Hello my friends! I messed this one up a few times but with some practice I'll be able to get some crazy new cars done. Hope you enjoy my experiment video, hope your week is good. Namaste 🤘🤘🍻🍻
And yet another beautiful car! I think it would be very cool to see your cars under bright but overcast daylight. Maybe set up the turntable outside and show us a few of them. They all look really good under your studio lights but I suspect they might look even better in daylight. Regardless, thanks for sharing all these with us!
I purchased gold leaf as an experiment to try on castings. Decided to see if anyone else has thought of this, and of course, here we are. Nice work. Helpful tips.
great job Sir...those "grills" on the side are the iconic Buick port holes...Ive been selling Buicks since 1984....those port holes first showed up on the 1948 Roadmaster....they are still showing up on todays Enclave models...
Excellent work! Wasn’t sure about the purple but the red is absolutely stunning! Another cool effect would be candy over some turned leaf. Would make for a fun low rider!
Pretty wild luster to it. I think you’re right about it having that crushed velvety vibe! I like it man, cool video! (I wonder what a yellow candy would look like over it? Butterscotch?)
Not gonna lie, I’m eagerly waiting for the next wild and crazy low rider. Between this and the etched flame effect, I feel like you’re developing a plethora of visual effects.
I love the effect that that can go leaving had underneath candy color the little imperfections looking such thing and a great effect is turned out awesome I love that car
now this looks like the fancy customs from the 90's, where they smoothed everything out and applied the most interesting paintjobs... instead of a dull basecoat like nowadays. :/ in real this buick would be quite the head-turner for sure. :D
That is just awesome hat red looks like raspberry jam (errr jelly for you guys in the US) looks delicious Ace .... now lm feeling hungry for a raspberry jelly sandwich 🥪 😋
Very cool. Too bad about the paint chipping. That purple would have been incredible. However, the end result was just as stunning. You do fantastic work my friend. Please keep the vids coming.
Austin, you've done it again. Simply amazing effect. I think this would look amazing in green, or a blue as well. Maybe orange? I'd be interested to try this with white too. Have you considered trying "brushed" or "turned" gold leaf? Like the letters on a fire truck? I think they do a soft cotton ball or something, I think in your scale you could even use an eye shadow applicator thing? You know, looks like a Q tip or swab but has a foam end rather than cotton?
My 2nd time watching this one. Thanks for this one. I am training myself this art now and only on my 4th car. My results are coming along and I hope to be as good as you are some day. It helps to know what color you put on 1st, 2nd, and 3ed. On your 2nd coat do you always sand it down before a last clear coat? Thanks man.
Excellent work as always. I remember you saying you want to try the real gold leaf vs imitation leaf to see the difference. It got me thinking though. What if you did a kind of "cheap vs steap" custom challenge? Take two of the same model and use budget materials, like rattle-cans and the like and pit it against the airbrush and other stuff and see how well each turn out? I think that would be interesting.
Some adhesion promoter on top of the leaf would help with the paint adhering to the gold leaf. I didnt think the purple would turn out well because of the gold color underneath I figured it'd take a bunch of coats and get too dark. Figured a red, orange, green, or yellow candy would work best. Looked awesome in the red.
Awesome experiment, came out great. It might be interesting (but probably a massive pain in the ass) to do real gold leaf on the stripes for a GT350H, just a suggestion.

Looks better than anything I've done!!
Absolutely stunning! You've opened up a whole new route of exploration! What a masterpiece!
Hello
Haven't seen Tiny Turner lately, is she ok 😝👍😂
Gold and Red candy looks amazing 👏
I think a red candy over the gold could produce a really sweet fiery orange potentially
Cool look! You should do a hearse in this color with black, as this color reminds me of red crushed velvet, like in a coffin! 🤣
OH
MY
GOODNESS!!!
THIS IS SOO MAGNIFICENT!!
I had to watch this video twice just to see the sparkles
That was amazing. So glad you switched colors. What about trying the deeper engraved/scratched flames, then gold leaf, then royal blue candy?
And yet another beautiful car!

I really like the red instead of the purple. Sometimes mistakes can lead to better outcomes. Beautiful job. Thanks for the video.
I purchased gold leaf as an experiment to try on castings. Decided to see if anyone else has thought of this, and of course, here we are. Nice work. Helpful tips.
That moment where the gold leaf rips before you even started kinda cracked me up. Beautiful endgame, I love your videos :)
The purple will be missed, but still came out looking nice.
Glad to see you decided to give the gold foil another shot.
Wow, that candy brandy wine is a crazy color over that leafing but I did love that purple on the roof, great ideas for painting, Thanks

I'm glad you had to redo it. The second iteration is way better. Beautiful paint.
That came out incredible ! Another trophy winner. 🏆🏆🏆
Gorgeous in that red, I can’t wait to see it in a blue over that foil! Great channel Thanks
Looks great. Have you thought about using silver leaf and Spectraflame?
That red over gold was beautiful..
Excellent work! Wasn’t sure about the purple but the red is absolutely stunning! Another cool effect would be candy over some turned leaf. Would make for a fun low rider!
I was surprised at the very interesting painting method. Great finish! A finish like yours won't be easy to imitate!
Rule of thumb. Always keep your crannies clean!
The second color was a huge win, looks great 👍
Pretty wild luster to it. I think you’re right about it having that crushed velvety vibe! I like it man, cool video!

