Nice video. How old is the station? It and the surrounding rail infrastructure seems relatively recent.

***** The station was built in 1981 but completely renovated when the Montclair Connection was built in 2002. Before 1981, trains terminated at this great big railroad terminal not too far away (which is now a shopping mall). This was for the Delaware, Lackawanna, and Western Railroad. (I personally don't see why the terminal closed down before the connection was built) When NJ Transit was formed, this line became the Montclair line. North of the bay St. Connection, there is Walnut St. Station, which was used by the Erie Railroad. Trains went east towards New York (these tracks are now abandoned, I hear, however, there is a plan to turn the route into a walking trail.) When NJ Transit was formed, this became known as the Boonton line. Then in 2002, the 2 lines merged to form the Montclair- Boonton line. (I think this is worth mentioning by the way, that the Delaware, Lackawanna, and Western Railroad and the Erie Railroad were arch rivals. But because a lot of their train routes overlapped, in 1960 they merged to form the Erie Lackawanna Railroad, which went bankrupt in 1976.)
