James! My husband and I are purchasing this motorhome. You inspected a Monaco for my brother from Premium coach group. He had nothing but great things to say about you. It made us feel way more comfortable buying an older used coach knowing you inspected it. Thank you for being so thorough and upfront about everything. Keep up the fantastic work! I look forward to meeting you 😊
It is nice when you inspect a coach that has nothing wrong with it! My favorite videos are the ones where an older RV has had something go wrong, and your repair ends up making it better (or stronger or more leak resistant). As always, thanks for sharing!
The water bay floor has been replaced. Tiffin sends the coaches to Kimbrough's in Tuscumbia, Ala. They replaced the rotten floor with a white sheet of High-density polyethylene (HDPE), which resists humidity. They also do the CAP Radius replacement and under the driver side front slide which also gets the rotten floor. All part of the Tiffin big three. I have an '05 that looks like that one. Great video!
that;s great information. Ive done the replacement a few times and the radius once. I remember the factory sending a crew to do the floor on a slide and they did it so quick!
Yes, the "Big 3" are common repairs done to Tiffin MHs of that era. I would be suspicious of a rig that had not had these 3 items taken care of. We own a 2010 Tiffin Phaeton 40 QTH, btw.
Each coach has unique problems with all your experience you you have great insight into each problem and weak areas of manufacturing . Enjoy your videos
Beautiful coach! Could you do a video on the inside and slide inspection sometime? When I bought a Class A last June, I had no real idea what to look for. Luckily, I bought it from a guy that runs a RV dealer shop. He had gone through it and fixed everything when he bought it 6 months earlier. New frig, new water heater, new front tires, new batteries, new sway bars, steering dampener, engine tune modification, cold air intake, etc. the good thing is, when I need something done, he gets me in quickly. Best wishes James!
Would really like to see a full inspection video to get a better understand of what to look for before I hire an professional inspector. Great videos thanks.
I have met so many people with brand new coaches during my travels who spend half their time back at the shop having warranty work done for the first year or two…just met a couple in Santa Fe NM who had a 2021 tiffin…and both the main slides out were stuck fortunately they were stuck closed None the less they had to stop there trip and head home so the coach could be worked on…
Radius failed when Grandpa scraped along a tree or building. Last year at the RV resort Tiffin Barbeque the Tech discussed the issue with no stick sealant that some people buy. Possibly remote or not able to get the proper sealant. He advised to purchase and carry a tube of "Lexel" Tough sealant for anywhere on coach. It is not cheap(14 per tube at Lowes-Home Depot)but it will seal to anything, steel, plastic.rubber, roof, siding etc etc.... you can use in your wet box and even apply when wet!! I bought a tube to try to fill small gaps on 2006 stick and tin Fleetwood Pioneer. It works awesome!!!!
That looks pretty sweet!! Thank you again for another education on these rigs. It has taught me that much of what I was told was not accurate, by an RV "tech" I helped a long time ago. Also thanks for taking the time to do the video. Hope you and family are all doing well, stay safe.
I really enjoy your videos I find them very informative. Even though I would likely hire a professional for most maintenance this helps me to better inspect my own coach for issues. I am a big believer in addressing issues promptly before they turn into big issues. Keep up the good work
At 9:10 you talked about the OTA antenna. Those were originally made by AntennaCraft (now out of business) and they were crap. Water would get into the outer housing and corrosion was common. The motor would then not turn the antenna. I find that most folks with those original antennas have had to change them out.
Hey, Just stumbled across your video. Ohhhh I lo e that you're teaching me things. Everyone also says Tiffin is the way to go. I am torn between an new Entegra Reatta XL or a new Tiffin Phaeton. I just want the better coach. Super great video and I have subscribed. Thanks.
Expertly done and well explained. I so appreciate the video and lesson on a proper RV roof inspection. I will be sure to remember the clues about the sealants. Thumbs up and subscribed! Thanks again
Queen Creek is where gold nuggets that weigh pounds are still found. Motor homes in Aridzona evaporate value faster than Milk in the sun. This thing has all ready rotted away.
a couple questions. 1. How much did it cost to fix all the little issues you found on this coach? 2. What does it cost to reapolster the driver or passenger seats? I see some great coaches, but the driver's or passenger seat looks like crap.
I am amazed, you have to know home repair, plumbing, electrical, as well as automotive and truck mechanical systems, solar. Don’t own an RV and most likely never will but I learn a lot watching you.
James, do you still do inspections? I trust you from watching many videos of yours. When I find the right motor home I would like you to perform the inspection. This is June 2022. Mark Rainey

Tiffin makes an excellent motor home.
We agree! I just have fears about Thor purchase of them though

Great video again thanks, curious if you have ever worked on or inspected a Triple E empress elite?
Lots of good information. Makes me want to find a qualified inspector before we buy a coach.
I think its a good idea especially if buying private party.
@@AZExpert how does one go about finding a good qualified inspector?
We want to see some Monaco and Holiday Rambler roof inspections keep up the videos thanks

JFYI. Tiffin uses CSL515 to seal the roof. They also sell it in their parts department. -Bill
yes, that is a self leveling silicone like nuflex just not as availble. Thanks!

What type of wax do you use on these fiberglass roofs?
James does this model have a k-5 splitter reduction reducer.I sure hope it does.
Please put a link to products you recommend. Specifically the roof caulk.
I try to linnk products used in the description. Thanks
In you opinion, what is the best "era" of Tiffin as I just bought a used 2016 Tiffin Allegro RED 37PA?

Self levelling silicone? What brand name or number would I look for.Have not seen it in Canada. Great video .
nuflex 311, heng's self leveling silicone, csl515
Ask Andrew Steel about the damage on a water bay. Lol
I've heard. lol
Great video. I have a 2013 coachman cross country dp, and you mentioned the roof can use a wax? Also what type of caulking should I use to seal the sides for my windows and other spots? Thank you love your videos!
I jsut recommend 100% silicone on sidewalls
What year of Tiffin has the least number of issues?
Great review!
I mean this one was nearly perfect but each one has its issues. the ones newer than 2013 have a great deal of added features and trim.
How do you rate a I rasca soli
New flex 311?
nuflex 311 csl515
How can you tell the difference in nuflex 311 and Dicor. They are both self leveling I think. Can they be used interchangeably?
They are not interchangeable and will not stick to each other
Great video, Please correct the spelling "inspection" in title
thank you!
You do complete inspection of all systems? You for hire to do inspections in the area?
I do most systems, but I don't look into the engine or transmission

what sealant should we be useing on that roof
nuflex 311
Any concern that someone thought that spot with the dicor needed sealant?
no. I didn't see anything loose
Do you travel to other states to perform inspections?
Very Rarely
Should have titled video, RV roof inspection.
thanks
What material is the Tiffin roof made of?
This roof is a gel-coat fiberglass.
Why do you try to peel the sealent loose when you know its not the right sealent.just doing damage to the unit and causing a leak..
to show it not sticking and to reseal it
what can you say for the Tiffin diesel engines. I am looking at buying a Tiffin and I would like to know how well the Cummings last.
I'm a fan of Tiffin
Acrylic will need not stick to silicone" peels it off the silicone lol.
LOL
They must have used divorce on my 2007 tiffin, haven't had any problems getting it to stick.
