We’ve still got the 3 Units of Ex-CNJ GP40PH-2’s (4100-4101, and 4109 “CNJ Heritage Unit”) and Ex-NYC/Ex-PC GP40PH-2B’s (NJT 4200-4219) but unfortunately the next few years the 17 additional ALP-45DP’s (NJT 4535-4551) will replace the GP40PH-2B’s (Ex-NYC/Ex-PC) and I don’t know about NJT 4205 and NJT 4213
NJT has 3 variations of GP40. You have the GP40PH-2 which are numbered 4100-4112 and 4145-4150, 4148 no longer exists as it was involved in a horrible accident back in the 90's. Today 4148 is 4219, but is still a PH-2 model. The other variation is the PH-2B model numbered 4200-4218, but they look the same as the PH-2s. The GP40-2s are numbered 4300-4303 and are not used for revenue service since they lack Head End Power motors.
Always nice to see those GP40's. Love the sound on those engines
I love those geeps, nice one!
Yup it sure is good to see it back in service and yeah you have to love it's bell.
No problem! Always happy to help another train buff out :)
Nice video Brian. I miss our GP40PHs. Nothing else like 'em.

Thanks! Yup it sounds awesome accelerating out from under I-95!
The bell sounds like the same as NJT 4108 and 4101
Thanks
