Appears obvious to me -- that those who can't believe this is possible -- do not understand the difference between a want -- and a need ! - - - Surviving is living -- and a vacation to DUMAGUETE from Angeles is more than - simply surviving ? Many people ignorantly squander their $ falsely thinking ''that'' is living ! -?- Irresponsible spending does not equate to ''living'' necessarily. - - - Darrell has his shit together and - '''wants for nothing''' !!! > He simply assures himself of getting his money's worth - when he spends it ? And he clearly doesn't squander much !!!

Hmm, No crime in the area being referenced but there is plenty of crime in the PI. The Philippines has a shabu problem, and with that comes other crimes. And some of them turn violent when you can't get your meth fix. Most criminal activity is what one might call "petty crimes" in the US. Generally speaking though, the PI is much much safer than most of the USA.
The bottom line is he is correct. A disciplined person can mimic what he is doing all over the PI. 7000 plus islands with varying infrastructure and cultural advantages. All that can change if you're tight for cash and have a chemical addiction problem, so keep that in mind.

I definitely could live like him, but I really don’t have too.
I’m thinking about the huge amount of savings that I could have in a short amount of time if I lived like him. I really hope to score a dwelling to fix up for someone with a long-term rental agreement at a reasonable amount like Darall did.
With the extra income, if I found a girlfriend, I could definitely help her family out and change their life even if it’s just a big bag of rice for their neighborhood or village.

I am finishing up my first year here. 40k php for the house, utilities including wifi 7k php a month. Add about 14k php a month for groceries, snacks, and alcohol. Add another 1,400 php for netfix and apple tv. Medical insurance i got Pacific Cross for us both, and the top tier plan for each of us was roughly a total of 15.5k php per month. We plan on reducing our plan this coming cycle. Roughly speaking, we are living on $1350 usd a month, not including entertainment expenses. Hi daryll.
    Good to see you buddy.
    Now Mike.
You can see that you DON'T need to "climb trees for bananas to eat"
In order to live reasonably comfortably here.
Myself and Jessa cannot pass 800.
We don't have rent or payment's.
Singled out we would be coming in a lot less than 600 but we have our own meat, eggs and vegetables.
We don't live under a rock in the province. Truth be told our houses are possibly a higher standard than what the majority of expats are renting.
Coming from Ireland, when I removed the old roof from the house and stacked it neatly in the back yard because I wanted it for another project. I asked her if they were safe there and should I move them incase someone stole them and she laughed and said "this is not Ireland"

I receive more than $600 monthly, but with that I can be a lot more comfortable than living on that amount in San Diego which was the point my subscribers wanted to know about. People make more and will spend more. I was asked for a budget so I did it based upon not skimping but as a base line of having a comfortable stress free life. If people choose to live as I showed in the video then they can plan their trips to Bali Viet Nam or what ever else they can imagine. We all be need a base line in order to plan savings, material purchases and other living life activities. In my case living like that I have another $1,200 of discretionary income for what ever else I choose. So I am doing well Don't feed sad for me. I am doing better than most in this country. Homeboy is becoming a celebrity.
    Been watching since the beginning.
A very interesting channel, highly recommend.
There's a big difference between having a $600 a month income and only spending $600 a month on average.
For most of us. $600 isn't going to cut it. Especially at first.
After several months of getting settled and finding your groove.
It's probably possible to average out your expenses to a pretty low amount.
If your income is $2k and you're spending $600-800 a month. That's totally doable.
My current budget in the US is minimal because I'm saving every dime. My monthly budget is way below anyone else's. I also have more than many in a similar situation.
Knowing what you need and saving for what you want is the key. Reduce financing and resist credit cards. Cook for yourself and be self sufficient.