Nice gold leafing! Nice paint job 👍👍
Wow, amazing results from this experiment! :) In that red, the car looks perfect for a Christmas set! :)
Love it!!! I gotta get me some goldleaf now...boogey van paint jobs...lowriders...the possibilities are endless
Another amazing job! Can’t wait to see what comes up next!
Maybe something to park next to Jimmy’s Trailer?
Id love to see the gold leaf + black, a nice Wu-tang car. But that does look amazing with the candy over it.
EPIC! Love the result. A swing and a miss followed by a third deck Slam. Hide the keys .... Jimmy will be joy riding that for sure.
Omg that red looks insane!! Can't wait to see what clear coat right over the gold will look like.. please do more of this! 🤩
You skipped burnishing. No idea what difference it would make on a dye cast, but it makes a huge difference on a frame or something.
Glad you’re back!
Need to see the "Deep Purple" or "Purple Haze"... That treatment would really be P->I->M->P on a 70's Impala!
I love the effect that that can go leaving had underneath candy color the little imperfections looking such thing and a great effect is turned out awesome I love that car
Dang that paint job is fine. More gold leaf please.
That's a great looking car and would look amazing in any collection.
I think a fade from the gold into the candy would look good, gold on bottom half... 😀😀😀
Holy crap that's gorgeous. Nice job. Can't wait to see your future trials.
WHAT???? CRAZY, MAN !!! HOPE I LEARN IT... CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You just continue to surpass yourself all the time. Watching your work evolve is so satisfying.
This needs to be tested with all of your candy collors :D. Keep 'em comin' !
Morning from Japan! Beautiful, the red is the better choice IMHO.
Hello! Nice work on the paint! Car looks Great!!
That is out of this world! Awesome job!
Really liked the gold leaf all alone. Just clear coated would be Rad!
now this looks like the fancy customs from the 90's, where they smoothed everything out and applied the most interesting paintjobs... instead of a dull basecoat like nowadays. :/
in real this buick would be quite the head-turner for sure. :D
It's got a nice lowrider appeal if you ask me straight Beautiful love it 😀

Nice effect. Can't wait to see it with black or charcoal color.
That's gorgeous. Shame about the purple, that was looking good too. Have you got anything bigger coming up? I loved your larger scale stuff
Glad to see this worked out so well!
Congratulations 👏 ,I like when you you keep experimenting with your craft. Looks very good brother

Beautiful. SUPER PIMP!!
both colors looked awesome you should try the purple idea again.
The car body and the gold leaf title caught my attention...
6:04 imagine Gold Leafing a(n) actual car 🤨😅
Extremely cool effect. Was really digging the deep purple. Maybe a cool low rider motif?
You never cease to amaze me. That is definitely bad ass .👍👍😎
Looks good as always! You should try over some fake silver leaf too sometime! Keep it up man!
Looks stunning! I like the red.
Looks Amazing love the color .
Hello in the comments! That paint job looks sick dude! I can't wait to see more of this in the future.
Your next project should be nickle plating with candy...That always turns out amazing
Fun experiment. Great results!
I’m not usually a big fan of reds but that looks really good.
You need to try that gold on green, I believe that will be the perfect combination.
Hello my friend cool paint
The effect is awesome on a small car. Maybe try this on a bigger scale. Either way, another check in the win column.
Love how much You keep innovating!
Amazing, I can't wait to see what else comes out of this!
Love see content from fellow Canadian for a change
I think this is an awesome base layer for a low rider paint scheme
Oh my baby jebus that is an amazing paint job! Me Likey!
Love the idea. I wonder how the purple would look lightly painted, to let more of the gold come though.
All my paint jobs are experiments.
I wasn't sure where this was going, but in the end, WOW-WE!! ❤
Super cool idea that really looks great. Flexing those paint skills!
One word, beautious!!!
looks awesome!
can't wait to see how you use that method on future projects.
I like soup
It looks like a jewel 💎
Beauty effect bud!
Lovely!
Looks so sweet
WOW .....just WOW awesome
That as stripes will be sick.

Looks great.
One tip, after you use the make up brush on gold Leaf us a cotton ball to smooth out the gold leaf out, other that it came out great
Amazing. If you use chrome leaf or aluminum leaf it could look like a redline!
Hello in the comments 🙋♂️👍👌 very nice buick

Amazing effect!!!
Turned out cool.
Looks amazing
So, if I were to screw up the leafing, does the paint stripper take it off so I can try again?
Looks great

What kind of paint remover are you using? I could not find it on your list. Thanks in advance.
That turned out absolutely amazing. That red over the gold is incredible. I'm going to have to try the gold leafing. Also, what putty did you use?
Awesome experiment, came out great. It might be interesting (but probably a massive pain in the ass) to do real gold leaf on the stripes for a GT350H, just a suggestion.
I can dig it!
