I had to stop because I got so sick during the pandemic and I was afraid I would never make it back but here I am doing your barre exercise in my chair daily. I want to cry. Thank you so so much. I have looked at other ballet exercise videos and what was considered beginner was too aggressive for my body. Also the person demonstrating was not elegant and graceful and the music was elegant or soothing. This matches all of my criteria and am so happy to have found you. Once I feel strong enough and flexible enough, I will advance to your other videos. Please don't change.
I love this workout and since I started your workouts I have dropped a size in my pants. Lost some arm flab and just feel better. At 75 with one knee having osteoarthritis, the opposite hip with osteopenia and drop foot these workouts have made me feel so much stronger. I rarely take any pain medication and even use some of your exercises when I teach a workout class with Special Needs Young Adults. Thank you so much for your workouts.
Awesome! I am 75, male, and regularly do ballet class. I found this video the afternoon following my shoulder surgery. The leg exercises and one-sided arms got me moving and on the road to recovery.

This is a deceptively challenging routine! You really figured out how to work all the muscles and cover the main beats of a traditional barre class in a seated exercise format. It's a lot of fun, and I can tell the routine has already made me stronger, more flexible, and more graceful in the few weeks I've been doing it regularly. Great job, as usual!

This was my first barre workout, I thought I would start with an easy seated workout. It was much more challenging than I expected, I almost gave up in the middle, but I did the whole thing. I swear you can see me with your “ are you still sitting up straight” question. Thanks for the reminders and the great workout.

Well chair barre is not that easy - challenged me - loved the swan arm movements... I still do ballroom dancing so arm lines can be challenging but so graceful - that was the easy part ...😂lol now I can get on my air walker for about 50 minutes and read a book thanks for another great class - will do another 2 different classes of yours tomorrow .....take care 🙏
I love this!!❤ Longtime ballet dancer until an illness made my mobility wonky. This helps so much. I can stand but sometimes lose my balance and this was wonderful. I feel graceful again. I still got it.❤🎉
I have chronic illnesses on top of that, I am currently disabled due to a wound that got infected on my shin. At first I wasn’t doing anything, but now that I changed my mindset and started loving myself, I’m changing myself.

I used to teach ballet and am 61 and needed a boost to get back into exercising regularly and I am very thankful I found you. My first time to join your class. Even though i am almost 70 years old, i was always taking the “regular classes”for fitness. Since I have a procedure done on my left knee recently, i decided to search classes that fits my particular fitness needs. Then i discover your class which i am thankful for. After taking your class, i feel that i got all my mucle groups working and i am amazed that sitting on a chair can do the magic!Thanks you again!

You are by far the best to watch. i have downloaded all your chair yoga exercises and am making my way through them. I especially enjoy the Barre one. I really feel it after. At 63, I broke my ankle at Christmas and these are really helping me get my mobility back. Thank you for your time and effort at making these videos. I love them!
Although my legs don’t hurt and I can do a great workout standing and lying on the mat, I decided to try a workout (Barre’s favorite!) on a chair. I thought that Lauren would make any workout both interesting and effective. And so it turned out: all the exercises were interesting, especially glute squeezes, seated lunges and quadriceps stretches. After the workout, my body felt pleasantly toned and tense. Thank you so much Lauren for making this a pleasure!
I felt so graceful, I needed this haha. The duration and movements are perfect for me, hopefully I can do longer workouts soon, but as always need to remind myself doing 35% is better than 0% haha
Love the arm stretches really wakes the body ..so love this video …I can protect my leg injury which is healing well ..I feel it in my chest those muscles still pull from the seatbelt injury ..but nothing I can’t breath through ..I’m noticing my body is healing …walking a distance makes my leg swell so don’t walk so far ..patience …. and I scan your videos depending how I feel - which one today ..30/12. as always thankyou 🙏
I have alot of different health issues and am proud of myself for making through this. I had to take a 10m break, but I was able to do it! I'm even sweating. It was definitely more challenging than I expected, but very effective. I feel like I really worked out like I haven't in a long time.

Loved this Barre workout … first time I’ve tried Barre… so opted for this chair option … a great place to start but equally really does work your muscles. I sure felt the burn 🔥😊 I coped well with all the routine except for the last one … with the knee to the floor … but will work on that one gradually. My flexibility and strength has greatly improved since doing your routines. I do the strength and stretch every single day .. adding in different ones like the one mile walk and the 17 min chair yoga too … amazing … thank you
I am still surprised by what the chair can do to help my body to maximize the work out that I want to get. The hip openings and bottom firm up exercises are my favorite. You are an amazing teacher! Thank you so much 😊

I can't tell you how much stronger I feel! Senior Shapes is what I was looking for to drop my muffin top! I was depending on weights and walking twice a week and still do that, however, this was the just what I needed to tighten the abdomen!

At a wobbly 84 ( though with a background as LMT ) I am appreciative of the always pertinent advice as well as the modulated soft voice. I have just found you wonderful stretches, I have my leg in plaster so seated work is perfect for me, I loved the Barr work I didn't know I wasn't a duck!!! Not quite a swan but no duck either!

Loved this Barre workout … first time I’ve tried Barre… so opted for this chair option … a great place to start but equally really does work your muscles. I sure felt the burn 🔥😊 I coped well with all the routine except for the last one … with the knee to the floor … but will work on that one gradually. My flexibility and strength has greatly improved since doing your routines. I do the strength and stretch every single day .. adding in different ones like the one mile walk and the 17 min chair yoga too … amazing … thank you

I can't tell you how much stronger I feel! Senior Shapes is what I was looking for to drop my muffin top! I was depending on weights and walking twice a week and still do that, however, this was the just what I needed to tighten the abdomen!

I have been doing SeniorShape for 3 months now and am loving it. I work out daily and wondering if you have any suggestions as to how you would divide the workouts daily? One day barre, one day cardio, one day strength? Thank you for these beautiful well done videos.

I am absolutely delighted with all of your routines but particularly highlighting the “barre” . At a wobbly 84 ( though with a background as LMT ) I am appreciative of the always pertinent advice as well as the modulated soft voice. I have just found you wonderful stretches, I have my leg in plaster so seated work is perfect for me, I loved the Barr work I didn't know I wasn't a duck!!! Not quite a swan but no duck either!
