Painting Hot Wheels Cars - Chevrolet Corvette . Hello, today I tried putting a whole custom paint job on a Hot Wheels Corvette in one big decal. I used the Detroit Speed Corvette as my guide to awesomeness. Have a look. It was a Journey. Watch out for spiders.

For the taillights, you might try using a toothpick. Gives you more control to put the paint where you want it.

Man! The blob gag was so cool. I loved it. You even pulled in the old black and white horro trick, which was awesome in my opinion. That's pure entertainment right there. And the spider effect was great too. I can't wait for a Haloween themed episode with Jimmy maybe. The car is turned out great. Good job on this one again. Huge plus point for keeping the mistakes in. Your vette is the best this casting has has ever looked.
I've been restoring Slot cars since the 70's, it's Kool to see you come up with technics I came up with years ago, you have vastly better tools and skills. I was probably 8 or 9 yrs old when this obsession took hold, I'm 57 now.
That Vette is one of my favorite Aurora slot cars.
I always used hand soap to remove paint from plastic.
In the states it was a product called gojo without pumice.
I'd drop the bodies in, just like you do with stripper.
To paint tiny head lights I would take a q-tip, cut off the head make sure the cut off is round, dip it in white paint and perfect circle.
If you're really anal, paint it silver first and you will get an aluminum bezzel around your head light.
Tail lights and signal markers always were painted silver first when testors came out with stop light red and turn signal amber.
Before that it was just red and yellow.
