun nationalists, and have never accepted the Durand Line. So by allying itself with the Taliban, Pakistan has chosen Islamic fundamentalist Pashtun nationalists, over secular Pashtun nationalists. It would have made far more sense strategically to have allied with the government in Kabul from 2001 onwards, which unlike the communist regimes were less Pashtun centric and more "national". So, as unfortunate as Pakistan has been, it hasn't made things any better for itself.

This is the one of the most pristine of works, I have ever seen on Mr. Jinnah. I am from India, and loved this documentary. An amazingly well put together one. Truly, he was the most liberal man, the subcontinent has ever known; will ever know (unfortunately), for years to come.
The way I see the first half of 20th century history of the subcontinent, as related to India and Pakistan; the core conflict between INC and Mr. Jinnah, was that of authority and liberty, respectively. The INCans (moderates/centrists) were Hamiltonian nationalists, whereas Mr. Jinnah was a Jeffersonian republican. The history of 20th c British India has some remarkable parallels with the early United States’ history. The making of the US constitution in 1787, the conflicts between federalists (nationalists/strong central government) and antifederalists (democratic-republicans/strong state governments) in the early American republic, are quite similar to that of the subcontinent’s history.
Nehru and Patel were Hamiltonians, who prioritized in territoriality and centrality, over democratic process. Jinnah and his close allies, were Jeffersonians, who believed in Jeffersonian principles of wall of separation between church and state, democratization of ownership of property, republican form of governments, concurrent majorities, states’ rights and autonomy (not sovereignty), and so on.
Jinnah was a Lockean just like Jefferson. Nehru and Co. were not. They were utilitarians, at best. The direct result of which, is what we see in India, today. Tyranny of some of the populous states states (cow belt) over others through aggressive take over of central legislature (parliament), on the basis of religion and religious fanaticism. The Hamiltonians (Nehru and Co) were the architect of the present day crisis in India. Absolute rule of parliament, parliamentary sovereignty, Supreme Court sovereignty, states’ subordinacy, unitary powers with residual powers vested in a central government- all recipes of despotism and dictatorship.
    Love live, Mr. Jinnah!
A true liberal republican, through and through.
    A Jeffersonian.

Very impressive analysis but it should also be mentioned that the Jinnah you're describing is the Jinnah of pre-pakistan movement. He held the leadership of the Pakistan-movement out of spite after sensing his apparent ideological divide with the Congress and totally gave up on his ideological principles. This is why what became Pakistan was ideologically totally in contrast to the philosophy of Locke and Jefferson. In a way, he ended up creating exactly what he was opposing and even a more radical form of it.

Secularism is a state of mind and culture. Hindu mindset and culture is inherently secular. That is why we visit dargah’s, Shirdi Sai Baba is actually a Muslim, and we have no problem in participating in celebrating moharrum or even Eid. Muslims do not have the mindset as it is not encouraged from childhood. As kids, we never were told Gods of different religions were different, we learnt that from abrahamic faiths.

Most Muslims now are not even wishing others on their festivals, forget about celebrating other’s festival. Recently a Bangladeshi cricketer visited Durga pooja pandal in Calcutta, West Bengal when he was on a trip to India. Bangladeshi fundamentalists we’re after him and was under death threat and he had to apologize which itself is an insult to Hindus. But who can talk to Muslims?

@@saadzaidi2202 You underestimate India’s depth of middle class, diverse goals of regional parties, and overestimate loudmouths. BJP and any other party it does not matter will be replaced. Right now on balance Modi is doing well if not on all fronts. There is a reason Kajrewal and Mamata Banerjee win, because Indian people are diverse. It might appear to an outsider that Modi won due to just single reason or agenda. But Indians know much better. Haryana and Punjab are gone for BJP. Rajasthan is with Congress. Bengal with TMC. Regional/linguistic states have different goals, even if BJP leaders form these states make loud noises and make it to headlines in media. Pakistan is not balanced because of Punjabis being a single largest group 60% of the country that dominates others, just sways the boat leg and right, steers without any clear path. India does not have that problem. Modi is only good until he can deliver.

The Great calcutta Killings is being conveniently explained through class-based violence, law and order vacuum because of decolonization etc. A clean chit is also being given to the Muslim league government in bengal.
However, Suhrawardy's vitriolic speech, call to Jehad post Friday prayers, calling a public holiday and assuring Muslim goondas that the police would look the other way if they agitate, are responsible for the initial break of violence.
Neither is Jinnah's choice of wordings of having a pistol etc that drew on imagery of violence.
