I’ve been mentioning this from the start, that the ability to make games comparable to the power of these current gen machine just wasn’t there, due to time and talent. It’s money that’s going to literally no where, making games on these new machines is just too expensive! That and Microsoft simply needs to make sure to have hard copies of games on the shelf if they actually do make a portable. Great Stuff, as always!
As a lifetime console player starting with the Atari (yes I'm that old). This generation has driven me to the PC (my ps5 and Xbox collecting more and more dust).
One way to look at it is that nothing on consoles can impress anymore when PC gaming rolls in with 120fps and/or Raytraced gaming in comparison. Maybe it's time more devs focus on innovative gameplay to create striking experiences instead of trying to make console gamers believe their machines are graphical beasts with 30fps not-even-so-pretty experiences.
Most of the gaming public don't give a crap about 4K or 120 FPS. Look at the Switch sales! Or people holding onto their PS4. So, you're right. Innovation is far more important these days.
It’s only a handful of games that came out on next gen consoles and most of them were old gen games moved to new gen consoles and barely gta 6 is coming out then what they pull the same thing with gta 6 with they did with 5 the game was made for the ps6 same old story but this time the waits is 20 years
Correct. Normally by this time in the cycle a slim model is released at around half the original RRP. Isn't PS5 Slim much the same or more expensive? Probably Sony and Microsoft know a major price drop won't change much due to the lack of compelling titles. So may as well keep the hardware prices high.
No. GTA 6 and Judas are coming out next year. Star wars outlaws, Indiana jones, STALKER 2 and more are releasing this year. Still waiting on a new gears of war game, a new skate game, etc. Cyberpunk 2077 phantom liberty feels like the only true next gen experience I’ve had so far
