Painting Diecast Cars - Matchbox No7 Golf MK1. In today's video I take a classic Matchbox Golf and try do a Martini livery on it. Things didn't go according to plan and I ended up with something totally different than what I initially tried to do. Let me know what you thought!

Looks good
Love it!
Looks freaking outstanding 👏 👌 😁
I know I'm late to the comments, but I gotta say this is one of my favorite episodes by far.
Painting. Diecast. Cars no7. Golf. Mk1 like
I’m never disappointed with how any of your work comes out. No matter what my color preference may be it’s always neat to see other people’s ideas come to life.
I have this same Matchbox, I still remember when and where I bought it about 45 years ago. Your restoration came out great, I love it.
I normally wouldn't dare post a comment before watching a video but man am i excited about this one. Hell yeah. Blub blub for life Jimmy!
Pretty neat little zoom zoom!
And rank you for recognizing the need for "the strip"!
It's cool when projects take a weird turn and end up being so cool!! Great job 👍 🏎 🏁
Miami Dolphins Golf, DrGusGreenfield approved
Hell yeah!!! For not where you were planning it turned out great!!
Love the look, especially the stance!!!! Thank you, DR!!!!
I think the reason Matchbox made the VW Golf a Right hand Drive because Matchbox was a company that was founded in Great Britain during the 1950's and some of their earlier castings were based off of real life cars they had in the United Kingdoms.
I had a Volkswagen GTI MK2 Turbo and loved that car. Buddy still has his Scirocco from the same time frame that has been fully restored and maintained. Great job on this build!
You can never do wrong man...
The car came out awesome and you did an awesome job too...
I can not tell you how much I enjoy what you do. It's definitely been a journey and I have really seen how much your talents have grown. I hope you continue to do these for a long time and don't get burned out. They are something I look forward to.
As Bob Ross liked to say, a happy little accident. The color was a perfect retro, 70's esque vibe! 😎😘😍🥰
This was my FAVORITE Matchbox car as a kid. I even managed to keep the surfboards for a long time. I have no idea why it was my favorite, but I did prefer realistic Matchbox over the fantasy cars that Hotwheels cars were back in the 70s.
I loved this vid because it was fun to watch. I've never had a Martini, but when I do, I'll be remembering this.
I know this isn't what you planned, but I love it.
Seriously, this was my favorite Matchbox when I was a kid - I know I still have it (well my son has it now) WITH the surfboards. I still remember buying this with my "own" money at Kmart. Great job!
Bob Ross would say Happy Little Accident 😂, Car looks good.
Looks absolutely amazing
Looks like a perfect version of an AutoZone-spec teen racer!
Oh yeah love me some of the bubbly
It looks cool even though it didn't come out as you expected. Thanks for your videos and ideas.
I would drive that to work everyday!!
Still a cool custom ride. Can’t be mad about that.
It doesn't look bad at all. Its got the right stance, good rims. Like a 1st car if you ask me.
I thought it turned out sweet brother. Like my spirit animal Bob Ross says”we don’t make mistakes, we have happy accidents”
awesome vintage diecast
awesome
Bruh!! This one turned out fudgen sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!
It’s fine. Nothing wrong with it! Keep up the good work!
I like it. Clean and simple.
I think it looks great... Understated.
I like it. Clean and stylish
Interesting transition from start to finish. Actually think I like the basic paint with the single stripe over something more elaborate. Looks good at the end. The volvo wheels really helped.
I like it way better with the color and pinstripe and the wheels set it off good always enjoy your videos
Clean, simple and pretty neat I say, 👌
I've been watching a lot of restorations on the actual car, so when you said you were going to fill the holes with putty my first thought was to weld it. While I was watching the airbrushing part of the video, my new compressor showed up.
Man, to me, it came out looking killer.
I like the colors on this one!
Man that is pimp. Much better then before
I dig it! Nice, clean little zoomer...
Looks great, but if it's not where you planned today, maybe later revisit and challenge yourself. Convert it to a 2 door with some flared out fenders or wide body for that rally look.
👍 Thx 🇧🇪.
Great job on the casting
I am a VW guy. I love it!
You should do more customs with bodywork like making flared arches, body kits and bonnet scoops, etc. Great build and as always loving the videos!
Looks great to me.
I was sceptical at first. I have to admit. Especially when you picked White. I'm NOT a fan of white vehicles. BUT!!!!
This project turned out pretty darn Cool!!! I'm diggin' it!!! GREAT job!!! 👍🏻
It's all about the journey. We enjoy the process probably more than the finish product. Nevertheless, it turned out really cool. Cheers !
Might not have gone according to plan, but sure looks like it was destined to look that mint!
Looks fantastic!!!
I like it. 👏
I like it. Kinda reminds me of the old southwestern bell phone trucks
Looks sharp.
It has a British number plate on r registration 1977-78 nice one.
STP next orange and blue on a Volvo estate (wagon) lol
Classic golf, what is there not to love? Nice job
Still looks pretty good! Like it!
That turned out awesome. Paint matched up perfect! Another quality job👍👍👍
Nice build, details and paint job 👍👍
Great work as always.
SOOOOO KOOOOOLLLLL.
Paint is awesome.
It's a beautiful casting even so it looks a little bit flat, because definitly need more decals to look agressive irá a nice work
Looks good!
Nice! Instead of filling the holes in the roof, you could've used the holes as corner markers to cut out a rectangle and make a canvas sunroof.
Looks good to me.
AWSOME!!
Sweet
I think it looks awesome. Great job
🕵Turned out awesome man way better than when you started!🏆
All in all I think it is pretty sick looking! I like it a lot um Kay
WOW THIS VIDEO IS SUPER AMAZING!!! Fortunately dude, I also hit the like button of this video!!! 👉"👍"👈
I think it looks good
Looks awesome
Kinda reminds me of a Joie Chitwood car. Would love to see that! Great work
Even Bob Ross had a few unhappy trees. 😉
It turned out good 👍🏻
Very cool!!! 👍😀👍
I really like it! Looks cool.
Not bad for a match box. Lol. It turned out really good.
Turned out very good though as always
Super dope!!!
You might think about making your own glass. A company called Smooth-on and you can form your own glass from the old ones! Might be a big help cause I see you frustrated with the glass color. They are here on TH-cam.
Looks good, looks like a nice hot hatch.
Great job
Very nice work and looks super clean! Thanks for another great video.
Looks pretty good 👍
Looks nice! I had the Brazilian Golf back in the day, it was called the Audi Fox!
Still looks good
ITS AWESOME
looks good
Still turned out cool even if it go the direction intended. 👍
I actually like it!
You should have kept the surf board rack on that Golf car, and made the boards from your 3D printer.
Nice job!
Honestly it looks awesome 👍👍😎
It's GREAT
Super restoration 🖒🖒🖒
I like it, nice. Great job.
I dig it, I like the colors. The only thing it's missing is sponsor decals. Keep up the good work 👍
